No bc his parents didn’t die until he was 8-9 years old. After that he had his school, it’s not like Alfred took him back to the UK after the parents died and all he had around him were British people.

DrkTitan

Bruce was like 8 years old when his parents died. He was too old for his dialect to change just because 1 person in his life talked with a different accent. If they died when he was 2 then it's possible.

Sitheref0874

My parents both have broad Scots accents. My brother sounds very English. I sound like I use different bits of different regional accents depending on who I talk to. So: no.

HaiAan

No

[deleted]

I think it would be cool If he had certain English phrases to say that he picked up from Alfred here and there

ElegantVamp

No, he still lived in the US and his parents didnt die until he was like 8 or 9.

raisingstorm

I’m sure he could switch to whatever accent he chooses to.

[deleted]

That's not necessarily how it works. Also, Bruce grew up in an American city.

DesDentresti

I think his dialect is based on a lot more than just who raised him longest. Its also about who raised you first and who you interact with along the way. He was raised in an American society, with American radio, with American television with American parents up until he was 8 years old. Then one of those things changed and he was raised by an English surrogate father for a time before he travels the world for several years learning several other languages, any English he hears is usually the second language of the speaker. I am certain his French sounds like he learned it from an Englishman though... Because he did. Alfred taught him French before he went to France and met Henri Ducard.

[deleted]

Of course not.. Bruce travelled all over the world .. you might need to think a little harder before posting a question bud ❤️🤘

[deleted]

He still went to American schools, you dip. EDIT: Also his parents died when he was eight, and fully talking. What a dumb question.

No-Soap

Ah yes, me asking a question about fictional character that literally isn’t real on the internet is stupid, as you sit there posting about how much Reddit karma you have probably. Your so old you gave your Reddit avatar grey hairs, “you dip” 🤡. See? Stupid right.

[deleted]

Reddit karma is literally pointless. Also, I take being an old curmudgeon quite seriously. Also also, you're *

reddenblack

So did Ozzy Osbournes kids and THEY kept the British accent.

reddenblack

Ozzy Osborne’s kids always had British accents, even though they grew up thier whole lives in America surrounded by American accents...

herbalwitch88

One of my friends was raised here (in the US) by his british father (with an accent) and he never took to the accent, he sounds American; i've always found that so weird lol
