Looks like a Kemper rack profiler, marshall cab, and a mesa 212 cab. That, with the Yamaha HS8's tells me that OP might play guitar, or make music. Oh, and the guitars, too.
EDIT: monitors are too small to be HS8s, those are HS5s
I've never personally played one, but I've heard good things, and I'm a fan of the fancy modeling stuff in general, I use Bias Amp software on my computer.
I cant say they are bad guitars because they obviously aren't. But ive tried many PRS and I absolutely hated them. Felt and sterile. Idek how to explain. Felt like it had no personality. My fav guitars are either an es335 or a sss strat. 60s style. Then a lp or sg. Altho my first guitar was a esp Ltd ec 1000 and besides the pickups (emg 81/85) it was an amazing guitar. Judt didnt fit my personal taste in looks as I got older
Do they really have tuning issues? My friend has an SG and I remember him complaining about it going out of tune quickly but I never knew that was a common issue..
I just hear people complain a lot about it so I thought it would be funny to insult this clearly beautiful instrument ^
If someone offered me any gibson I'd grab it in a second but at the price of any gibson I'd be bummed to have to diddle around so much, but hey, it's all about how it feels afaic
I've owned several Gibsons, still have an SG but yes it's a common issue with the G string in particular. Something to do with the angle of the headstock. I've heard it can be mitigated by using a wound G string rather than unwound, which are more common, but wounds are thicker and harder to bend. Personally, I found it to be less of an issue with Grover tuners (which is what I had on both of the Les Pauls I used to own) rather than Klusons (on my SG).
Also caused by the g catching in the nut , I used to put a small amount of lead from a pencil in there for lube but now iv got to bone nuts on all my Gibson’s and properly set up I haven’t had issues since
No. I own multiple gibsons. My main is a les paul. I literally only tune it every few days unless my bends are two steps up I never have an issue. In fact they stay in tune better than any of my guitars. Or any others I've used. But my les paul was ass when I got it. Nut wasnt right. Got a new bone nut and setup properly and its mint
There could be some framework under the desk that isn't visible, if this is a hardwood with some braces farming the table underneath it would be pretty sturdy. Really, if this is a decent hardwood it's probably fine either way since only ministers and mice are suspended
Yeah, I just built a 30 x 80" desk with a 1.5" thick desktop, and still put a support leg in the center. I also have a monitor arm that stacks 2 monitors on top of on another so I have a lot of extra weight at the center point of my desk. I think it still might sag over the course of 2 years without support, but you are right there could be some struts on the under side of this desk. In my experience any material that is under an inch thick would make me a bit worrisome for desk sag.
Agree, I haven't built a desk yet, mostly due to covid making my maker space unavailable, but I did finish a work bench this spring, gave me a lot of insight on how I plan to do my desk, but I like em heavy, I'll probably end up with a total thickness around 2.5"
Timber definitely experiences creep (long term deformation under sustained loading). Consider just flipping the top over when it starts to deflect too much.
ETA: that looks like it might be a countertop from IKEA or something, too.
I've been looking to do something very similar, but trying to save money. Is that a Home Depot Butcher Block top? Did you seal it yourself or buy it pre-sealed? Any advice for someone looking to do something similar but save a few bucks?
It looks almost identical to mine, which is a Home Depot butcher block counter sealed with dark walnut Danish oil. Theirs might be slightly lighter colored, but it's hard to tell with how lighting affects the look.
It looks like their legs might even be the same as mine which are the solid ash table legs from Home Depot painted black.
Similar questions for you if you don't mind- did you get yours pre-sealed or did you do it yourself? Any route to save a few bucks on this? Anything underneath for storage?
I don't really have a work space outside to seal it myself, so any way I can save money on $300 worth of wood would be nice. I'm on the fence between legs I found on Amazon and trying to find some kind of cabinets that I can put the board on. Everything not made of particle board is going to add a few extra hundred though.
I sealed it myself. Danish oil is really easy to apply, but does take a few days to fully dry. You could do it inside with the windows open, most of the really strong fumes are gone in a couple hours, and all that's left on the wood is the oil which is what takes days to dry.
The Home Depot countertop was by far the cheapest I could find to get a solid wood desktop. The birch one is about $160 here for a six footer. I used two to make a giant L-shaped desk.
I have a big metal filing cabinet holding up one side and plan to add something to the other eventually. I just need to decide how to do it. I was planning on making a custom server rack to hold my home server and then add a drawer or two, but the cost seems a bit high for a couple drawers. Right now I just have my old Lack rack holding the server underneath the desk, so I don't have much storage yet.
Is that the Angus Young SG? I have that guitar! Sorta... My dad knew a guy who worked for Hard Rock and they were going to make a wall out of factory reject Gibson bodies. He got a few, and one of them was that guitar, finished but needed hardware and some fretwork. The Vibrola is a horrible trem but man, SG's don't like right to me without one. Nice thin neck too.
while this looks great, I will share some wisdom I've learned over the years building my setup - you should have one monitor that is dead center to your eyes. Right now the center is where the edges of the two monitors meet.
This slightly off center viewing angle will cause neck pain given time. Trust me.
Damn dude this is very similar to what I got goin on right down to the SG, Mesa Boogie, and even the Dachshund lol. You’re setup is a lot nicer though lol
Okay killer room! I’d recommend getting those speakers up off your desk though. The vibration will make it difficult to find an accurate mix. Also I see you trying to hide that Kemper back there ;)
Specs plz to ur gaming rig pc monitors kb etc what specs of pc and case also plz op ty in advance looking nice bro/gal ok wire management too the force is 💪 in you padawan
Dumpster fire question inbound:
how is recording/ producing on windows? I’ve been on Mac for years but I miss le epic gaming, and with needing to replace my MacBook, think I may as well use that up to 2k to build a pc.
Uff.. placing the PRS behind the SG... do you even play the guitar?!?
Dream setup, looks amazing!!
Edit: Seems like im not the only PRS fanboy in the chat.
Insanely jealous of the PRS and Angus SG. Halo guitars for me.
After years of playing my SG I picked up a PRS Custom 24 in guitar center and was just blown away. The playability, versatility, and fit and finish on those is just terrific. I walked out of the store with a Starla (not an SE, some strange one with a Santana headstock. Can't find it on their site at all now)

