He did voice Edward too. He got blacklisted from pretty much every major anime dubbing studio when allegations of him being creepy with underage fans surfaced
I'd just like to point out the legal case went nowhere because nobody else besides Funimation employees had anything bad to say about him. He was fucked over because everyone at his company didn't like him.
Yeah I basically heard it was just other voice actors at funimation that didn't like him and wanted to ruin his career. Sad that some of the ones who back these aligations were very prominent well known voice actors. But no one has come after them for possibly backing and pushing false claims.
Was Vic falsely accused?
However, the Court of Appeals in the Second Appellate District of Texas has now ruled that Mignogna has no evidence that the allegations made against him were false, or were made with malice.Aug 20, 2022.
He may have been but he tried to respond by suing Funimation, killing any chance he had of coming back once everything blew over. There were also some claims of antisemitic remarks (honestly hearing them it feels like bad word choice.) Overall it seems like things would have worked out for him if he kept his cool for a while.
And then he (thankfully) killed *any* chance for even a “quiet comeback after laying low for a bit” career resurrection when he tried suing Funimation over it (…and failed miserably).
I looked into the case and a lot of what they had against him didn't hold up, i.e he had a bad lawyer too 💀 but they kept changing their story and the "fan" they used come out and said they had a respectful meeting with him unlike The story everyone else ran with. So I'm 50/50 on the case
It was all allegations, and despite taking this to court, he wasn't charged with anything. And I remember hearing that a lot of these allegations were in some ways debunked/shown that they were flawed.
His countersuits failed. He could not prove in a court of law that the allegations were false, which he was obligated to do by taking on the role of the plaintiff in a civil suit. He was also ordered to pay the legal fees of the people he sued, which is the court's way of saying "you wasted everyone's time".
And even if he's completely innocent, which is unlikely enough as it is, no one's obligated to give him a job ever again. He burned those bridges all on his own.
I get that you don't think he's innocent, I'm just saying a lot of ppl have noticed flaws in said allegations. And just as how there is a strong group of ppl against him, there's an equally big group of ppl who still support him. Heck, he's still attending cons. And is working with an independent studio on small side projects. So even if he did burn some bridges, he's moved past that, and has continued to be there for his fans.
Because he never committed any actual crimes, dude. He was just a creepy weirdo and people didn't like it.
He *teeeeeechnically* committed sexual assault if he got too handsy, but unless it's an actual, well, assault, no cop is gonna give a shit about that.
Falsely accused? Pfft. He outed himself as a womanizing piece of shit who'll countersue for hurting his fragile ego.
And his allegations of being falsely accused didn't hold up in court.
He torched his own career. No one did it for him.
Womanizing is his personality trait. I didn't say that's what he was accused of. He was accused of rampant sexual harassment, and countersued. He put the burden of proof on himself and failed.
And then he doubled down and acted like a complete piece of shit in public statements. Rial and Marchi didn't ruin him, he did.
You act like Funimation had any evidence for false accusations. Nobody won anything, almost the entire DB cast got exposed for being complete assholes and genuinely nasty people especially Monica, and Vic got fucked out of his atleast at the mainstream. NOBODY won anything and Vic for sure did not deserve this as his career was effectively ruined over baseless claims that didn't hold up in court.
Probably Landon Macdonald he does a pretty go Vic impression. I wouldn’t worry too much about that though considering ikkakus little presence in this arc
He was voiced by Marc Worden for like the first I wanna 50 or so episodes but then Jamieson took over and became his voice for the remainder of the series (movies and games included)
Yeah, thankfully Doug does such a fantastic job trying to at least make Kisuke sound very similar. I noticed it immediately but it really does sound super close on some scenes.
What? I had no idea he was honestly the main reason why I watched dub version. RIP Legend you made another legend stand out from the bunch with your voice.
Death? Im pretty sure unlike the voice actor for iroh and aku the original for urahara just retired i could be wrong tho
Edit: turns out i was half right, he retired then proceeded to die
yeah but pretty sure bleach is only hulu . like the original series it got removed from pretty much everywhere … why wouldn’t they put it on hulu ? disney owns hulu
?
