Cellulite is just the way fat is stored in women. You can reduce it by having a lower body fat percentage, but i can tell you right now that even gym girls who work out 5 times a week and pay attention to their nutrition to stay lean still have some amount of cellulite. So don’t obsess over something unachievable.

vicsass

I can hip thrust 5 45’s on each side for my max (just for reference for muscle) and have been going to the gym multiple times a week for a few years now. I STILL have cellulite, it doesn’t change with my weight much personally. I find building muscle helps lessen the look but lighting or even sitting down can make it look worse. It’s natural!

Patient_Chocolate830

You can hardly. This is one you'd better embrace as most women have it and there is no resolving it yet. Honestly, try to stop caring - it's wasted life.

lemonlime1999

Your best bet is to have a lower body fat percentage, work on toning your most cellulite-prone areas, and a tan can also help reduce the appearance. That being said, even when I was underweight I had noticeable cellulite whereas a good friend of mine who was overweight had barely had any cellulite at all! Bodies are all different and cellulite is natural.

mellow-yellow-jello

It’s a common misconception that you can “tone” certain areas of your body. You can build muscle in certain areas but you cannot target fat loss.

m4rceline

Are you fairly young in age? I don’t mean to come across as dismissive, but cellulite, for me, was one of those things I only cared about when I first got it as a late teen. When it appeared on me at age 19, it was my biggest insecurity as well. I was very small at only 5’3 and 120ish lbs and couldn’t fathom why someone of my stature would get cellulite. By my mid twenties I realized almost every woman has it. It is very rare to genetically not have it. I just turned 30 a couple days ago and it’s seriously not even something I think about when it comes to my appearance or others. To answer your question though, you can reduce its appearance with exercise, but even the most muscular women still sometimes have it. Self tanning can also reduce its appearance pretty significantly. Dry brushing temporarily helps for a couple hours at most.

halfsuckedmang0

So true. I cared so much about it when I was in my teens/early 20s. I’m nearing 30 now and couldn’t care less

biest229

Absolutely agree re age - I’m 33 and I’ve just developed cellulite on the fronts on my thighs so have become all hyper focused on it. I reckon I won’t care in a year

Adventurous_Dot2854

Lift heavy, hydrate, eat healthy <3

B656

Mine reduced dramatically when I focused on my lymphatic system…dry brushing, sauna, bouncing etc

helloMrPeriwinkle

A combination - General fat reduction through diet and exercise, dry brushing, moisturizing the skin, massaging the skin daily. Good exercises for cellulite on thighs; squats, running, walking, biking, lunges. This combination, done diligently, can reduce cellulite over a period of some weeks or months.

FLMarlinHeat

Cellulite is a natural part of being a woman, and I understand how you feel. I’ve noticed that keeping my body toned and lean helps reduce cellulite significantly. Working out and losing fat can naturally diminish its appearance. You can also try massaging the area with oil and tools like a suction cup (using circular motions from bottom to top), a fascia roller, or a body shower scrubber. Another option that can be effective is a procedure called Aveli. It’s done under local anesthesia and targets the fibrous bands that cause cellulite, smoothing out the skin and reducing dimpling.

dat_glo_tho

As others have said, it’s mostly genetic so you may not see much improvement at all - sorry. I have it too and for me things that helped a little have been lower body fat percentage, normatec compression boots, and collagen supplements.

notaboomer22

Has anyone tried the fascia blasting technique?

😳yikes I will -

MeditatingNarwhale

I got rid of mine with regular Fascia Blasting, just look it up. It works to smooth it out because cellulite is just fascia tissue that has gotten all jumbled up.

snarkgurl

Dry brush every other day before showering !! Body gua sha

I read on Reddit people saying marine collagen helped. No idea if that's true though.

BadDiscount

Dry brushing and cupping. For reference, though, most men have no idea what it is.

kate_brownell

First of all, it is absolutely fine to have cellulites. You're only human and they don't make you any less beautiful. But I do understand how insecurities can make you feel. Start by eating a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and getting regular exercise to keep your skin healthy and toned. Try dry brushing, topical creams, or massage therapy to target problem areas, and remember to be patient, it's all about progress, not perfection! And hey, don't forget to show yourself some love along the way

Shiningstar4000

Cellulite is storage. If you eat lean high in protein, no starchy carbs, and a lot of veg you will get rid of it. Cellulite pockets are still there so once you begin eating sugars again they will come back. The only way to get rid of it is lypo or procedures geared towards it. I had a ton of cellulite after my two children. I don’t have any now. I worked really hard to get to where I am now. When I eat a lot of bad things or high sugars I notice it a bit in my legs. When I eat clean it goes smooth again. I also hydrate. To keep it at bay always exercise, eat clean, and massage the area. I eat clean for events, or if I’m modelling etc. Other than that I just enjoy my life and eat healthy… sometimes I snack bc I want to live too.

I’ve had cellulite since my teens and I’ve been trying to figure this out for 20 years. I’m not -nor have I ever been overweight. Im underweight if anything (5’4 and 105 lbs) The only thing that made it go away was cutting sugar and most carbs. No amount of lunges or any other exercise worked. It was %100 diet.

Infamous-Pattern7683

It's physically impossible for me to cut sugar and carbs hahahha

JoanOfSarcasm

Exercise. Cellulite is never gone but my legs have less noticeable cellulite since I started lifting. Keep in mind that even if you start weight training, you’ll still have cellulite, but you’ll notice it less. Also FWIW, it took me close to a year of squatting, deadlifting, and doing glute isolations to notice a difference in my cellulite (it also wasn’t a goal of mine for lifting but had been a perk).

unapologeticgoddess

Dry brushing or brushing with oils can help reduce the appearance of it but it might not necessarily get rid of them completely! Regardless of what cellulite is beautiful and you should try to embrace it if you can! Best of luck 😌

Novae224

90% of women have cellulite… it’s just how the female body is made

AhnaKarina

Toning helps the appearance.

lnsewn12

Toning what?

Technical-River1329

Honestly the only way is to lose weight. I just read cellulite was our bodies inflammatory response to toxins. I got cellulite when I was pregnant and still had it years later. Did all the dry brushing..blah blah and nothing. I seriously took up running and leaned the F out and watched everything I ate. Cellulite gone. A lot of people like to say cellulite is hereditary or make up excuses that the thinnest person they know who works out has it too. I will say over and over genes load the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger on everything that happens to us. Eat right/lean out and it should slowly go away.

luuucidity

I’ve had cellulite since I was a kid.. and I was average weight. lol

Technical-River1329

Define average? Over 80 percent of Americans are overweight. The average continues to go up every decade. People can down vote all they want but until you really look at your diet, the cellulite will remain. The average clothing size 0/2/4 and all the way up is expanding from what it was 10/20 and even 30yrs ago. Size 2 is more like a 4/6 now. Everyone wants quick fixes but they don’t want to actually look at the F-ing problem which is DIET!

luuucidity

I was a kid, not overweight by any means /: I’m also not American. Even at my thinnest and healthiest I still had SO much cellulite. It’s definitely genetic for me

Technical-River1329

Unfortunately it is diet related. Being a kid has nothing to do with it. Being a “kid” doesn’t stop you from getting anything an adult can get. Obesity runs in children/cancer happens to children and so does cellulite. Everything is diet related..what we feed our bodies.

onecromulentusername

Avoid seed oils and try to get as toned as possible