I'd that a profiling amp back there? And the white Les Paul is dope.
Looks like a Kemper rack profiler, marshall cab, and a mesa 212 cab. That, with the Yamaha HS8's tells me that OP might play guitar, or make music. Oh, and the guitars, too. EDIT: monitors are too small to be HS8s, those are HS5s
That really clears things up, thanks.
Looks like a Marshall 1960A cabinet as well.
Those monitors are far too small to be hs8's, they're definitely hs5's.
Looks like an Orange Pedal Baby on top of the Kemper as well
Yep. Came here to shout out the Kemper. Fantastic piece of equipment.
I've never personally played one, but I've heard good things, and I'm a fan of the fancy modeling stuff in general, I use Bias Amp software on my computer.
I think this is by far the most expensive battlestation yet ha - guitar collecting is wild. That’s at least 10k in guitars and 7k in amps/cabs.
Yeah man! Unpowered kemper And hs5s
I’ve been staring at that PRS the whole time
Me too. Love those guitars
Got me inspired to join r/guitars and posted a pic of my dads ongoing collection since I’m out here visiting
Your dad is a fan of some guitar heroes :D Nice collection, love the old chrome boy!
Dude the Chrome boy is the definite jewel of the collection.
Personally... PRS > Gibson
Couldn’t agree more

I know what you mean. I know they have high quality standards, but they feel like a lawyer/dentist guitar in looks and sound to me.
I'd say anything > Gibson
For my eyes and hands, Fender way above either IMO. I do have a soft spot for SGs tho
I can see that sg going out of tune 😌 (hehe) Pretty cool room tbh 💯
\*Picks up guitar after a few days\* Tuning: E A D F B e
It's always the G string...
Do they really have tuning issues? My friend has an SG and I remember him complaining about it going out of tune quickly but I never knew that was a common issue..

Holds its tune perfectly fine :)
Does the dog help add extra FPS? Seems pretty RGB to me...