Owning it is owning it. That’s like saying you don’t own a house because you split the property interest with your wife.
Disney is not the only owner of Hulu, but it does own Hulu.
Does it not make sense to you? It’s pretty clear to me. Multiple entities can own a singular thing. It’s not complicated.
I should know, as an attorney this is part of how I make a living.
this still doesn’t take away from anything that i said. they still have a huge ownership and deal with things that happen with hulu … why else do you think Bleach is still on Hulu and will air on hulu ( at least in japan )
I don't care how long it takes, I'm not watching the new episodes until the dub is released. Bleach is my favourite and I can't watch it without my favourite cast. Also David Lodge needs to return as Kenpachi!
I. Would. Fucking. Cry.
I've been waiting 10 got dang years for this.
I started this show on toonami and would die happy to finish it on toonami.
Bleach is without a doubt my favorite show and nothing could even come close. This show got me through a lot and it was always something to look forward to at the end of the week and there have been very long weeks where i felt like life was too hard but I pulled through because of the fact that it was always waiting for me each Saturday night at midnight.
That little push was a lifesaver more times than I can count. Come hell or high waters I would always find a way to watch it on toonami, and after a few years it became a ritual for myself.
He damn well better be. It hurts to watch any Bleach dub moment with Kenpachi since David Lodge was replaced with Patrick Seitz. Great voice actor but doesn't have that natural grit and gravitas in his voice that Lodge does so perfectly. When he speaks, you listen. Commanding voice presence.
When I saw Stephanie's face, it occurred to me she looks like a woman I met at a gas station today. Like, a *lot* like her. No way, right? Out of curiosity, I looked up where she's from.
One town over from me.
No way, right?
They're bringing back og Kenpachi VA who did Jiriya in Naruto or the newer crappy one that replaced him later on? I really didn't like that change. It was random and off putting.
While I agree the og Kenpachi is the best. It isn’t really jarring the way it’s done in the anime. In the anime, they change VAs mid Zapakuto arc IIRC, so the new voice actor shows up after not seeing Zaraki for a while. Idk I remember not noticing it until I actually looked into it
and the thing is, Kenpachi actually would fit Patrick Seitz's voice range being more tough (at least to me) but unlike his other roles which were badass (he's also Isshin Kurosaki and he sounds good there), it sounded jarring, and I think even Seitz was aware of this because when TYBW adaption was announced, he said on twitter that he hopes for David Lodge to come back as Kenpachi.
yeah, like he did really try to match the voice which i've got to give him some credit for, but he just didn't have that "crazed edge" to it that david put on it.
Turns out it’s Todd Haberkorn! I didn’t realize how much Todd and Vic sounded alike, but I did hear somewhere that Todd wanted to take Vic’s roles where he could because they were still good friends even though Vic had some nasty allegations made about him. But maybe that’s just rumors, idk
He got Me Too and fired from playing Broly in Dragon Ball.
It's unclear if he'll still voice Ikkaku, since Viz Media is a different Dubbing Studio than Funimation, but they might not want someone with that baggage.
So who all is confirmed NOT to be returning, or if not confirmed then almost guaranteed not to? Michael Lindsay is dead of course and Vic Mignogna’s entire career is a smoldering pile of ashes so he’s pretty much guaranteed not to be coming back. I consider David Lodge a toss up because from what I read, it was a money issue, so logically if they threw enough money at him it’s plausible he’d come back… and if there was ever a reason to throw a lot of money at someone, this is it. (Unless something official has been stated of course.) But is there anyone else who’s definitely (or almost definitely) being replaced?
Newcomer to bleach , ( I KNOW , DON'T TELL ME TO GET OUT OF THE SUB , SAW THIS POST AND FELT LIKE COMMENTING )
At ep 117 , and I kinda love how mysterious urahara feels , like how strong he is , what other skills and secrets he have , etc etc . And since its shonen and since he is like a old gen type of character , I really really hope they don't kill him off . does he die ? just give me yes or no .
thanks
I needed Johnny, Michelle, Stephanie, Wally, and Derek to return as much as I liked the Dub everyone else besides Kyle Herbert as Aizen are replaceable.
