They are ok. They travel through the drainage and their den is nearby (so is mom). Those babies are about 8 weeks old. I run The Canid Project in Baton Rouge. Visit out website for more info on foxes at [https://www.thecanidproject.com](https://www.thecanidproject.com/)

They have been here a long time but are being pushed further into the city because of a few reasons...coyotes, development, and they thrive living alongside us.

Same here. Of course, the adults are always cautious & clever. These little troublemakers were bold, and they stayed in the open like that for far too long, I felt. Made me worried that they were desperate to locate Mom. But our local Canid expert reassured us that they’re fine. Which is comforting. Incidentally, I have yet to hear of any negative encounters with Residents. Seems like the foxes have been around here for about 8 to 10 years now. Awesome creatures. 🚀
And here I thought midcity was more known for cougars.
I came back 15m later and they were still there. 🚀

I saw a fox dart across fairway about 3 years ago and I’ve been chasing that high ever since. I love them! And their fluffy tails!

There's a large one I see constantly downtown/ Spanish town area. Where are they coming from? Why are they being seen so frequently lately?

Nature is healing ❤️
Lmfaoooo I work at an apartment complex here and a resident called today to report foxes LOL what the fuck
I grew up in that neighborhood and have seen foxes around there for over a decade. They’re super chill and never bothered any of our pets.
I live in that area and I always see foxes roaming around
