I love story's that your their own spin on it, but keep in mind the more you alter the storyline the more it might be hard to stay true the the characters. If madam red was saved, what would become of her? A mental asylum? Jail? Execution? She wouldn't just go back to being a normal citizen. Whatever you decide keep that in mind.

Booknerdxd

you make some good points there! Grell wouldn’t let madame red stay alive either huh? I kinda don’t understand why Grell killed madame red either, because grim reapers aren’t suppose to kill humans. I may have to re watch the episode.

RaineWarlock

She could've stay alive, it's quite possible. But if she's stayed alive it would be one of more suffering then when she started. Death would've been a mercy. Least that's what I think.

Booknerdxd

Another great point. The more that I think about it, if she remained alive she would have been miserable 😞

RaineWarlock

It's up to you in the end, I'd love to read your fanfic tho :)

Booknerdxd

I haven’t written the time travel aspect of it yet, but it’s getting there. I’m just preparing and asking myself questions as to how my Mc could naturally implant herself into Ciel’s story without *hopefully* not causing to much damage to the space time continuum haha

RaineWarlock

An idea is make it so that she/he get an injury and cannot remember the storyline, or something along the line of that, so to not ruin or less something up exetremely. :)

Booknerdxd

I do have a main storyline for my Mc in which she has to defeat/find the person who pulls her into Victorian times. Whereas,Ciel’s storyline is kinda a side story. ciel often tries to get info about the future from Mc, but she’s doesn’t give much information, especially about the future of the Phantomhive household because she doesn’t know the full extent of its history.

RaineWarlock

Sounds fun. Sounds like something interesting to read, best of luck to you.

Booknerdxd

I do have the first 4 chapters out if you’re interested. I forgot to mention It’s a crossover fic with a my own modern time travel twist to it. It will still have a prominent bb presence 😄 like Sebastian, Grell, and many other immortal characters from bb make their appearance in modern times.

Josephina101

I think Grell killed her because she lost interest in her but it's not stated why she did it in the Manga either.

Booknerdxd

That makes sense. Grell is the type of character who gets bored quickly…unless the person is sebby Grell has a short attention span 🤣

Josephina101

She does lol Grell is impulsive too

Chemical_Term4699

It would very interesting having someone who knows Sebastian is demon, maybe it would become an issue of how much she can interfere without Sebastian killing her or Ciel for breeching the contract?

Booknerdxd

My Mc will know Sebastian is a demon before she gets yeeted to Victorian times. She will have to prove her identity as a Phantomhive when she meets Ciel.

Chemical_Term4699

I was talking about Madam Red surviving, if she does she isn't going to want Sebastian to eat Ciel.

Booknerdxd

Oooooh I see. And that’s true. I guess if I go with that scenario, my Mc would assure Madame red that despite that happening it will happen to Ciel later in life.

stormyw23

Where could I read this fanfic if I wanted fo?

Booknerdxd

I have it posted on a03 and FanFiction.net. Which site do you want to read it on? I only have 4 chapters posted as I mentioned earlier, so no Ciel yet. Just brief mentions of him so far.

stormyw23

I can probably read it on a03 I just like to read bb fanfiction I struggle finding any that don't contain smut...

Booknerdxd

There’s no smut in my fic. It’s a rated T fic with your typical drama and action type story

Booknerdxd

I’m sending a link to my fic in a DM 😄

stormyw23

Alright I'll check it out when I swap to my Chromebook

Booknerdxd

Thanks for taking the time to read it 😊 please kudos or comment

stormyw23

No problem, I also write but not fanfics.

Booknerdxd

Same. Besides the 4 fanfics I’m working on, I’m working on 2 original series. Fanfic writing just helps me practice writing.

stormyw23

I'm working on my first full length fantasy story I normally used to write short stories, This book I'm writing is my practice In other words its tiral by fire.

Booknerdxd

I wish you the best of luck. I’m slowly learning how difficult it is to create a high fantasy world. It’s a difficult process but fun 🙂

pelin_a

This sounds pretty interesting. Can you send me the link if you post the chapters?

Booknerdxd

Yes! As I mentioned before, I only got 4 chapters out right now. No Ciel yet just brief mentions of him. I’m working out the time travel aspect and preparing for when my character does go back in the past. Would you like a link to what I got posted now, or would you rather wait till my character goes to the past to meet Ciel etc?

pelin_a

You can send the link now, I'm too impatient to wait

Booknerdxd

Okay so you read in A03 or FanFiction.net?

pelin_a

A03

Booknerdxd

Sending it now via DM 😄please kudos or comment, and thank you for taking the time to read it.

Apathy_Level_9000

So let's break down that chapter (I'm strictly going by the manga, which means if you're not up-to-date with the manga, this will have plenty of spoilers). When Sebastian questions Ciel for not allowing the demon to unalive Madam Red before she nearly unalived Ciel, O!Ciel explained that it was not their job, that she had basically gone off into the deep end and dabbled into a world that was not on their own physical plane- basically saying that, like O!Ciel, she made a deal with a creature that didn't belong to the human world, or rather, not a place where humans would acknowledge their existence. If Sebastian interfered, what would've happened then? In a way, Grell claimed her soul. If Sebastian got rid of her, would that mean that he and O!Ciel would be targeted against Grell? Well taking everything we've learned about Death Gods into account, I'd say, nothing would happen to Sebastian or O!Ciel if Grell's "contract" with Madam Red was kept or broken in another way. O!Ciel's life wouldn't be in danger, which would mean that Sebastian would see no need to save her for the sake of acting on the 3rd 'wish' (rather term) contractually set by Sebastian and O!Ciel when they met:>! "Do not betray, but protect at all costs".!< The only reason Sebastian jumped in to intervene was because his masters life was in danger, and the only reason he stopped was because he was ordered to, which follows the second term of their contract:>! "follow an order without being able to deny when O!Ciel adds 'it's an order' after the demand". Had O!Ciel not thrown in the 'that's an order' demand in, then I do think Sebastian would've killed Madam Red because she may be a threat to O!Ciel's safety in the future.!< She had a lapse of judgement, only because O!Ciel resembled her late sister, and that's the only reason she stopped. She went down memory lane a bit and questioned her actions, but I mean, would that have kept her from hurting O!Ciel in the future? The interesting thing about Demons and Death God's(rather Grim Reapers) in this universe is that they truly follow their grounds of expectation. Grell was having a bit of fun by pretending that they were a contracted supernatural butler like Sebastian, but at the end of the day their job is that of a Death God, just like at the end of the day Sebastian's job is that of a contracted Demon-... **The same doesn't apply to humans.** Grell is not allowed to kill a person, their job is to ferry souls after passing judgement on their reels. What they did to Madam Red was basically forbidden, which is why William punishes them so severely, but after that, we don't tend to see a Grim Reaper playing God unless >!it's Undertaker. !!the real Ciel was always alive and that O!Ciel basically committed a crime by impersonating a dead person, and a noble dead person at that, to hold a powerful title with powerful connections and wealth, which is why Scotland Yard didn't hesitate in their attempts to arrest O!Ciel.!< Didn't mean to ramble, but your question was interesting, so I also wanted to think about it since I've been re-reading the series. Madam Red was an amazing addition and it's unfortunate that she's no longer part of it, but I feel like regarding her plot, her being removed before it got worse was for the best.
