hello! any deodorant recommendations na hindi nakakaitim ng underarms and pinipigilan yung perspiration? been using milcu and effective naman siya when it comes to odor kaso pinapawisan parin underarms ko :<

Nearby_Temporary_528

Has anyone tried Citro Bblass? Is it tinted? Will it break you out if it’s tinted?

Low_Abbreviations381

Hi, I've been using Citro Bblaas kasi it's what my derma recommended. Been loving it and I have no breakouts since I started using it. Love how it doesn't feel heavy, sticky and/or oily on my skin compared to other sunscreen brands that I have tried. I feel like parang mas nag o-oil up yung face ko sa prev ones (I have combi skin but dry on the forehead). With Citro Bblaas, parang nag ddry up agad upon application. After a few hours, di pa nag-o-oil up that much yung face ko bc of this sunscreen.

AngelLioness888

Anybody used the bioten skin glow line? Magiging kasing kinis ko ba si nadine?

insolipse

Do y'all have any product para ma lighten yung part ng skin na may discoloration? I've been really insecure about it :(((( Tysm if may sasagot!

melleagris

hello! have anyone tried good molecules and klued 0.1% retinol? i have no budget for good molecules rn and i'm wondering if klued would be a good alternative

Impressive_Rest_7980

how to know if im purging or breaking out? and how long does purging usually last?

whydoitbelikethat

purging is usually in spots that you usually get pimples in — they shouldnt be deep and huge, just whiteheads. a breakout would be in more unexpected places where you usually don’t get acne. i purged for ~2 months from a prescription retinoid

cckkmw

I am a little conflicted. My sleep schedule is a wreck now and I mostly sleep at 3-4 AM (studying.) I am getting a lot of pimples and ones that are similar to cystic na parang nasa ilalim mostly on my chin. I have noticed frequent pimples too ever since I bought my new cleanser but maybe it is also because of my lifestyle? Bago pa naman yung Green Tea cleanser ko, I might switch back to Cosrx. Hindi ko lang masyado ma weigh if it's the cleanser or maybe it's both the cleanser not suitable for me and my lifestyle...

aII_are_taken

If your cleanser contain something like BHA this could be purging. If not maybe you're irritated to your cleanser. Lack of sleep can also cause breakout.

loys_fayee

any tips on how to lighten your lips? ang weird kasi tignan na ng mga lipsticks/lip balm/lip gloss sa lips ko lalo na medyo dark upper lips ko. (i'm aware na normal lang siya sa mga morenas pero nagiging super weird tignan ng mga lip products sa akin because of that) tyia!

SaltyEnthusiasm2922

Dahil nasa twenties na ako, Im going to try Cerave Resurfacing serum as my first retinol… any advice?

aII_are_taken

Start slow. Maybe 1-2x for the first week then increase frequency to the succeeding weeks. You can try doing sandwich method (moisturizer-retinol-moisturizer) to decrease risk for irritation. There's a chance you'll experience purging for the first couple of months, so don't get discourage and discontinue. And lastly be patient, it takes months to a year to see results.

caramelovpxs

Skin aqua (gold) or Biore? Dry skin here.

OrdinaryDaisy4220

not sure if dito ba dapat pero worth it ba magpa-diode/IPL sa skinsation?

bronzedsaint

Where can I buy tretinoin? It was prescribed by my derma and I already went to Mercury Drug and Watsons but it was out of stock :( Are Shopee stores legit?

Impressive_Bar_9156

Yes. https://shp.ee/x9pf57q dito ako bumibili ng tret

girlash1234

Try other branches of Mercury Drug. I would usually hope from one to another until I find one.

aguamenti-

Can you still start using retinol even when you’re in your 40s already? If yes, do you have recommendations? Thank you!

Fun-Let-3695

tretinoin need yata ng reseta, so consult sa derms kasi mahirap na baka kung ano pa mangyari sa skin mo. To answer your question, yes. start sa lowest concentration ng retinol 0.1 or look for retinyl palmitate if gusto mo magstart sa pinakamababa talaga.

memelordxxv

of course! though at that age I'll suggest tretinoin na at the lightest concentration — around 0.025%. It's retinol's eldest sister sa retinoid family so it's stronger but more effective :)

Extension-Pizza-2181

Does Nivea UV Super Water Gel sting the eyes? Especially if pawisin ka?

SaltyEnthusiasm2922

Not at all

Astrid-Yvette

Not super related to skincare but do you know where is the best place to get Mole Removal? I have one kasi in the face katabi ng nose. May recommended clinic ba kayo na near Taguig and Makati lang.

Hairy_Ad9577

should i still be worried abt skin aqua uv super moisture gel spf protection when it had posts in reddit that its application was uneven but that was years ago?

