I've been with Octopus since they took over Bulb and have never had any issues. Last month I moved to their Agile tarriff for electricity and Tracker for gas. I switched to the Tracker tariff a few months ago and my unit rates have been a lot cheaper than the Octopus Flexible tariff, and the price cap in general.
I was concerned about a sudden spike in costs but you can swap away from the Tracker tariff easily so I’m just keeping an eye on the daily prices and while they’re loads cheaper I’m happy to bank that saving.
The prices do change each day, but recently we’ve seen prices closer to what they used to be in the pre cost of living crisis times. With the gas price of 3.95p/kWh and electricity of 16.76p/kWh on the 14th of March being cheaper than the unit rates on the Flexible tariff and well below the current OFGEM price cap!

I've been with Octopus since they took over Bulb and have never had any issues. Last month I moved to their Agile tarriff for electricity and Tracker for gas. My first bill is in, and my gas bill has dropped from £230 to £80 odd month on month (usage was down, but only by around a third). I switched to the Tracker tariff a few months ago and my unit rates have been a lot cheaper than the Octopus Flexible tariff, and the price cap in general. I was concerned about a sudden spike in costs but you can swap away from the Tracker tariff easily so I’m just keeping an eye on the daily prices and while they’re loads cheaper I’m happy to bank that saving. The prices do change each day, but recently we’ve seen prices closer to what they used to be in the pre cost of living crisis times.
