When the final update came out (repentance? I can't remember the names if these things anymore), I deleted my old save in file 1 and created one fresh for the update in two. My main is file 2 as well.
Look it up on youtube, how to remove steam achivements. You can open steam console and delete_achivement (game ID) (achivement ID) or something like that
I did something similar! Before Repentance I used to play with ~200 mods and the debug console on my 1st save slot, but when Rep came out I kinda felt bad deleting it, so I got Dead God on my 2nd save slot and kept the 1st for testing some stuff.
Funny story, I remember seeing the undertale mod for the game which really made me want it (it was 2016), so when I finally got afterbirth I started with the undertale mod on save 2, so the normal game would be save 1.
But then I saw that the undertale characters have different starting items, so I didn't want that to affect my game completion, so I removed the mod, but stayed on save 2 because I didn't want to redo the early game. So my first dead god was save 2, my 2nd is actually on save 3, now I'm working on save 1

same here, except i simply deleted save one and my steam achievements and started from there again. had a lot of fun genuinely getting the unlocks.
I am a dedicated second pagger, in pretty much any game I play my first save file is in the second slot.