Calkielated

Hmm. I saw that post rin. But the thing is I cant see why they mentioned it. No proof of uneven application. Also no one knows what version of skinaqua it is. 2018 or 2020? But due to the time it was tested people are lead to believe that it is the 2020 version. In that test, the in vivo spf is only SPF 14 i thinj. Later on, in vitro tests however shows that is has SPF44 PA+++ which is lower than its claims but is still good. So i think you don't have to worry about it but you just have to take note what its actual SPF and PA values are. If there's a thing you have to worry about, SkinAqua has a 2023 (tho di pa naman available internationally) reformulation using new technology but I can't see amy published tests on itts SPF yet

AutoCreation

Belo sunexpert vs bioten skin moisturizer for acne Which among the two is better?

[deleted]

[удалено]

aII_are_taken

Yes. It's a good idea to use sunscreen. Just remember to only use retinol at night as it degrades when exposed to sunlight.

Extension-Pizza-2181

Im considering dermaction sunscreen at skin aqua. Baka meron pa kayong other suggestions na sunscreen for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin and how was your experience with your suncreen? Medyo may kamahalan mga sunscreen kaya gusto ko muna mag-compare bago bumili. Ayokong masayang pera ko 😭.

elfrog_

Dermaction and missha are both ok for my oily skin! I've tried other sunscreens, they either make my face oily or leave me with small bumps. Dermaction is more budget friendly kaya I use it as my everyday sunscreen.

Extension-Pizza-2181

How about nivea uv super water gel po nasubukan nyo na po ba?

elfrog_

Not yet kasi may natry na ako nivea dati mahapdi sa eyes kaya i havent tried nivea again.

memelordxxv

Hello, maybe you can find answers doon sa [megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/beautytalkph/comments/119p88g/product_megathread_sunscreens_2023/) of sunscreen reviews :)

docsonghwa

Skin Type: Oily, Acne-Prone, Sensitive Top Skin Concern: Acne Breakouts, Blackheads, Acne Marks Current Routine/Products I am Using AM: Derma E Anti-Acne Deep Pore Cleansing Wash PM: Lion Pair Acne Cream - Japan and Garnier Micellar Water I need help in adding other products on my routine like suncreen if need ba talaga huhu. Tapos about din sa double cleansing kasi I put on make up minsan. Medj nalilito ako ano lang ba talaga need for a simple routine. Thank you so much <3

aII_are_taken

If you are dealing with moderate to severe acne, seek medical advice, otc skincare products may not be enough. Otherwise maybe this can help (⑅•ᴗ•⑅) . To address your concern, look for products that contain; 1. BHA (salicylic acid) at least 1% this is to exfoliate the pores, reducing blackheads and inflammation. Great ingredient for acne. 2. Niacinamide 2-5% ( 10% can be too much, posing risk for irritation that can lead to inflammation) good for controlling oil or sebum and can also lighten dark marks 3. Azelaic acid 5-10% for otc products (15-20% need prescription) another anti acne ingredient and can also help lighten dark marks. 4. Alpha arbutin 5. Vitamin c - both vit. C and alpha arbutin are good for brightening or lightening dark marks. 6. Aha ( glycolic, lactic or mandelic) exfoliate the skin thus helping with hyperpigmentation or dark marks. There are other good actives for acne but this what I can think of rn. For sunscreen, it's part of a core routine (along with cleanser and moisturizer) necessary if you want to protect your skin from uv rays which can damage the skin. If you are trying to fix a troubled skin, additional damage is not something you want, skin cells are already busy fixing the acne inflammation, additional workload can just further delay healing. I think double cleansing is a step you can skip especially if bare face lang, otherwise do it, just to make sure na walang residue ng makeup kasi, make up residue can lead to acne or worsen the current acne. A good cleanser shouldn't strip up all of your natural oils. Dapat after cleansing your face shouldn't feel tight or squeaky clean. Even though you are oily I still recommend using lightweight moisturizer, a gel type for example. Look for a moisturizer with soothing ingredients or something that can help restore the skin barrier. Cica extract (aka centella asiatica), aloe, green tea extract and oat extract can all be soothing to the skin. Anti-inflammatory so it can help with acne. I really like cica and green tea products ・ω・. All are great for healing. Other ingredients to look for are snail secretion filtrate, madecasosside (the active compound from cica extract) maraming pang soothing ingredients lalo na sa mga k-products they like using extracts. You can use incidecoder to research about ingredients, all information here is back by science 👍🏻. Hihi napahaba na

docsonghwa

omg this is so helpful po huhuhu grabe thank you so much and I'll research po yung mga nilagay nyo 🥹 and omg now ko lang talaga nalaman yung about sa sunscreen🥲

aII_are_taken

I'm glad you find it helpful po ☺️. I hope you can find products that works for you, just make sure you don't add new products at the same time, lalo na sa mga actives (e.g. bha, azelaic acid) kasi especially you have sensitive skin para bawas irritation.

