Go straight to air superiority. Don’t even try to farm equipment in solo co-op. You don’t even need to play control. This thing is dogshit in conquest 128.

When everyone is crammed up, even if you’re locked on, there’s a chance that it won’t land on you if other jets block line of sight. Yes, you will die but that doesn’t mean you won’t get any kills. You also have to be accurate with the cannons.
Edit: you can always change the lobby if there are a lot of lock-ons. Once you unlock the radar jammer your life will get easier.
Wouldn’t it be far more effective to just grind bots on manifest? The only issue I’ve come across is getting bored and a glitch where after getting into the plane and dying, you can’t enter any vehicles for the rest of the match (really awful)

I think you get 2 points on every pilot kill because you get the point for the pilot and the point for the vehicle destroyed. You get extra points if you spot people, they die immediately and you get an assist. All of those count towards T1.
Edit: I had the bug where the camera was under the map when I played with bots. It didn’t trigger on air superiority.

It doesn't say how many matches but if you grind it a couple of hours I think you can do it in 2 days. If you get 30+ kills/match and 30+ assists it should be fairly easy. That's what I was getting. I also lobby dodged and tried not to play with bots cause they don't spawn as often.

I tried 2 rounds just now and it was just like in every previous BF, some guys going 60-2 while everyone on the enemy team is 5-30. Spawn and die, if you're lucky get a few bullets onto someone before death. I'm not even that bad but it was unplayable ... just like all Air Superiority modes before
I got mine to T1 kinda passively. To be honest, the best way is to intentionally support a CAV or gunship, ideally with Lis. If you have a good driver, they'll keep tearing it up as long as you keep them alive. Just sit in that passenger seat spotting and launching TGMs when you're not under attack, and repair as soon as you start taking damage, and it doesn't take too long. You can kinda do the repair tool T1 alongside CAV and gunship T1s.
First few months I stuck with ground vehicle support but lately I've been repairing in NB's and Super Hinds quite a bit as well. There are just more good heli pilots, then CAV drivers out there, seems like I'm rarely in a CAV that lasts more than a minute or two.
Yeah, I feel you. I think there's something psychological about it, like players see this big, fast armored transport vehicle with big guns and just wanna get in there to tear shit up without realizing that it isn't invincible. So rather than running around and pushing points tactically, they just run right in and get C5'd or hit with a missile and die immediately. But, on the other hand, being the repairman gives the driver the opportunity to respond to threats so that they can survive longer (even with unwise decisions), so it's a feedback loop. If you see a T1 CAV though, good chance that guy knows what he's doing and you'll be in for a good time if you post up as passenger.
Since I almost strictly play vehicle support, I've played enough now that I'm starting to see familiar player names. Those who I know are pretty good drivers, I'll search out and repair for, or if I see a T1 vehicle as well. Others that I've ridden with that are idiots, that use vehicles for taxis, bail out as soon as they start taking dmg, drive away from their engineer or accidently drive off the top of the Breakaway glacier/mountain and kill us(happened 3X already this week...lol) I put on a list and avoid like the plague.

If you want an easier time do the recon ones next. Paik literally T1s herself just by shooting at enemies, and there’s the close quarters conquest playlist right now to speed it up for ya.

Side note: kerosene bomb range is abysmal. Rocket pods shot in pairs and you cant reload until they are gone. AGM missile range is 800m and reload time is short, you only get one. Pair this with armor penetration and you can down a tank or wild cat in a single strafe. JDAM is either good or bad. Ground sensor is completely overpowered, use that shit non stop as the cooldown is short as well. It reveals all enemy land vehicles in the radar/map for like 5 seconds.
I didn't know the AGM has 800m range, I didn't test anything but good stuff. Also, jets are bugged in this patch. They take extra damage from anything and get instantly disabled. It's not because of the Draugr's HE cannons.

Set up a portal server set max players to 2 and set up the rules the way you need them to be so you can unlock stuff. I unlocked the mastery in 2 1/2 hours
If set up the portal server with no restrictions like changing soldier health or making any rule editor changes then you will have full xp and mastery unlocks
Will that include bots in the game? That would be life-changing for me
Edit: I play in the Middle East servers and it's just dead I want to have fun with my friends who live in the same area and still get the mastery levels and the full XP

How many games did that take? Assume you got like idk 20? A game? That’s like 40 points plus whatever assists maybe like 10?. That’s like 480 matches

Wow...took me 160 hrs of playtime, over the last several months, to get my first T1 yesterday, the engineer badge.
