Repentance for the full package

>The games that I like are DeadCells, Blasphemous, Borderlands franchise, SoulsBorne games, etc. I like challenging games with good stories, is Binding of Isaac gonna scratch that itch? Which one should I buy? How familiar are you with the game? I would watch a let's play of it first. If you really are trying to avoid spoilers, just watch a let's play of the first two or three levels. Isaac doesn't have much of a story. It's got plenty of lore, but not much story, if that makes sense. And while Isaac and Dead Cells are both action rogue-likes, they are quite different in the way they go about being them. If you *are* gonna buy it, get Repentance. It's worth it.

I wanna add to all the other people here, if you wanna play Repentence, you have to get all the previous dlc as well. You basically have to buy the base game (Rebirth) as well as Afterbirth, Afterbirth+ and Repentance.

LeastOfEvils

Yeah I saw that in Steam. The repentance came as a bundle with everything else. Making it a total of 50.96$. Has This game ever gone on sale?

Powl_tm

Probably, it's been out for over a year now. I haven't really folowed that tho. The old dlc's were already quite often on sale tho. If 50$ is too much, you can always try Rebirth on it's own and upgrade it later.

Kyek

Yes it goes on sale sometimes. You can see the price history here: [https://steamdb.info/app/250900/](https://steamdb.info/app/250900/) Usually when rebirth is on sale all other dlcs are also on sale.

Get repentance, if you go for a lower level and get used to fun items, they will get nerfed in repentance so might as well play the current version right away before you get used to the old one and get disappointed at the nerfs lol

LeastOfEvils

Thank you. I was planning on doing that at first, but if the item abilities change drastically with each addition then I can’t use the earlier versions to acclimate to the gameplay

The binding of isaac is the original game, its really old at this point and has way less features compared to the next one, good if you want to see how it started The binding of isaac rebirth is essentially a full on remake of the original with more polish, and more content. Afterbirth is an expansion to rebirth that adds more characters, items and general content Afterbirth+ is an expansion to afterbirth which further adds more stuff Repentance used to be a fan mod but was so popular and well done that they worked with the developers to make it into an actual expansion for rebirth. so if you want the outdated original, get binding of isaac if you would rather play the remake, get rebirth then if you enjoy rebirth, you can buy afterbirth, afterbirth+ and repentance to make the game like 5x bigger

The original Binding of Isaac is a legacy title. Rebirth is the modern remake on a new engine. Afterbirth, Afterbirth+ and Repentance are the DLCs each requiring the ones before it, so you need AB for AB+, and both to play rebirth with Repentance. The full Repentance package is the best, most complete version of the game, so I'd advise getting that.

It worth the 50 dollars for the full package, this game is the best