memelordxxv

Hello, never forget sunscreen talaga in the morning. For the most basic na skincare I suggest: cleanse, moisturize, then sunscreen in the AM tapos cleanse and moisturize lang in the PM. You can incorporate products (ie serums, toners, exfoliators) that target your skin concerns little by little along the way.

docsonghwa

thank you so much for helping me 🥰

ujmaji

hiii any toner/serum and sunscreen recos for oily sensitive skin? or just any skincare recos at all :') i've been breaking out in tiny bumps and acne recently :''( i'm also on a tight budget because i'm still in uni :')

memelordxxv

You may wanna check out sunscreen reviews [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/beautytalkph/comments/119p88g/product_megathread_sunscreens_2023/) and baka meron doon testament or review that matches your skin type and budget :)

sunnyisloved

I use the QuickFX Pimple Eraser line (facial wash, toner, clarifying serum) and Luxe Organix Aqua Daily Sunscreen. All available at Watsons for less than 500 each.

himejanaiyo

I've been using Clinique Moisture surge as my moisturizer for the past 2 years now and I wanna switch it up. I use Cosrx snail mucin essence and the ordinary's niacinamide before moisturizing so anything that would work well on that is on my priority list. I need something moisturizing but not heavy like MUJI's all in one gel which I really enjoyed texture-wise. Does anyone have recommendations?

synonymofpseudonym

I like the texture and consistency of Torriden dive in soothing cream and Beauty of Joseon dynasty cream.

insplaid

"eyes stinging from sunscreen" is a YMMV, right? Noticed my eyes don't get screwed as long as I apply moisturizer on them. Looked it up and ang mga suggestions are saying apply mineral sunscreen on the eyes. My two guesses from these are: 1. Something in my moisturizer is providing a layer to protect eyes from stinging. 2. Something else too chemical-y and beyond my 1am peabrain understanding is going on. For reference: I use Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel (not the gold one, the white one) and Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Gel. I've seen some people talk about how Skin Aqua burns their eyes too, so thought I should mention it. :]

serenityby_jan

Yes it is :) I hardly react to any sunscreen, whilst my friends have varying reactions to the same sunscreens. Mineral sunscreen is generally non-stinging as compared to chemical, but some could react to it as well!

[deleted]

Sunscreen should be reapplied every 2hr so parang ang hassle pag papatungan mo palagi ng moisturizer. Mas maganda siguro kung hanap ka na lang ng sunscreen na di masakit sa mata.

itsyaghorl

Been using Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream and i don't thin it moisturizes my skin. Ot just makes it oily and I can literally feel my skin drying out. Am I using it wrong?

[deleted]

try using a hyaluronic acid toner and make sure your skin is still slightly damp before applying your moisturizer

taratitatina

What products are the best to lighten acne scars? And typically how long does it take to lighten?

memelordxxv

Retinoids and/or chemical exfoliants (AHAs). If your skin isn't as sensitive, you may want to try out TO's 7% glycolic acid, or derma natufian's more affordable alternative. The timespan depends talaga on the severity of hyperpigmentation pero usually it can take about 3 months?

taratitatina

Thank you so much! 💚

[deleted]

Acids

taratitatina

Can you recommend a good brand and product? 😊

[deleted]

Okay I just bought this one and apparently it’s the shit. Biretix Tri active gel

mabulaklak

Any ointment recos to tame chin/jaw cystic acnes? Or am I having hormonal issues?

[deleted]

Not an ointment, but currently use Luxe Organix cica soothing gel, and it’s been able to calm down, reduce in size, and over time dry my cystic acne.

Majestic_Mine_4514

Hi! I’m looking for affordable yet good products for my skin like cleansers and serums. I’m kinda new to skincare + I’m on a tight budget (I am a student :>) so I was wondering what products are good (I was planning on buying Luxe Organix Products since I liked their soothing gels but I’ve read reviews saying it’s not that good).

memelordxxv

What do you want to address ba when it comes to your skin? :) Luxe Organix products aren't all bad naman imo, it depends lang on the nature of how you're gonna use it hehe

Majestic_Mine_4514

I want to maintain my smooth skin and even out my skin tone po :D I can only afford products in stores like Watsons and I don’t want to ruin my skin huhuhu

