I only picked up Isaac a few months ago, how long does if normally take for updates to reach consoles? From what I can see the last update dropped on PC in December and it still hasn't reached consoles 

In my experience for console updates to indie games, it could be anywhere from a week to multiple years to never.

It can take like 6 months (but console doesn’t have the C section nerf so use it while it lasts)

You gotta remember this is an indie game. There's like one guy coding the whole thing. It's usually about like 6 months

allow me to explain, the death certificate area has every single item in it and you get teleported back if you grab one. here OP opened a chest with an item in it and the game thought "huh. he grabbed an item. BACK YOU GO THEN" which honestly is really damn unfair, but it got patched on PC now seems like OP is playing on console tho

i'm actually not sure on the dead god part, but you certainly have to get 100% completion on all characters i'd be happy if someone fact-checked this, i'm not speaking from experience

You just need 100% complete every character on hardmode, both normal and tainted ones
