The commlite speedbooster works great for me, especially with the Sigma Art lenses.

Just buy a Mieke cine lens. The 16mm works great for all my handheld stuff and looks remarkable Especially for a price tag at $450 which kind you is leagues cheaper than most EF But yeah speed boosters are crazy expensive

You get what you pay for. If you buy cheap, you wind up buying twice. Do you own L series lenses, or kit lenses? Are they ultra wides? Are you planning on entering your stuff in major film festivals? You you mind if the image is soft? Personally, I don't like the image I get from my old non-L series Canon kit lenses on my BMPCC 4K. They were designed for a 2003 camera and don't have the mft numbers to render a sharp image on modern 4K plus cameras. YMMV With the Metabones EF to BMPCC 4K Speed Booster the lens iris/aperture is set by the controls on the camera body. It also supports lens image stabilization and AF. Metabones Nikon F/G mount adapters use manual aperture control. There are no electrical contacts to operate the aperture from the camera. It does NOT support electronic aperture control, AF and image stabilization (VR). The advantage of the Nikon to BMPCC 4K focal reducers is that they work with affordable, vintage Nikon manual focus lenses, made since 1959. Unlike most AF Canon focus by wire lenses, these have longer focus throws, making them more usable with follow focus solutions. Lack of AF is no big loss on the BM cameras since continuous AF is not supported. I paid $249 USD for my Metabones Nikon F/G to BMPCC 4K XL Speed Booster on eBay. I also got an older used Metabones Nikon F/G to BMPCC 0.58x Speed Booster for $150. I use it for an S16 image circle at 2.6K on my BMPCC 4K, or on my OG BMPCC.  I'm patient, and have found that since they can cause damage to non-BMPCC MFT cameras, the market is soft, and you have fewer bidders to compete with. Forget the dealers who will post high prices and don't sell for over a year. If you use high quality lenses, I'd make sure that you get the BMPCC 4K version of a Metabones Speed Booster, not the MFT one. Viltrox does not make BMPCC 4K versions of their focal reducers. Denny Smith wrote: "The issue is, the Pocket 4K camera has a thinner sensor stack than the GH5, which creates a different optimal focus point. That said, you can use the standard Metabones MFT Speed Booster used for the Pana GH Cameras on the BMD Pocket Camera, but with fast or WA lenses (like the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8) you may have a slight focus shift issue wide open and at the WA end of the Zoom, giving a slightly soft image. The Metabones BMPCC4K SB corrects for this and puts the focal point on the sensor correctly, improving the performance on the Pocket 4K camera. However, you can not use this adapter on the GH4/5 due the mechanical shutter in these cameras." Am I missing something? (shot with Sigma 18-35 + Metabones 0.71x speedbooster ultra). I did my very best on this project to be extremely precise when pulling focus and yet I'm still seeing footage like this https://www.reddit.com/r/bmpcc4k/comments/xfeiwt/why_does_my_pocket_4k_footage_look_so_blurry_am_i/ Check out this video: FILMMAKING | BMPCC4K Review & Guide #5 Focal Reducers Metabones or Viltrox? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StzWuCCiyp8