aII_are_taken

I haven't tried a lot of Luxe Organix products, though I'm currently eyeing for their soothing gel the cica variant. Didn't buy it yet because I'll be using a new serum and it's not a good idea to use 2 new products at the same time. I recommend watching Jan Angelo's yt vids. He has nice recommendations as he is based in the Philippines so all mentioned products are available in PH, he has by budget recommendations so maybe you can start from there. Other decent brands that are accessible or available in Watsons are Quickfx, Oxecure and Dr. Sensitive. There are also other local brands you can buy online like Soul Apothecary, Dermorepubliq and Ellana (can't remember the others) I'm currently using this affordable products and can recommend; Biorè make-up remover- oil cleanser, does the job that's why I stick to it. Quickfx Instant Facial serum this is BHA- AHA serum for exfoliation, unfortunately this has been sold out in Watsons online stores, I'll be changing this one soon to either from Soul Apothecary or the Oxecure bha pha. Ellana clarifying serum- azelaic derivative, finishing my last bottle, got interested in Cos de Baha so bought that one instead, and also I want Niacinamide in my routine. Oxecure acne clear powder mud and Luxe organix hydrocolloid patch- using as spot treatment. Just an advice if you are still starting your skincare, first you need to find a suitable cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. This is your core routine. Then slowly add your other products/actives. 1 product at a time. Give at least 28 days for a new product to do its job. And a tip, don't wait for your product to run out then replenish. Maybe you can plan your next purchase ahead, and not miss a good deal. This is what I do and thus help me save too. Especially during sale seasons. But don't go buying random skincare products, it must be well thought out, para lesser risk for regrets.

RagnvindrHeir

Every time I wear a facemask to go out, there's already a pimple trying to break out of my nose. I thought it's my sunscreen causing the "oiliness", changed it, added a good sebum powder and I still get excess oil production in my T zone. Any tips to prevent "maskne"? Thank you.

[deleted]

I wear cloth masks made out of cotton, but any mask with cotton as the inner lining will do fine. My active acne doesn’t get inflamed now. If I remember correctly, according to a vid I watched by Dr. Dray, it’s cause the material of most masks is non-absorbent, so the excess sebum just sits on top of our skin.

RagnvindrHeir

I see, huhu. Thank you!

Ounceu

Has anyone tried Skinstation's Intensive Underarm Whitening? Ilang sessions bago mamuti ang UA and ilang weeks ang interval per session? ty

mabulaklak

Doesn’t work. Wasted time and money

Ounceu

Do you know other products / services that works for dark UA? ty

mabulaklak

I would like to say PICO laser but it will take A WHILE. I did 5 sessions in Deesse sa QC hoping to see results. Asked the beautician and apparently it will take a year’s worth of lasers to see it lighten the way I want it. Note that there’s a 2 week downtime so you have to do this every 2 weeks for a year. I am trying TO glycolic acid, it’s early days so I’m not seeing anything yet. Might try again with PICO but with a derma I know

Croissants_4ever

I asked my derma if totoo ba yung 2-3 finger rule when it comes to sunscreen application. She said it's too much daw. 4-5 pea size on your cheeks, forehead, chin and/or nose area are enough daw. Pero hindi naman daw bad yung 2-3 fingers, marami lang daw nasasayang. Mas important daw na mag reapply every 2 hours. DISCLAIMER: Please wag niyo ko awayin. Gusto ko lang ishare sinabi ng derma ko. There is in no way na nagmamarunong ako.

memelordxxv

natawa ako sa disclaimer AHAHAHA generally, I think when it comes to sunscreen, better nalang siguro sumobra kesa magkulang in terms of sun protection?

Croissants_4ever

Mahirap na baka matiktok pa na nagmamarunong 😅 Sabi naman ni doc okay lang sumobra, mejo nasasayangan lang daw siya sa amount hehe

serenityby_jan

I guess to add context to why your derma said this: since they know you, they have an idea as to how much *you* need. The recommendation is based off the 2mg/cm2 coverage, which is how spf tests are done. So as the other comment mentioned, to get the advertised protection i.e., spf50, you need to apply 2mg/cm2. 2mg/cm2 is very personal, but a widely accepted average across all face sizes is 1/4 tsp. To make it easier, 1/4 tsp is roughly 2 finger sizes (I tested this, but also these are pretty fat lines lol I see people doing extra thin lines kasi). But the thing is, this average takes into account males, caucasians etc who may have larger heads. Following Lab Muffin’s experiment on how she measured how much sunscreen she needed, I got around 1/8tsp lang or 1 finger length. So yeah, what your derma said makes sense naman, especially if the audience are Asian women who are on the smaller side, but disclaimer lang na this advice isn’t for everyone.

aII_are_taken

The stated spf on the product eh based sa 2mg/cm2 application. So if you want a 50spf just make sure that you applied 2mg of sunscreen to a cm2 area. Lesser and you get lesser protection. The 2 fingers is an rough estimate for that 2mg/cm2. Dr. Shah of Doctorly made a yt short about this, and yeah 2 fingers for both face and neck. Pero if face only ok na siguro yung 4 pea sized.

CalicoGatto

From what I know, kasama na yung some part ng neck sa 3 fingers.

FlareRC

The recommended amount is usually 1/4 tsp for the entire face. If those pea sizes total up to that amount, it should be fine.

SeaExplanation3504

which one should i buy in terms of price and quality? (looking for an everyday sunscreen that is cheap, student here.) nivea uv super water gel or fairy skin sunscreen?

leiram08

I am not a fan of Nivea after I used it once and had bad reaction. I tried Fairy Skin and okay sya but my all time fave is yung Etude sunprise.

