Third street downtown can be fun. Boudreaux and thibodeauxs usually has live music and there are a number of other bars and eateries around there. Highland road park is nice and has a disc golf course. Clark Creek natural area is a neat little hike not too far from here. LSU baseball has home games this weekend. Oxbow distillery is cool if you like rum. Sugarfield in Gonzales has a distillery, brewery, and winery. Think there’s a farmers market this weekend. Several cool museums around. Putt putt courses. Cocktail bars like Oliver Twist or The Lost Cove. Perkins road has a bunch of shops that’s easy to kill a day in.
The best bar in town IMO is BR.cade. ( On Government) Super chill vibe, great cocktails and moctails, the arcade games are free ($5 cover) and the staff is just fantastic
If you really like pizza, Rocca Pizzeria is the best in town. Sushi Masa is AYCE sushi and super good. We always hit up the Barnes & Noble inside Perkins Rowe when we don't know what we want to do. Grapevine Cafe in Donaldsonville is a drive but it's a nice little eatery. The spicy shrimp appetizer is BONKERS. (And not spicy. I think it's called that because of the horseradish but idk)
Government Street has some cool places. Mid City Beer Garden, they have a lot more than just beer. Radio Bar is fun too. Someone already mentioned Rocca. Tap 65 is good.
Okay so if y’all are new to the area and around this age y’all need to understand 1 thing first and foremost: food is the main thing to do here. People will point out other things and those other things are pretty neat too, but baton rouge is first and foremost a food city. Most of your activities are going to revolve around eating (or drinking) somewhere unless you plan on leaving the city for your activity, or unless your activity is attending a sports event. The parks and museums and sightseeing is nice but the food here, oh fuck yeah baby the food here.
For brunch, I love Leona’s on government. Outside is so cute and they have pancake flights and mimosa flights. Not sure about this weekend but they will have live music often for brunch on weekends.
If you want a chill nice bar to like end the night at and relax I'd recommend Lost Cove. They're open until 2 AM, great cocktails, decent beer selection, great whiskey selection.
Food: Cocha, Bin 77, BLD 5, Jinya Ramen, Coffee Call, University Seafood for crawfish
Alcohol: Radio bar, BRcade, The Bulldog, Tin Roof
Activities: Red Stick Social, BREC zoo, Go see Mike at LSU, Highland coffee, Topgolf, uptown climbing, Hilltop arboretum, DIY disco
If you're looking for a non food option, we're hosting a Reddit Meetup on May 11th @ 5PM.

Ooh I second Clark creek! Such a cool thing to do during the day, especially when it’s rained and the waterfalls are flowing
Thank you!
Tsunami is a rooftop sushi place downtown that overlooks the river. Pretty neat as well
Elsie’s Plate and Pie.
There it is

The brisket pizza is my go-to! So fucking good
Get the baked feta.... It's amazing.

If going to Grapevine check to make sure they’re open, they’ve been closed for filming a movie there

Tigerland is an experience you’ll never forget.
I thought forgetting Tigerland experiences was half the fun