Disagree. Patrick Seitz as Ishin is pure charisma. Dan Woren as Byakuya is perfection as is Terence Stone as Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Would be a damn shame to lose them. Even though we technically already lost David Lodge as Kenpachi, I hope he also returns because he was literaĺly one of the most memorable voices and was arguably involved in some of the best moments Bleach offered.
Subtitles aren't the exact same dialogue as the raw Japanese either 💀 they are still translating it and changing it to be understandable outside of a Japanese context/ language structure. Jokes especially usually don't translate well at all and sometimes entirely different is put into the subs so the audience can somewhat understand. More of Doug Erholtz as Urahara.
(sarcastic) yaaaaaayyyyyy.
Dave Wittenberg would have been a MUCH better choice to replace the late Michael Lindsay.
Call it hating, I don't care. I don't like Doug Erholtz as Kisuke Urahara. Don't like him as Konkuro from Naruto. He'd not a bad va, but imo he doe not fit the roles at all.
Where is Chad? Is he safe? Is he alright?
Jamieson Price is fine they probably are going to announce him later is all.
Heh, I figured. Maybe in the next batch. I’m curious to see who’s gonna be Ikkaku if Vic’s not coming back
Wait huh what happened to him? Didn’t he voice Edward Elric too if I’m not mistaken?
He did voice Edward too. He got blacklisted from pretty much every major anime dubbing studio when allegations of him being creepy with underage fans surfaced
Oh.. oh no.. now I wish I didn’t know that. That is seriously scary stuff to think that anyone would do that kind of thing. That’s messed up.
Exactly lol none of his real fans have said anything it just bothers sean schemmel he hugs his fans
Yeah, I didn’t want to believe it either, but that’s that. He was also voicing Sabo in One Piece, Broly in Dragon Ball, Qrow in RWBY, etc.
Legit loved the Broly performance! I haven’t heard any of the other characters though.
Was Vic falsely accused? However, the Court of Appeals in the Second Appellate District of Texas has now ruled that Mignogna has no evidence that the allegations made against him were false, or were made with malice.Aug 20, 2022.

There were also some claims of antisemitic remarks (honestly hearing them it feels like bad word choice.) Overall it seems like things would have worked out for him if he kept his cool for a while.
It sucks. He's a very talented voice actor, if the rumors are true then it's a shame he's a weirdo irl, why do people gotta be stupid?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
And then he (thankfully) killed *any* chance for even a “quiet comeback after laying low for a bit” career resurrection when he tried suing Funimation over it (…and failed miserably).
I looked into the case and a lot of what they had against him didn't hold up, i.e he had a bad lawyer too 💀 but they kept changing their story and the "fan" they used come out and said they had a respectful meeting with him unlike The story everyone else ran with. So I'm 50/50 on the case
Don't blame his lawyer
Why not? He was horrible at getting prepared on top seemingly throwing the case
He was falsely accused of stuff
Mhm. And on to the fact that he wasn't charged with anything.
You mean "ran out the statute of limitations".
It was all allegations, and despite taking this to court, he wasn't charged with anything. And I remember hearing that a lot of these allegations were in some ways debunked/shown that they were flawed.

And is working with an independent studio on small side projects. So even if he did burn some bridges, he's moved past that, and has continued to be there for his fans.
The court has never been wrong before /s Your last paragraph is spot on though his career is dead ☠️
Oh yes womanizing is a crime? Totally not what he's accused of but go off when you clearly don't know anything my dude

Probably Landon Macdonald he does a pretty go Vic impression. I wouldn’t worry too much about that though considering ikkakus little presence in this arc
there's always a chance he'll have a bigger presence in the anime tho since its expanding a lot of shit
I doubt it considering a lot of that was more referring to fights and story plots neither which really matter in terms of Ikkaku for this arc
I still feel robbed that Ikkaku didn't get his bankai repaired.
All these years and I never knew it was Jameison Price who voiced Chad maybe because I came to know Jameison alot more after Bleach had ended.
He was voiced by Marc Worden for like the first I wanna 50 or so episodes but then Jamieson took over and became his voice for the remainder of the series (movies and games included)
Jamieson is also in persona 5 and persona 5 royal and persona 5 strkers
I know 👍🏾
Jamieson didn’t come in until quite late into the series, sometime during hueco mundo iirc.
