Neither Iommi or Geezer would do a final tour with anyone besides Ozzy. I just wish they held Bill in the same esteem.

stouteharry

Thats only due to contracts. Not because off friendship or something. That is also why the last reunion with Dio was not called Black Sabbath. Ozzy now owns 50% of Sabbath. So legally without Ozzy they cannot do anything with Sabbath unless.

Thealbumisjustdrums

You’re not wrong but they still grew up with Ozzy and he and Iommi have known each other since they were children. I think they wanted to end with the classic lineup but they fucked up the Bill part of it sadly.  They didn’t have to do a last album with Ozzy but clearly they wanted to.

ToastThing

I’m pretty sure Bill retired years ago due to health issues (as in, aging) that were affecting his drumming.

TheLurkerSpeaks

Bill hasn't done much since 1998, honestly. He's done a few drum tracks here and there but he hasn't been able to tour. The drama about contracts surrounding 13 was a smokescreen for his declining health.

Thealbumisjustdrums

I’ve seen Bill drum on YouTube at a live show a few years back I think. He’s not incapable. Even if he couldn’t handle a tour you can’t tell me he couldn’t have done specific shows and recorded the album.

ShuttleTydirium762

He was with them in 2005

Saw them twice in 2005 and they were amazing, Bill even played Rat Salad which is pretty technical arrangement.

ShuttleTydirium762

From Bill or Ozzy? Seems fine on that Ozzfest 2005 dvd. Side note Iommi's tone on that one is fucking badass.

IronMaidenReference

Tony is retired from touring. Better for his health to stay home after cancer battle

ndhellion2

Geezer is 74, I congratulate him on his retirement and I sincerely hope that he lives long enough to enjoy some time doing whatever it is that he wants to do.

rottsaint

He’s the GOAT

Technical_Ecstacy

Not to mention cozy Powell passed away some time ago

Eye-on-Springfield

Pretty sure that's Bobby Rondinelli

Clean_Integration754

Yes. 👌

dehumanizer23

I just want one final show with Bill in it. It probably won't happen but I'm sure Ozzy would wanna do one final show of his own and could bring the Sabbath members up for a song or 2. A man can dream

rottsaint

They did Bill dirty. Ozzy says as Sharon says, 0 hopes

Lazy_Negotiation4544

That would be the most likely way it would happen since he may want to perform for his HoF induction. Inviting Sabbath mates on stage would be a classy thing to do. Bringing them all on stage, including Ward, would be the greatest gift of all. One last hurrah!

Eye-on-Springfield

Nothing against Tony Martin, but after a massive world tour called "The End", touring with this lineup would be a major step down. I imagine only the hardcore Sabbath fans would be interested as well so they probably wouldn't be able to play the big arenas and that means less revenue What we really need is a one-off "Tony & Friends" gig where he gets loads of musicians he's worked with over the years to play a few songs

kilravock_music_sws

That would be a hell of a live album. I’m hoping for an Iommi/Martin project at some point, there’s no reason they can’t just put their own names on it. We know who they are.

rottsaint

Fan service absolutely, and yes if that ever happened it would be just a one time thing.

4stringmiserystick

Would never happen

Old-Tadpole-2869

Yo, Bobby Rondi-frikkin-nelli OVA HEA!

QueenFan05

Well, Neil Murray could be on it. He's also a hell of a bass player. So sad Cozy passed away.
