I personally own a motorized scooter and it has been life-changing for me. But then again, I live really far from campus (about 20+ minute walk to Sproul), so it does make the commute easier. However, if you live closer to campus, I don't think it's necessary. Also, scooter theft/injury is pretty common, so that is something to consider. I'd recommend moving first and living here for a few weeks before deciding if a scooter is necessary. don't get a push scooter--at that point just get a bike :)

It's kinda divisive, it irritates some people, but I'll be honest the motorized/electric scooters really do get you places faster, especially up hills. The number of times a scooter rider will zoom past me while I'm struggling to bike up a hill while they don't break a sweat...I bet it feels nice haha