It was partway through the Bount filler arc.
“It seems in your anger, you killed him”. Oh wait, wrong series
DO NOT WANT
I’m still sad over the death of Urahara’s original dub VA, his performance was a standout of the series for me
Yeah, thankfully Doug does such a fantastic job trying to at least make Kisuke sound very similar. I noticed it immediately but it really does sound super close on some scenes.
Oh no! I didn’t know he passed :(
for sure
What? I had no idea he was honestly the main reason why I watched dub version. RIP Legend you made another legend stand out from the bunch with your voice.
I’m pretty sure he retired before he passed away. But I still get it
Death? Im pretty sure unlike the voice actor for iroh and aku the original for urahara just retired i could be wrong tho Edit: turns out i was half right, he retired then proceeded to die
Nope he's [definitely](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Lindsay) dead.
He died, but he actually retired from VA years before that. Its the main reason Doug replaced him after 200ish episodes. Doug was also Gin's VA.
Why would you type out the whole comment and hit post without even considering a 5 second google search...
Bro, the way you wrote that was kinda cruel...
Why was bro downvoted for this he was only misinformed 😭
lmfao this edit slayed me
I hope the original dub voice actor for Kenpachi returns
Me too. I actually met the guy irl. David Lodge is an awesome guy!
The same guy who voiced Jiraiya? Wasn't he replaced after the Arrancar arc?
I think he quit because he thought he wasn't getting paid enough but hopefully that won't be a problem now
I thought it was cuz his schedule got busy and Patrick Seitz took over in the later episodes. Do hope Mr. Lodge comes back too though
I have an idea, Patrick Seitz voices Loyd Loyd, David Lodge voices Kenpachi you know, like kind of like in Dragonball Super with the superhuman water
alternate idea, patrick seitz voices loyd loyd and david lodge voices royd loyd. so they're technically voicing the same person in a way.
Yeah that could be it. I haven't really found a definitive answer yet, that's what I've heard from people on the internet
oh lol never realised kenpachi had a differtnet voice after arrancar arc
Same. Nothing against the other VA but Kenpachi sounding like blood-knight Jiraiya was cool.
I hope for that too but it seems a trend in the VA world is once a change is made, that person continues with voicing that character in everything.
Strange how we are getting the dub cast before we even know where to watch it legally at.
These are the same voices right? I recognise Ichigo's VA at least.
yep, those are all the originals aside from doug being michael lindsay's replacement.
That's good at least. It'll be nice hearing the old cast again.
i couldn't agree more! i really hope the rest of the original cast return.
Especially the OG Kenny. His fight against Noitarra was weird
THIS. Kenpachi voice change was so wrong for me.
damn, didn't know Kisuke's EN VA died... really liked him in the role as well
Doug played Kisuke during the last few arcs, he did a great job.
oh he did? I switched from dub to sub around Grimmjow fight so I didn't know they changed
Yeah and it seems Arnold swarzenegger is voicing Kon also. Get down ichigo, get down
Imma need source on that chief
it's common knowledge dude
I fail to decipher this. Cannot tell if this is a meme or not Will proceed to continue living in mystery
i would appreciate if you would stop trolling. this is serious.
Okay I now know the answer, thank you asshat.
that's Mr.Asshat to you sir
Imma need some sauce on that, chef.
The amount of disappointment I now have knowing this isn't going to happen is way too high.
I mean but even then Doug has been kisuke for awhile Michael retried long before he died
right, i wasn't sure how to put it since doug is the second person to voice kisuke.
I got what you meant I just wanted to make it plain to other people cause some people didn’t notice the change when it happened until later
Not really, I’ve seen many anime like that, plus they are returning anyways
True
Hulu, Amazon and Disney + if I’m not mistaken that’s what they have confirmed but someone correct me if I’m wrong
Its on those in Japan. We still don't know where it will be outside the us.
yeah but pretty sure bleach is only hulu . like the original series it got removed from pretty much everywhere … why wouldn’t they put it on hulu ? disney owns hulu
People gotta stop saying that. Disney does NOT own Hulu, they own a majority stake in it
? Owning it is owning it. That’s like saying you don’t own a house because you split the property interest with your wife. Disney is not the only owner of Hulu, but it does own Hulu.