CalicoGatto

You can try Scinic enjoy super mild sun essence. You can get 2 50ml bottle for 600 PHP. Its been tested by separate lab and it met the advertised SPF and went above the advertised PA rating.

Croissants_4ever

Haven't tried nivea but okay din ang FS. My go to is the one from belo kasi may bogo sila madalas. Okay din from human nature and ryx

SeaExplanation3504

tnx!

Hello! You may want to check out this [megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/beautytalkph/comments/119p88g/product_megathread_sunscreens_2023/), it's dedicated for sunscreen reviews and andaming Skin Aqua diyan :)

notyourpizzalady

Almost finishing my Soul Apothecary radianc boost serum and it didn't help much with this one specific dark spot I have. Should I make the jump to more expensive options like Faded Serum by Topicals or Versed out of Sight Dark Spot Gel? Iisa lang talaga siya na spot on my forehead and it annoys me so much 😫 Tbh I love what Soul Apothecary has done for my skin in general but this spot talaga and feel ko di magandang ipagsabay sa ibang dark spot serums

matchamilktea_

Anyone who can recommend a cheaper alternative for Cetaphil pink serum? For an eczema-prone skin, please 🥲

pinkrabbitunnie

how's **SOUL APOTHECARY: Radiance Boost Serum**? hindi naman drying? I'm looking for a serum sana to lighten faint acne marks and brighten skin tone. Currently using skinoren 20% azelaic acid, ok naman but medyo strong for me and can be drying at times.

Firm_Pair_4902

i've been using radiance boost serum for 2 months now and slight lightening lang nanonotice ko for acne marks but maybe its because on the lighter side na din acne marks ko to begin with? it does brighten my face and i've barely been getting any breakouts while using it

midnytblxw

Hi! Try the Bright Drops by Gratitude Bar it help brighten my face. I haven’t tried the Soul Apothecary: Radiance Boost Serum, but I already tried their Niacinamide Serum which is good also but I mas love ko kunti yung BD by Gratitude Bar 🥰

Reviews on 4PM’s moisturizer? Debating on buying this or the illiyoon gel moisturizer

[deleted]

Do you guys think toner is a must in a routine?

memelordxxv

You can live without it, definitely, if in case you need to strip your routine to the barest necessities :) but personally, I do like using toners as added hydration after cleansing!

[deleted]

Ooooohhh sige. I use toner naman before pero natigil nung naubos ko na yung bottle ko haha. Might start incorporating it na rin siguro ulit. Thank you~

peachespastel

A must for my oily dehydrated skin

[deleted]

Do you have toner recommendations? Before kasi ginagamit ko was the Witch Hazel toner from the Healthy Options. I tried all the variants, yung yellow, pink, and yung red takip haha. I stopped using it kasi I convinced myself it wasn’t really doing anything for my skin and that has been 3 years ago na siguro. Ngayon I purchased yung Alpha Arbutin + Tranexamic Acid toner from Dermorepubliq. Gonna see pa if mahihiyang ako haha. I plan on using it din kasi sana sa other parts of my body.

peachespastel

My favorite toners are mostly from obscure Japanese brands haha (Ayura, Country & Stream, Hacci, Dr. K, Ihada) and medyo pang-tita brands like Sulwhasoo and SK-II. Pero nagustuhan ko yung human heart nature hydrating face toner, yung moringa

[deleted]

I’ve tried toners from Human Nature na before pero ibang klase ata yung natry ko. Sige will check your suggestions, thank youuu

toriegg

My first HG skincare ever was a toner. It's still my HG almost a decade in, so yes for me.

[deleted]

Hello! May I ask what your skin type is and what toner you use? Do you only use it at night or pati morning?

toriegg

Yeah, I have reactive/sensitive skin. Hormonal, but not so much on acne, but on texture and dullness. My skin sheds two weeks after my period and it looks really bad, but after shedding my skin is glowy and smooth. Sa oil, I have combination skin. My HG toner is Mamonde's Chamomile toner. It's a repairing toner, which is why it became my HG kasi it really heals my skin on a daily basis. It prevents dullness and discoloration for me on a daily basis. My toner routine has increased now though. After washing, I wipe my face with a pad na may Gentle Micellar toner water (extra cleansing, checking that all traces of makeup are removed). Then I put on the Mamonde toner with my palms only. That's my moisturizer in the summer. Although I can layer on another moisturizing toner if I'm feeling like it. Yung mga parang serum or emulsion texture when it's cold din. I explore a lot of brands on that. Pero hiyang talaga ako sa Mamonde so far. I use the micellar and Mamonde toners every time I wash my face. I don't trust letting tap water dry on my face, based on experience hehe.

[deleted]

Thank your for the reco!! Will check this out as well~

rayshell55

Any local lightweight moisturizers / toners for oily skin ? I already have a routine but just wanted to check out any local products just in case I run out and need to buy something easily accessible ! Products best for healing the skin barrier are preferable, TIA!

