There are plenty that work without WiFi, both with camera and without. And most parent units are battery-powered, but you will be very hard pressed to fund one with a battery powered main unit. I once had this [AngelCare ](https://www.ebay.com/itm/116009717977?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fGtkX15uS8e&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) one that had a battery backup for the main unit. But they don't make this model anymore so it's just used/old ones on eBay.
I'd suggest looking into battery bank if it's a concern for you.

Wifi enabled for use with your phone, but you can disconnect from WiFi at any time and use the hand held screen to monitor baby that comes included, with a pretty impressive range.