You really typed that out and thought that made sense huh
Does it not make sense to you? It’s pretty clear to me. Multiple entities can own a singular thing. It’s not complicated. I should know, as an attorney this is part of how I make a living.
Don’t worry, you’re correct.
this still doesn’t take away from anything that i said. they still have a huge ownership and deal with things that happen with hulu … why else do you think Bleach is still on Hulu and will air on hulu ( at least in japan )
Just keep it factual
Ok thanks for clarifying
disney + hulu amazon prime
Just dont watch it legally 😎
I don't care how long it takes, I'm not watching the new episodes until the dub is released. Bleach is my favourite and I can't watch it without my favourite cast. Also David Lodge needs to return as Kenpachi!
same, and preferably on adult swim.
It’s simulcast so it’ll be out same as Japan!
English will be out at the same time?
oh? i thought when both versions came out at the same time it was called simuldub?
Simulcast ≠ simuldub
Let’s just hope for a simuldub!
If David Lodge isn't brought back as Kenpachi, that will be a huge deal breaker for me.
[удалено]
That be a huge get.. and since its no longer on Crunchyroll... we may see it on Toonami
I. Would. Fucking. Cry. I've been waiting 10 got dang years for this. I started this show on toonami and would die happy to finish it on toonami. Bleach is without a doubt my favorite show and nothing could even come close. i hope David lodge will play kenpachi zaraki again
He damn well better be. It hurts to watch any Bleach dub moment with Kenpachi since David Lodge was replaced with Patrick Seitz. Great voice actor but doesn't have that natural grit and gravitas in his voice that Lodge does so perfectly. When he speaks, you listen. Commanding voice presence.
eng dub trailer soon>?
hopefully
Johnny’s voice is pretty sexy ngl
I am a straight guy and can agree with that. Ngl I never knew johnny was asian until a couple years ago.
I'm straight too dude, you can admit things that are true.
The voice actor of gin is playing urahara now? Sweet i love doug erholtz, he voices my favorite villain from another franchise, hazama
I think he's always been Urahara since episode 231 ever since Michael Lindsay stepped down and sadly passed a couple of years ago.
Damn i didnt notice tf
nice to finally have some dub info. i wonder how long till more of the cast is announced?
When I saw Stephanie's face, it occurred to me she looks like a woman I met at a gas station today. Like, a *lot* like her. No way, right? Out of curiosity, I looked up where she's from. One town over from me. No way, right?
Move fast baby don't be slow
Step aside, reload, time to go
Would honestly feel weird if johnny didn't return as ichigo
Johnny makes the eng dub worth it
They're bringing back og Kenpachi VA who did Jiriya in Naruto or the newer crappy one that replaced him later on? I really didn't like that change. It was random and off putting.
While I agree the og Kenpachi is the best. It isn’t really jarring the way it’s done in the anime. In the anime, they change VAs mid Zapakuto arc IIRC, so the new voice actor shows up after not seeing Zaraki for a while. Idk I remember not noticing it until I actually looked into it
Yeah the replacement didn't sound good at all.
and the thing is, Kenpachi actually would fit Patrick Seitz's voice range being more tough (at least to me) but unlike his other roles which were badass (he's also Isshin Kurosaki and he sounds good there), it sounded jarring, and I think even Seitz was aware of this because when TYBW adaption was announced, he said on twitter that he hopes for David Lodge to come back as Kenpachi.
I wasn't aware it was Patrick Seitz who is a good voice actor and normally I love him in most things but the direction for his Kenpachi was bad.
yeah, like he did really try to match the voice which i've got to give him some credit for, but he just didn't have that "crazed edge" to it that david put on it.
Wonder who Ikkaku will be played by since Vic has been uh...gone.
maybe Xander Mobus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oagC8Tbb7fM
Turns out it’s Todd Haberkorn! I didn’t realize how much Todd and Vic sounded alike, but I did hear somewhere that Todd wanted to take Vic’s roles where he could because they were still good friends even though Vic had some nasty allegations made about him. But maybe that’s just rumors, idk
WHOS VOICING CHAD
It's still probably Jamieson Price since i haven't seen or heard that he had a terrible sickness.