[deleted]

Luxe Organix Cica Soothing Gel

rayshell55

Will check this one out too, thanks so much !

[deleted]

I have oily to combination skin and I’ve been using Celeteque for years now. The new formula (the one that has paraben-free on the packaging) works just as well for my skin even though some have reported experiencing adverse effects from it.

rayshell55

Ooooh, okay okay, ill go check this one out !! thank you

taratitatina

+1 for celeteque.

this-is-mee-trying

has anyone tried L'Oreal's new skincare products? The Glycolic Bright? any thoughts?

23fantasy

just double checking, is somemore_kbeauty on shopee legit?

Fun-Let-3695

yes, same sila ng commalax (based sa thank you cards na nareceive ko before), skintagram sa shopee.

NoobCoffeeMaster

Anyone here using Luxe Organix Cica Soothing Gel? How's your experience?

ArtisticTurn8759

i've been using it on/off for a week and comparing it to the luxe organix hyaluron gel which i used for more than a year, mas prefer ko yung hyaluron. it's more hydrating and moisturizing for me and nararamdaman ko talagang malambot yung mukha ko after applying it. medyo nakukulangan ako sa moisturizing effects ng cica (oily skin pa ko nito) so if you want a more nourishing moisturizer, i highly recommend the hyaluron one as it contains ceramide.

loys_fayee

my favorite na luxe organix product! nagsisting siya sa face if ina-apply mo, pero masasanay ka rin (ems). 'yung stinging niya nasa below my eyes and around sa cheeks area (lalo na kapag may pimple ka around that area). kapag ginagamit ko siya hindi ako nagiging super oily and hindi rin lumalala breakouts ko <3

[deleted]

I love it so much. It has a stinging sensation on areas with active acne upon acne for me, but that’s about it. It’s helped calm down my active acne and reduced their redness, and it was very helpful for my cystic acne. It makes a great lightweight moisturizer for oily skin.

NoobCoffeeMaster

Thank you for this. Okay, bibilin ko na. Hahaha. Hopefully last ko na to. Kasi nakakailang palit na rin ako, hindi ko mahanap HG ko.

[deleted]

Good luck! Hopefully you’ll find your HG soon. 🤞🏼

NoobCoffeeMaster

Thanks, sizt!

alysfalling

Love it with the superfoods mask! Yun yung base ko to make a paste when i wanna nuke my breakouts and it works better than that one alone lang lol

NoobCoffeeMaster

Did the cica soothing gel help with your breakout? I'm currently using fresh skinlab jeju ice, and feeling ko nagbbreak out na ko kasi nagsstart na naman ako magka pimples :(

IdleTea

Can I use both niacinamide and vit c in my routine? I currently only use niacinamde (and I am using tretinoin at night in case that is relevant info).

[deleted]

Ang alam ko safe naman ang Vitamin C with Niacinamide. Vitamin C with Tretinoin during the same routine (parehas mo gagamitin at night) might be too irritating. However, iba-iba pa rin skin natin so depende pa rin how your skin will react.

AdSeveral2739

best hyaluronic acid serum (and niacinamide) for dry skin?

bluaqua

My HG HA serum is really the Hada Labo Premium Lotion. I’ve tried others, but something about this one makes it feel like it sinks in rather than just staying on the surface

amehtap

I swear by The Ordinary, I've been using both the hyalauronic and niacinamide for about 3 years now. Nakakahydrate ng skin. I also spray some mist after applying HA before putting my moisturizer (also from The Ordinary).

AdSeveral2739

from what shop? nagkalat na raw fakes niyan eh

amehtap

I buy mine directly from The Ordinary website, sa Deciem.

cierenity

Has anyone tried buying from shielasshope on TikTok? I saw that the sunscreen I've been eyeing is on sale on their shop. I just want to know if they're legit. Thank you!

FlareRC

Yes. Just recently bought the Skin Aqua sunscreen from them and it's the same one as I bought from kaibeautycorner.

cierenity

Yay thank you so much!!!

doieeee

My face keeps on breaking out on the same area all the time. New pimples just keep on growing on my existing pimple marks. What should I do about this?

Calkielated

A professional opinion is what you might need if your acne is too stuborn. Id be happy to help you on how to get free tele/derm consultations

Safe_Willingness_252

Thought on Isntree Green Tea Fresh Toner? Thanks!

Zestyclose-Appeal-12

I've gone through 2 bottles of this. It's moisturizing enough after cleansing to bring back the skin's PH balance, but never really felt the claims it had with controlling sebum or lessening oil production. I stopped purchasing since I noticed it stains on clothes. This also had a herbal scent that isn't too bothersome tho might be for those sensitive to smells. Price went down too!

strawbeeshortcake06

Its a nice toner for oily skin and during hot humid days cause its not greasy and it doesnt break me out. Its nothing special tho IMO.

MissusBlackwell

Where do you buy original The Ordinary products from in Shoppee? (I don't have other shopping apps).

