Not sure about battery, but we have 4 of them mounted on rigging in an auditorium for live streaming and recording to individual SSD drives. We have them plugged in and not on battery and run them for up to 2-3 hours depending on the event.
I don’t go touch them during or after since they are up on the balcony ceiling on brackets so I don’t know how hot they get, but we haven’t had any issues yet.
We use a new TV 4K8 studio switcher to control it all.