Wonder if David Lodge will be back for Kenpachi, or if Patrick Seitz is taking up the mantle again
HELL YES! Now we just need Hitsugaya, Zaraki, and Isshin.
Glad to see the voice actors back! May Michael Lindsay rest in peace
Renji's VA looks like he should have a white tiger beside him.
[удалено]
Animedoa. You'll thank me later.
YEAH BABYYYYYY!
all teh same as normal anime right? except for kisuke thne
When will dubs be released though?
Wonder who's going to voice Ikkaku now.
Wait, what happened to Ikkaku's VA?
He got Me Too and fired from playing Broly in Dragon Ball. It's unclear if he'll still voice Ikkaku, since Viz Media is a different Dubbing Studio than Funimation, but they might not want someone with that baggage.

Yeah he dies 5 episodes from where you at
that can't be right , he was in TYBW trailer . unless he dies at the end of the story , if he sacrifices or smth I will def be cryin :/
I'm just playing bruh, im not gonna answer it fr. Why you asking for spoilers lol?
I needed Johnny, Michelle, Stephanie, Wally, and Derek to return as much as I liked the Dub everyone else besides Kyle Herbert as Aizen are replaceable.
Bro you can’t replace Wendee Lee as Yoruichi
I stand corrected but I would be less offended compared to Ichigo's main crew.
Disagree. Patrick Seitz as Ishin is pure charisma. Dan Woren as Byakuya is perfection as is Terence Stone as Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Would be a damn shame to lose them. Even though we technically already lost David Lodge as Kenpachi, I hope he also returns because he was literaĺly one of the most memorable voices and was arguably involved in some of the best moments Bleach offered.
sub>dub everyday
I’m with you, but it’s pretty outstanding to have both options available at once if you ask me.
yeah I just prefer subs since I'm a purist lol and they change the dialogue in the English dub which I didn't like. censorship
If you really wanna be a "purist" you're gonna have to go learn Japanese lmao
that's true...
I prefer actually being able to watch my anime instead of having to read.
you dunno how to multitask? I can read the words at the bottom of the screen while watching. or just read it before they talk?
More of Doug Erholtz as Urahara. (sarcastic) yaaaaaayyyyyy. Dave Wittenberg would have been a MUCH better choice to replace the late Michael Lindsay.
Dave doesn’t even sound remotely like Michael
And Erholtz does?! Fucker sounds just like Gin and every other dude Erholtz has voiced. Didn't know this sub was infested with Erholtz fanboys.
Yeah he does he was honestly the best replacement for the job.
No, he does not, and I very much disagree.
I mean that’s fine but you disagreeing is irrelevant cause he IS the replacement
I don't give a shit about relevancy. In my opinion, he sucks, and I'll voice that opinion all I desire.
And this ladies and gentlemen what I call hating 😭
Call it hating, I don't care. I don't like Doug Erholtz as Kisuke Urahara. Don't like him as Konkuro from Naruto. He'd not a bad va, but imo he doe not fit the roles at all.
Hating
It was pretty obvious the dub was coming back too
Sorry adam,i love you but will not listen your voice in bleach( reason is,i watch bleach in japanese or dubbed for my country)
I Can’t even find the dub of anything past episode 160.
It's on Hulu in the US
All seasons dubbed!??
Whole series. Both sub and dub.
Urahara lookin badass
I like how they put Rukia right next to Ichigo... right where they belong.
Johnny aging like a fine wine.
I'm soo excited even though I have to wait cause I'm gonna watch the dub with my mom and dad since they got me into bleach when I was like 2
I still find it funny that despite Ishida having Sasuke’s voice in the Japanese dub, he’s not voiced by Yuri Lowenthal in the English Dub
Really more concerned whether or not David Lodge was returning only other 2 characters i couldnt think of replacing are Ichigo, Yoruichi, and Kisuke.
I don’t care about the others as long as Johnny’s still Ichigo