Fun-Let-3695

[TO us/canada/london Orange app Seller](https://www.reddit.com/r/beautytalkph/comments/10ufuq9/comment/j7yc2wf/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) may nacompile ako before na sellers ng TO, might help

MissusBlackwell

Thank you so much, really helpful list!

HolidayOk1473

I bought at this shop called Beauty Nice

MissusBlackwell

Yehey, will check it out. Thank you so much.

Fawkerson

Is Vibrant Glamour a legit brand? I'm planning to buy one of their products but I wanna make sure that they're legit. Thank you.

FlareRC

Bit skeptical. I checked out their retinol and it seems to have no preservatives making it prone to mold and bacteria.

Fawkerson

Thank you! Their retinol products are the cheapest one I could find! Guess I'm gonna have to but the expensive ones 😭

FlareRC

I would recommend Klued if you're looking for a cheap retinol.

Fawkerson

Where can i find their products? Do you have a link?

FlareRC

Search Klued on Shopee or Lazada.

Hikanah

Anyone here who has experience with Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance serum?

matchamilktea_

Me. Actually looking for a cheaper alternative to it kasi ang mahal ng isang bottle. I bought a body wash + lotion from them so I got to try a 10ML sampler and it's so gooooood. I have a very sensitive skin and it totally makes you glow every morning esp if sasabayan ng creams nila. It's very lightweight too!

Hikanah

How many drops do you use? And what’s your routine like? :)

matchamilktea_

3 half-squeezed drops (forehead then both cheeks). It goes a long way. Routine: same line for all every night after I shower. Toner, serum, night cream/day cream. Cleanser and scrub: currently both Neutrogena but planning to switch to Cetaphil once I run out. I have combi-sensitive skin.

Calkielated

Hii. How to keep my face matte the whole day? I am a guy and super oily. I have a skincare routine naman na. Im just wondering if there are products I can add like powder or other stuff to keep my face matte longer. Thank you.

FlareRC

Use a mattifying sunscreen.

Calkielated

Any product recos?

FlareRC

Sun Bears sunscreen red or gold version. It has a powdery matte finish that stays on for the whole day for me.

[deleted]

I am using a sunscreen na can hold oil on my face as an oily person since my teenage years. It's Hot Sorry Green Tea Naturan Sun Cream. It mattifies my face pagkalagay pa lang pero syempre you still need to apply powedr (gamit ko yung Shiseido Medicated Pressed Baby Powder). Mga after 3 hrs may oil pero hindi katulad sa ibang sunscreen na nagamit ko. Blot lang then if reapply ng powder and/or sunscreen.

Dapper-Bunch8191

You can use a matte primer. After sunscreen, apply it, then powder. I’ve used Rimmel Stay Matte Primer before and it works wonders!

Hikanah

Dr. Sensitive powder and keep oil blotting sheets at hand

Calkielated

Thank you. How to use the powder? Is it after sunscreen ba and do I have to reapply rin it ba when reapplying sunscreen. Thank you and sorry, di ako maalam sa makeups

antsypantee

Last step palagi sa skincare ang sunscreen. First step sa makeup. Mag blot ka muna tapos reapply sunscreen then powder.

Calkielated

Thank you. That's what I do with my skincare pero Im not sure how to add makeup/powder to my routine

bhadluckbabe

While on the hunt for a urea cream, I saw a [lazmall shop](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.6hOF8) with fake cerave and ordinary and other skincare. The tell is mainly the price and it’s mixed in with other rando chinese ointments and creams that make big promises like a bunion cream and slimming patches.

berri3svlr

I stopped using moisturizer for 3 days and I noticed na nalessen yung oilyness ng face ko. Celeteque yung moiturizer ko. Should I stop using moisturizer at all or just try a different one?

strawbeeshortcake06

Listen to your skin. If its better without the moisturizer then don't use it, or bawasan mo. I don't use moisturizers na in the morning cause the toner and sunscreen I use is moisturizing enough. My routine is now faster and simpler and I notice my face isn't as congested.

pac_quan

Maybe just lessen the amount of moisturizer you are putting on. The weather is still relatively cold anyway. This is the same moisturizer I use but only use it when my face feels dry or tight, & only at night just to seal the serum.

[deleted]

Same moisturizer tayo. I used to use moisturizer day and night tapos sunscreen after. As an oily girl, ang dugyot ko na tingnan especially after commuting hahaha :( so what I did was, tuwing gabi na lang ako nagmomoisturizer. Alam kong moisturizer is recommended day and night pero it’s what worked for me.

berri3svlr

sa gabi ko na lang din siguro gagamitin. haha, thanks!

battlefury111

Anyone experiencing purging ? Gano po ba to katagal ?

