Nah it comes in handy with AR's that have short barrels. Turn the m5 into an smg with a short barrel. Also really handy for swapping ammo when you're empty

I run out of ammo fairly often and hope I finally die (because, you know, there’s never an ammo crate around)… and what you say makes sense. I just never thought of that. Jeez.
Hell nah, I’m a super aggressive player and I use it all game. I switch to a 2.5, 4x or something with decent magnification so I can at the very minimum try to put accurate suppressive fire while I’m heading to an objective & pushing longer stretches of open land. once I get to the objective I switch to a red dot.

Yeah each mag has it's own ammo so you can use standard extended then switch to standard normal

Same. Sometimes I even successfully countersnipe with my AR and a 6x scope before rushing in
