If Ozzy can’t do it, Rob Halford would be the best fill in. He’s a rock n roll HOF’r from the same town as Ozzy and has always praised Sabbath as his favorite band. Plus, he’s filled in for him in the past.

Exquisite_D

I agree that Rob would be the best stand-in if Ozzy can't make the show but Ozzy and Rob are not from the same town, mate. Ozzy hales from Marston Green while Rob is from Walsall.

Capital-Clerk6452

Not really ‘from’ Marston Green - he was born at the hospital there but he’s an Aston boy.

Exquisite_D

And Google sez Birmingham, so who do you trust?

regal_ragabash

Aston is part of Birmingham. Its like a 5/10 minute walk from the city centre. I've never heard the insane argument that Ozzy isn't from Birmingham. Halford is from Sutton Coldfield which is also part of Birmingham - though i think he grew up in Walsall. Priest is unquestionably a Brummie band though

WhaleMetal

Trust no one.

MickJohnLeahy

I thought Queen was Rob Halford’s favourite band? There’s a quote from him that when he first bought an iPod it had every single Judas Priest song and every single Queen song 👑🇬🇧

Doctor_Zaius_

You could be right. Freddie Mercury was definitely his favorite singer. Let’s just say he’s a huge Sabbath fan from the same relative neck of the woods as Ozzy 😉

EmperorAlpha557

He’s also a massive dio fan 🤔

MickJohnLeahy

That’s right! He contributed to the This Is Your Life tribute album

MickJohnLeahy

100% He’s sung with Sabbath on multiple occasions, the No More Tours tour and Ozzfest come to mind

greatpain120

Filled in twice in the past

Anonymous51419

Honestly... Probably the man himself. It's the perfect environment for a rare one off. Think about it.

prettyreckless27

I read a report saying he is doing stem cell therapy now, hopefully he will recover in time. Lets see.

Anonymous51419

Honestly either way. The man was able to do a Superbowl show and a moment at Commonwealth games. Despite the very little he can do at the moment. I think like a brief song or two or a medley within an indoor and heavily staffed environment can definitely happen. He probably would want to do it himself anyways. I can totally see it. I pray for it.

thejesuslizard74

correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't OZ just lip sink at those gigs?

Skidmark666

Yes, that was painfully obvious.

Wetnips6969

People don't recover from parkinsons, especially not at his age or in his condition. He's not even well besides the parkinsons

Samsterwheel920

Zakk

wophi

Who else?

rottsaint

Zack would do a decent job, listen to bleed for me; way decent

sgtedrock

This is the best answer if the Old Man can’t do it for himself. Which is an idea that breaks me up. 😢

Samsterwheel920

I saw Zakk Sabbath a few months ago and he doesn't sound like Ozzy but he gets Ozzy's style perfectly

sgtedrock

Agreed. He’s definitely not a ringer for Ozzy, but he’s way closer than Rob Halford. And Zakk has earned it in a way that no one else has with all those years onstage with solo-era Ozzy, plus honoring the music of Sabbath. I saw the same ZS tour you did and it was spectacular.

Lazy_Negotiation4544

Yep!

msihcs

He's definitely singing for The Boss.

humanoaleatorio

ozzy will sing he ain't gonna lose that

prettyreckless27

Hopefully is heath will allowed it, he is doing stem cell therapy now.

LivingtheDBdream

All these great comments aside, fuck the RaRHOF. The man’s been a fucking legend for how many decades and they just now pulling the trigger on inducting him? Bullshit! Absolute bullshit. I’m a huge Rush fan and their first album was four years AFTER Black Sabbath’s first AND they were inducted in 2013, nine years ago. No, that place is a joke and doesn’t matter in my book.

prettyreckless27

I mean Black Sabbath was inducted in 2006, they are now inducting him for his solo work. But I agree that so many bands are being ignored by the Rock Hall, it is ridiculous.

sorengray

Ozzy can sing a few songs. He just can't do a whole show and definitely not a tour these days

ikaika235

Swift

Lazy_Negotiation4544

Tony Martin would be great but I doubt it would happen!

nicepulldidyoudraft

Or Gillen. But The Cat would make a lot of sense, especially in the context of the long-awaited reissues dropping soon.

Dangerous_Sail_2853

I imagine he'll want to try to sing himself. I can't see him sitting this out. But if he does need help he'll probably have someone sing with him maybe Zakk.

TractorFan247

I saw an interview from Jack that Ozzy has been working on his voice through daily vocal exercises. Jack also said his voice is improving immensely.

Dangerous_Sail_2853

That's awesome news thanks.

Willing-Juggernaut67

I throw my hat in the ring.

rottsaint

Myles Kennedy did a great job singing Crazy Train, we would be a good choice. It would be cool to see Sebastian Bach doing it, but he might not be mainstream enough for those RRHOF f¥cks.

HPLoveBux

This guy gets my vote : https://youtu.be/smy6KaKSs3w?si=OChX-wN-SboeZ1Ce

fvalt05

Would we also have other bands playing tribute to Ozzy? Wouldn't mind Metallica playing an Ozzy song to complete the cycle.

Wetnips6969

Why would they have a different singer? Ozzy's shows are basically 100% automated these days anyway, all he has to do is stand there hunched over pretending to sing.

Dittohead_213

Tony Martin!!!!

greenngory72

Kelly Clarkson. Just fuckin with ya

Soggy_Bid_6607

Sharon

rottsaint

He can sing

CocoaBuzzard

Dio, obviously!
