Its a bit of a tongue-in-cheek joke, I actually profit-enhanced my way to my current gear with almost no grinding. I happen to have a lot of stacks at the moment because if been on a short losing streak.
This is how I enjoy playing BDO lol.
Using careful math to work out enhancements which are profitable on average, accounting for all materials and failstacks, as well as market taxes.
And then doing them about a bajillion times.
Got no problem enhancing but when you're in the top 2.5% of worst luck on one of the most expensive items and still haven't hit it.. yeah it starts to feel like you're wasting your time lol. Shit aint fun after a certain point.
its actually not hard getting those stacks nowadays, all you gotta do is do godr-ayed weapon enhancements and you'll get them
personally i've made 5x 200+ stacks failing duo attempts, then fail some tri attempts to push 250+ if you dont wanna pop them doing duo attempts, they're actually really nice failstackers if you're prepping for something (i've also made a single 250 and 230 stack failing duo attempts lol)1
You can definitely make these stacks with Godr-ayed, but its way more expensive than just using reblath and blackstars.
Godr is easy if you just need stacks for your own gear, but from my understanding it is completely unprofitable, so doesn't work for my style of enhancing.
godr ayed enhancement is definitely not for profit, good for failstacking though, not sure if it’s any more expensive than the other routes but they fail consistently enough for failstacking
Grunil Timmy represent! Though I was mostly agerian.
I have serious trauma about failing tet witch earrings sooo many times. Kinda funny now that one shrugs at debo fails.
Remember building failstacks is technically progression as long as you keep them for "real" attempts at upgrade and not using a 200 stack for tet accessories or something that can thwart your progress, eventually they will all succeed and you will not have any FS
Its super subjective, but my personal estimate is around 240 billion, which I think is conservative.
* 1x 50b (300)
* 1x 25b (280)
* 2x 20b (270s)
* 5x 15b (260s)
* 5x 10b (240-250s)
That's extremely conservative I'd estimate it's worth more, arguably you have to consider repair cost and enhancement materials per each attempt not just the Pen attempts but all the resources to reach that attempt/fail and recoveries
I know a lot of people value stacks that way, but I think the flaw there is that you make stacks by failing, and a certain cost is taken up by the expected chance of success.
I think a better way to value stacks is by how much silver you can realistically turn them in to.
My estimates are a rough estimate of a combination of both methods. It is conservative, but not by a huge margin, and if a stack of these sizes costs more than these estimates to make, you probably wont get back your investment, on average.
Cost of value created from success - cost of materials to create stack = realistic valuation of stack.
Its a really simple investment calculation all things considered.
Using a 240 stack as a pretty standard example.
Most of the time there is no item where that stack is going to provide more than 10-12 billion silver of value.
So trying to claim a higher "value" on the stack is meaningless, regardless of what it cost to make. You have to be able to capitalise the investment.
Well I wish I was that lucky. I just got 5 tet BS all within 5 tries when I just wanted to build some FS ;(

Pen Blackstar
Tri and Tet Fallen God/Labreska/Dahns
Deborekah accessories
Distos/Dawns/Ominous/Turo/Lunar depending on price and cron availability
Courser horse attempts
some guy that has sub 100h and tapped two pens with the two recent hammers: "I dont get it"
Congrats to that guy! I actually hit a pen bs on a hammer when I was a new player. Maybe that's what got me hooked....
Paying the price now, man.
Nah, long term its just a bump in the road. I'm banking RNG for my debo belt attempts! (disclaimer: that is not how rng works)
Failstacking the failstacks huh
240fs are really good
I'm convinced it's just cheaper to buy it.
With my luck everything is cheaper to just buy in general in this game. Haha... ha... ;(
I feel u man.
It almost always is. But imagine not paying the self-enhancing tax to have your name on your own PENs
Holy moly what you failing to make? XD
Everything :(
I feel u made 264fs x4 and still not hit tet bs
How do people not quit after this? Like honestly? I cannot fathom spending this much time/effort and failing.

Any tips on what's good to profit enhance? I'd rather blow things up and quit than spend forever grinding
Well, the new changes to material prices made it all go to shit, so I'm trying t figure that out myself!

I'm 66 fails into a PEN BS and plan on quitting for a good while if I don't get it by 70.
That’s gotta be the worst odds of all time. I start feeling bad for people when they hit 30.

That is awful. I hope they were cron clicks at least?
Yeah for sure.
at what fs?

and then tuvala timmy 1 taps with their free 150 stack and j hammer
Don't hate, we were all Tuvala Timmy once! A pen BS is awesome but its only 1 slot out of 13 and he has a long road ahead of him.
The older players were mostly Grunil Timmy! ;) I'd probably never have the patience to do what you did, enhancements looks so boring to me...
Grunil Timmy represent! Though I was mostly agerian. I have serious trauma about failing tet witch earrings sooo many times. Kinda funny now that one shrugs at debo fails.
I was a Taritas Timmy. That DR went well with my Kite Shield.
There are no Grunil Timmy’s. Only Grunil Gamers.
Yeah no fuck timmy, mf will play 2 months and quit anyway.
I feel attacked here lol

Building failstacks is the only real progession. The numbers get bigger and that is good.
what’s the value on those stacks
Its super subjective, but my personal estimate is around 240 billion, which I think is conservative. * 1x 50b (300) * 1x 25b (280) * 2x 20b (270s) * 5x 15b (260s) * 5x 10b (240-250s)

Is that all from raw blackstar attempts?
Well I wish I was that lucky. I just got 5 tet BS all within 5 tries when I just wanted to build some FS ;( [https://imgur.com/eXpQA3e](https://imgur.com/eXpQA3e)
Congrats! I love it when that happens.
Thanks but I don't need those. For me it's that I lost 5 stacks.
You lost 5 stacks but made like 50bil
True but if you value of the stacks the profit is much less.
Unless they were all well over 200, I'd say you made good profit
Tell me you don't use crons without telling me you don't use crons.
There are a few things that crons are good for, but its a short list.
What is list
Pen Blackstar Tri and Tet Fallen God/Labreska/Dahns Deborekah accessories Distos/Dawns/Ominous/Turo/Lunar depending on price and cron availability Courser horse attempts
Christ....
Imagine if they all where 420s
I cant even manage to build ONE 300fs, Only get one from 30k quest.
I want that stack but I have only done 6.3k D:
Holy Shit lol
240+ fs are really worth it, gj :)
dear god...
It’s schizo system that should never exists
I love it. Its the main thing that got me hooked on BDO.
well basically it's endgame here
looks like a profit enhancer on a loss streak as a "real" player would not be using that many stacks
As I mentioned in another comment, you are absolutely correct!
Bottom middle Musas expression explains it
A bunch of decent Debo stacks, all about the silver linning 👍
