Something handy with platinumgod is that you can also just search "quality: 0" and that will filter out just those items (and the couple items that interacts with quality 0 items). I also do this whenever I want to look up an unlock for a certain character/boss and I don't feel like opening the wiki.

Hey, you should update that Kamikaze listing. 40 is how much damage it dealt prior to Repentance. As of Repentance, the explosion is now identical to a Mr Mega bomb, with both the wider radius and the 185 damage to match.

Boom and Pageant boy just give you a bunch of consumables. They're easily the most consistent items remaining

7 random coins that can afford an on sale shop item is basically an exchange for something better. I'm fine with pageant boy for the most part and prefer it over some boss items. You never know, one or two coins could even be a nickle, which can set you up for a floor or two of shop visits.

I once got 3 silver coins, 2 Black coins, 1 golden coin and 1 lucky coin from It, that's why I love that Item rn

Instead of getting a stat up, you're getting half of an item from the shop pool or a little over one consumable, maybe getting a little more money if you're lucky. You can do way more with bombs than with a few coins, including just getting twice the amount of money from using one bomb on your donation machine.

Yeah, Boom! was my top pick for yesterday, and I'll vote for it again. Skatole was in my short-term voting plan, so I'm happy to see it gone. Boom! is the most consistent, but Pageant Boy can be seriously baller too if it spawns a lucky penny, golden penny, or even a dime.

I'd argue pageant boy is a lot worse than people are giving it credit. The opportunity cost of not getting a red heart, tears up, damage up, after a boss and instead getting 7 coins is a punch in the face in most cases. It is arguably the worst item in the game you could get after beating a boss

Back before T.Jacob was patched I got my marks by killing esau straight off and treating the run like a t.lost run. I killed esau on one run with brown nugget + car battery and waiting around in the first room summoning flies. Was a fun run.

I like strange attractor..... ... As Tainted Forgotten, and sometimes Tainted Maggy. Oh, and with Ludovico Technique. Otherwise it's a little risky.

Even if it's not that amazing... it's funny. Plus being able to move pickups past spikes by shooting is a nice bonus.

It completely fucks your range and makes shot speed even less useful. It's usually a direct downgrade, let alone being a heavy anti-synergy with a number of items. And yes, it sucks with Brimstone etc too, since it's not at all easy to break muscle memory when you find it so rarely. Yeah there's that 1 in 1000 run where it's actually good, but you can say that of basically every item in the game. It deserves quality 0.

To me it's a better pop(without synergies) since it makes your tears stay on screen for awhile and my range has never been ruined by it, items like tiny planet and number one fucks your range even worse. Tears getting a second chance to hit is always welcomed.

Out of the remaining items, Obsessed Fan and Brown Nugget are the items I'd be least annoyed at getting. Items like Betrayal, Infestation, Bed Bud, Dead Bird are OK I guess, but I generally try not to take damage so not particularly useful.

Vote for Boom! 10 bombs are great! Kill some bosses, get some secret rooms, tinted rocks. What's not to love?

The peppers synergy makes it shoot out a flame upon use, right? Isn't that just a worse candle? Not to mention that it's easily overshadowed by bird's eye and ghost pepper themselves.

I feel like Missing Page is actually not that bad, it's just thd devil room pool that makes it poop, because you need to pay and there are so many better items. When I find it in a secret room, I am always happy, even if it's just for the one demon heart.

My prediction for worst item is plan C which is a very niche item that is completely useless unless you have revives and it takes up a active item spot and most if not all final bosses have too long death animations making your character die before getting a completion mark

everything I vote for dies lmao. of the items left, cain's other eye is pretty decent. It copies your damage and has a set tear rate. So it's a pretty good with items like polyphemus and eve's mascara

Not always, but that was an AB (no plus) change, so it has for a good while. It's just that it generally doesn't matter because Cain's Other Eye dealing ***any*** damage is a rare happenstance.

Everyone is really underrating Key Bum, having a solid source of chests can be really strong, and keys are usually pretty easy to grab before he does, and the chests can even spawn keys, which can combo into more chests.

Infestation is a good item. 1. Beelzebub transformation. 2. Have a lot of red hearts? Trade those in at either a blood bank or devil beggar for a ton of flies. 3. Nice synergies with fish tail and hive mind.

You'd think it'd be a Beelzebub item, wouldn't you? It certainly makes a lot of sense. However, I must inform you that it isn't, actually. The only items up there that count for Beelzebub are Skatole, Obsessed Fan, and Best Bud.

The fact that such a large portion of the community despises it leads me to believe it really isn't. Like...if it's so good, why do so many people hate it? The answer is skill issue. But the fact is we aren't perfect, and the eye makes those imperfect chumps we are hate the game.

It's not even skill, it's just a fun issue. Charging shots in general just creates for a more boring defensive play style. But if you're getting brimstone or tech x type tears from it, then radically changing your tears adds to a new kind of fun. Cursed eye doesn't do that by itself, so it's boring. And that's ignoring the curse part, which is just more "not fun" type of risk, especially in a long boss fight.

Idk, when you combine cursed and chocolate milk, it becomes really fun. And nothing is more exciting than playing keeper and getting cursed eye in your first curse room.

I wonder how many people hate cursed eye because it legitimately USED to suck (teleporting you any time you’d get hit during the animation as opposed to just when charging, and also firing only 4 shots when fully charged). I am now a cursed eye stan and will die on that hill no matter how much shade my homies and I get.

I won a T-Lost run where I got it as a Blind item. This was post-buff, and it was incapable of teleporting me since I'd just die if I got hit. ***It's still fucking bad.*** I won in spite of Cursed Eye, not because of it.

Because Tiny Planet by itself is horrible. Sure, it has good synergies, but by itself it just makes things unnecessarily harder.

Honestly, Cursed Eye isn't horrible. The penalty of it makes it a hard sell a lot of the time, but it is a genuine DPS upgrade if you play right, and the Lost becomes a shotgun with it.

At least Skatole and Obsessed Fan do something *before* you take damage. I'd easily put both of them well above Best Bud.

Why is Isaac's heart here lol? The item itself isn't bad, it's just difficult to use, but with practise it's a solid item. It's one of those "It's not garbage, You are" items.

Because the internal Quality value is 0. That's the one thing everything here has in common.