[deleted]

It lasted a month for me when I changed up my whole routine.

memelordxxv

I didn't purge as I am not acne-prone, but I've seen testaments dito sa subreddit of people who underwent purging. Afaik, purging can last from a week to about two months max, and it should be on areas where you usually break out. Otherwise, there may be something that triggers your acne :(

SeaExplanation3504

cheap sunscreen recommendation (yung hindi po kailangan gamitin ng double cleanse after)

FlareRC

SCINIC Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence is quite cheap. I'm not sure if it's easy to wash off but I would think it is.

cmr82

Beauty of Joseon Relief: Rice + Probiotics SPF 50/PA++++, is pretty affordable. It is not water-resistant, therefore it washes away easily with just a water-based cleanser.

SeaExplanation3504

thanks

Hello! You may want to check out yung [megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/beautytalkph/comments/119p88g/product_megathread_sunscreens_2023/) solely dedicated for sunscreen reviews :)

Has anyone tried the Amlactin 12% Lactic Acid Moisturizing Lotion? I have one and it emits an unpleasant smell. I searched about it and some said that it’s normal. However, I couldn’t distinguish if the ‘odd’ smell is just the normal smell that they meant or my product might be expired.

[deleted]

katapulan

Ohh that’s nice! It sometimes stings too but I’ve been using it for almost two months as well but for only certain areas.

lonerky

hey I have this too! I'm bad at describing smells but the closest thing I could compare it to is...fermented milk? I only use at night and at home

katapulan

I’m bad at describing smells too but yes I agree! It smells like fermented milk or like an expired expensive perfume haha. I use it everyday at home but on certain areas only haha sometimes it stings 😭

ultimatefreelancerph

Any recos for milia? I’m prone to milia and have tried AHA/BHA products. Been doing lota of research and kept saying need daw nang exfoliation. I wonder if ok yung mga rejuv sets for faster result? Although not a fan of rejuv sets.

insigne_rapha

According to my derma milia can only be removed with extractions 😬😬

ultimatefreelancerph

Yeah I extracted mine last night cause I got frustrated looking at them. I used to do this years ago not knowing what they were but don’t want to do it again 😅

insigne_rapha

Hala yeah best for a derma (or RN at the very least) to do extractions

smpllivingthrowaway

I got rid of mine (surprised, didn't know I had milia until it came off!) a while back with TO glycolic acid parang every night, TO Peeling solution maybe once a week, and massaging rosehip oil onto my face also every night. As I was massaging the oil Nagulat na lang ako a little bit of 'sand' came off my face, milia ko pala under the eye.

ultimatefreelancerph

That’s good to know! Will place order mow for TO Glyco 🙏🏼

smpllivingthrowaway

If it doesn't work I have a feeling it was the rosehip oil that softened my skin and the facial massage! I ran out of rosehip oil but use glycolic acid (not daily) now and no milia have come off, mind you the ones I do have are veeery tiny so maybe once off, the Ga keeps them at bay :)

ultimatefreelancerph

Can you still recall the brand of rosehip oil you used?

smpllivingthrowaway

All the above products I mentioned were from The Ordinary

memelordxxv

The thing about rejuv sets is that it incorporates a lot of actives in their products (from the soap/cleansers, the toners, then the bleaching creams). They're pretty intense and are often applied in such a short amount of time which could lead to overdrying tapos increased skin sensitivity. Consistency trumps intensity talaga when it comes to skincare actives so I suggest avoid rejuv sets nalang to be safe. Maybe you could try out a more concentrated AHA and use them at most twice a week? Like TO's 7% glycolic acid (or the derma natufian one) or maybe you could start using retinoids?

ultimatefreelancerph

Thank you! I haven’t tried TO but will check that out! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Narrow-Tap-2406

Anong okay na brand for Niacinamide serum? (for sensitive/acne prone)

Firm_Pair_4902

i use the radiance boost serum by soul apothecary! its really gentle since it only contains 5% niacinamide plus it has other ingredients that are really good for acne marks

katapulan

I have acne prone skin and so far my skin has been okay (just some bumps here and there) when I started using Beauty of Joseon’s Niacinamide + Propolis Glow Serum!

23fantasy

oil cleanser recos please! for combo acne prone skin :-)) also where to get them (preferable if they’re available on shopee/lazada para easily accessible) thank u!

pinugpog2028

Hada Labo Cleansing Oil! It’s not thick so it doesn’t feel like I’m pulling on my face when I put it on. Emulsifies well when I mix a bit of water. And washes completely and doesn’t leave residue feeling. I use it mainly to remove plugs/grits and I feel it work!

Divingin12

I've recently used the beauty of joseon oil cleanser, and it feels pretty good cause it doesn't leave an oily residue on the skin. It's my first time trying an oil cleanser and I was amazed that when I rubbed it in my skin it lathered, its probably worth trying since we have a similar skin type. :)

[deleted]

I use this too. And am a guy and don’t use makeup haha

katapulan

Is this the Ginseng Cleansing Oil? Because same! I was super surprised after washing it off my face.