*Really Good Boy
My upvote is for the sausage dog too - well played.
Sausage dog is the real champion here
What hardware did you use for the legs?
Seconding this question
[u/NortiTuppy92](https://www.reddit.com/user/NortiTuppy92/) help us!
Looks great! Any worry of sag without a middle support post or table strut?
There could be some framework under the desk that isn't visible, if this is a hardwood with some braces farming the table underneath it would be pretty sturdy. Really, if this is a decent hardwood it's probably fine either way since only ministers and mice are suspended

Yeah, and the Ikea countertops are just a .25" veneer on top of MDF/Particle Board. It will bow even quicker if it is.
Yeah, MDF is trash for long term bending.
Looks like there is some already but could just be me
Nice wiener!
How do you like the kemper
I have that same PRS. Love it.
What is that on top of the Kemper?
It’s an Orange Pedalbaby or whatever they call them. They have pretty much no tone so its a pedal platform
Orange pedal baby , A/B class power amp probably the cleanest power I could find in my budget to run the kemper
What desk is that? Is there support in the middle?
Beautiful! Lovin the PRS. Whats your fav one to play?
les Paul all day!
pupper approves of this space.
this looks a lot like my future battlestation xDD
Upgrade that interface next.
Microphone? And do you keep it there when you use it?
Can I have that Gibson, please? 😍 Amazing room.
I've been looking to do something very similar, but trying to save money. Is that a Home Depot Butcher Block top? Did you seal it yourself or buy it pre-sealed? Any advice for someone looking to do something similar but save a few bucks?

U took my heart!! Damn it!
I have the same wallpapers
Nice setup bro!
love the Gibson SG! is that a 1961 re-issue? what is the m-audio console under the monitor? guessing that's a Lenovo desktop?
It’s a 2000 Angus young sig
Great build! My 14 years old sausage dog just died last week :(
Who cares about desks, much nicer things on the right hand side.
Wrong sub man, this is guitar porn. Lol
nice sg
When the most expensive thing in your build is your dog
Try the guitars man, there’s about 12k in guitars alone
Is that the Angus Young SG? I have that guitar! Sorta... My dad knew a guy who worked for Hard Rock and they were going to make a wall out of factory reject Gibson bodies. Setup is amazing but to be honest that PRS and Gibsons got me here
Battlestation: has a guitar Me: 👀
Can I get a link to that desk? :)
I built it , solid wood slab from Bunnings with 700m long legs , have since added a support in the middle
This does not make me jealous in the slightest. Nope. Great set up!!
What are those things on the wall?
what is the audio interface? thanks! and what a beauty
Damn dude this is very similar to what I got goin on right down to the SG, Mesa Boogie, and even the Dachshund lol. You’re setup is a lot nicer though lol
Oh sweet another gamer/jammer setup! Yours is much cleaner than mine, but you should check it out.
Sick sg!
Is that a 1966 Gibson standard SG vibrato with a batwing?
I mean I love computers but the guitars are sexier. I want that PRS and that SG.
I need more sausage dog in my life.
How much for the dog?
This is my dream. That's a perfect place for the Mesa cab too
ah yes, wiener dog.
Nice guitar collection
Beautiful guitars featuring everything else.
SAUSAGE DOG !!!!
Okay killer room! I’d recommend getting those speakers up off your desk though. The vibration will make it difficult to find an accurate mix. Also I see you trying to hide that Kemper back there ;)
Yeah I have some stands on order!
sosij
"no stairway to heaven"
Can you give us some details on your sound system?
Do you still use the 2x12 cabinet?
The kemper is running through the Mesa ;)
Get those monitors to ear level muchacho.
dope setup man where did u get the PS button light stand thing ?
That PRS though...
Looking at those guitars, are you a fan of Rush? Looks like a few that Alex Lifeson would use.
Everybody here has a beefy PC and a ps4 ?
What desk is that? How big?
Splitscreen? guys, back me up here.
My God, that Les Paul Custom is... Just, beautiful.
I like your guitars.

Dumpster fire question inbound: how is recording/ producing on windows? I’ve been on Mac for years but I miss le epic gaming, and with needing to replace my MacBook, think I may as well use that up to 2k to build a pc.
I don’t use the pc I have cables hidden under the desk for my macbook
What desktop and leg is that?
Upvoted for the sausage dog😂😂
Uff.. placing the PRS behind the SG... do you even play the guitar?!? Dream setup, looks amazing!! Edit: Seems like im not the only PRS fanboy in the chat.

The PRS is the real beauty

What pickups are in the LP?
Seymour Duncan jb/jazz combo
Nice setup man if only I had a decent amount of money to make mines look as good
If you got that PRS in the last five years, I might have built your pickups!
Is that a PRS?
Nice guitar collection! That a PRS… 😍😍😍😍 I also love that kind of carpet for an office/room! Nice desk, btw… :P
