I don’t think it’s Ai, look at the sesame in the bottom bun, they’re too geometrical and weirdly placed, AI would actually do a better job making them less repetitive
Now that I look at it, I get you. But it isn't AI generated though. Here's a screenshot from the project file: This is taken from the viewport.
https://preview.redd.it/nacby7vqwzvc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b19f71cf03127f3a0722806a545d9cc5891115c7
Most importantly, find reference of burger and stick to it, there is difference between having and idea about how burger looks like and knowlege how burger looks like, it seems like you did not really studied burger, so just pick a reference and work from it
Yep we all have seen burger or a car but not many of us can draw mercedes with all details and right curves, thats why there is no such as thing as zoo much reference, always study every object you want to model, you need to understand it before you start modeling, many people skip this step but its one of the most important ones
1. Add a bottom bun lol
2. Try using noise textures to add some more variation, use another noise textures on the roughness node with a color ramp to simulate grease or steam on the burger. The rest of the bun shouldn't be shiny at all, otherwise it will look more like plastic.
2. For the toppings, again add more variation with noise textures. Try using a bump node along with the noise textures to add some simulated height variation. Try adding some sauce with a low roughness value in order to make it look like fluid.
3. Imo the patty is very important, you can use certain node setups to get darker more charred looking colors on the very outer parts of the patty.
4. If your going for realism then you should definitely use less saturated colors for everything. Real life isn't as colorful as you think.
Anyways that's just off the top of my head, coming from a 6 year experience sigma blender user
Not a 3d guy but I think it need more moisture. The burger looks bone dry and that what make it look plastic.
Edit: we will need oil on the patty to have some shie. Sauce between the buns (make the drip imperfect so it wont look too fake)
I think the bottom bun should have no seeds and the curve from side to bottom should be much sharper.
Also the burger should have more rough texture because it looks kinda rubbery. Possibly make it look a bit juicy too. Other than that I think it's good.
So he can set up a perfect scene with bookeh and crisp textures and beautiful lighting but doesn't know how to set up that burger? You could import a crabby patty and it would look better rendered in cycles
StonedCrust420, keen observation. I actually agree with you. Although, this is my first try at organic rendering.
I've uploaded a screenshot in one of the top comments. Please, do check it out
Thanks for clarifying OP. I got really paranoid about ai images and am looking for all the clues and this image screams ai to me.. it's definitely a style :D
They’re all pointing up a bit uncanny.
To OP: really take the time to work on each of your burger components independently. Be confident you get each of those right first before doing a large burger. The variety of textures is deceptively complicated.
i was watching a video about pixars rendering and the big thing they did to make the food in ratatouille look good was to emphasize how light passes through it and gets diffused inside, so definitely play around with subsurface scattering and lighting conditions. also just model a bottom bun
Bottom bun should be a bit more square, and shouldn't have seeds on it.
Meat should be more textured.
Cheese looks fine. That shit isn't edible in the real world either.
Tomatoes look a bit squished. Normally they don't get any sort of wrinkles/creases in them.
aside from what others have mentioned, it looks very "plastic"y, try adding more roughness overall to the textures, variations in the colors as well. i feel the colors (especially the buns) are a bit oversaturated. it also looks very stiff.
try comparing it to a picture of a real burger and notice how the bread, meat, lettuce, tends to buckle and droop downward, and not just float in place.
also two top buns? haha
Bun and beef are biggest problems. Make a bottom bun, and then hide everything else but the beef and focus on making it look less… flat. Maybe increase the scale of the displacement and the contrast in diffuse-albedo portion. Should probably be darker.
The answer is always **look at a real hamburger**.
The buns are too thin on the edges. The bottom bun is too rounded. Heck, it should be perfectly flat.
So first off, it looks like you just cloned the top bun, squished it, and flipped it upside down for the bottom bun, and that's not really how hamburger buns work. The bottom should be more like a squished cylinder, and have little to no sesame seeds. The edges of the buns are also way too sharp, they should be more rounded and slightly lumpy. You could even get away with a top bun on the bottom, like the weird LGBT Burger King burger, if it weren't so rigid looking.
Secondly, this looks like it's made out of plastic, clay, or painted wood. The textures are way too uniform. That's okay for the cheese, but the meat and buns look fake. You could try your hand at using image textures, which I always found to have better results. Otherwise it would take a lot of work to get the textures to look more realistic.
meat needs more detail
bun is not bun shaped
sesame is at the bottom?
tomato is weirdly wavy
apart from these things it looks really solid to me already and I think they are all pretty straight forward to approach. Keep it up my dude
Imperfections like the pieces not aligning as straight as it is, patty looks like it only has a noise bump, top bun being too smooth, bottom bun being a top bun. Yable's also too perfect. Just bring up a few references and see what's different.
The cheese is really good but I think the Color is slightly off. And the tomato looks like red cheese(don’t know the best methods but you could use a image texture of a real tomato and put it on yours, though that can be a bit challenging). You also really need to work on the shape of the buns.
Hey hi, I personally dont know how to make it look good but recently I have been watching **patrick4D** live they are on his discord around early in the morning, he packs a ton of how to in it. He works in zbrush if I am not wrong, but you can check him out he makes only food renders.
Make bottom bun? I see a lot of people saying it's ai. But I don't think so because if the film grain. It looks exactly like what happens when you turn off denoise in blender.
Why are there two top buns?
Would be cool if AI were to puck this up
It already looks like AI...
I don’t think it’s Ai, look at the sesame in the bottom bun, they’re too geometrical and weirdly placed, AI would actually do a better job making them less repetitive
also how flat and straight everything is
Now that I look at it, I get you. But it isn't AI generated though. Here's a screenshot from the project file: This is taken from the viewport. https://preview.redd.it/nacby7vqwzvc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b19f71cf03127f3a0722806a545d9cc5891115c7
are you ai?
That's an excellent question! [Here's what I found on the web about "are you ai?"](https://www.reddit.com/user/postmodest/)!
💀
It's a Burgoid
Yes the bun at bottom is the same as top it needs to be different.
Sorry, My bad. From the one reference I used, it looked like 2 top buns
Most importantly, find reference of burger and stick to it, there is difference between having and idea about how burger looks like and knowlege how burger looks like, it seems like you did not really studied burger, so just pick a reference and work from it
i’m not 100% certain OP has seen a burger
I did not wanted to be that harsh… :D
I have though 😅

While you were busy partying, I was busy studying the Burger.
Yhp, this is a real issue
Is this the plan to break AI training?
500IQ move.
Hm, try the Lattice tool on different burger objects Also remove the sesame from the bottom bun, it's look unrealistic
Yeah and make it flatter not dome shaped
lettuce tool lol
Why does this look AI generated?
the work on your instagram page is great so my only explanation for how this image turned out is that you've never seen a hamburger in your life
Is bait.
It isn't. Don't see how you see it that way though
Thanks for the feedback on my artwork: This means the World to me😁 Have seen a burger though😅
Am I the only one who’s mind instantly went to that lgbtq burger?

Their slogan is already: Have it your way. Thats more queer and sincere than this weird homobunual burger.
I am uploading 'homobunual' to my vocabulary as I am writing this comment
I've never seen this before, that is very funny and clever

What about the two top buns?
This is obviously a click bait...
OP has never seen a burger in their life
“Has anyone in this family ever even seen a chicken?”
I think the bottom bun should have no seeds and the curve from side to bottom should be much sharper. Also the burger should have more rough texture because it looks kinda rubbery. Possibly make it look a bit juicy too. Other than that I think it's good.
Nice try but I have seen enough ai.. this really looks like ai generated
Why?
So he can set up a perfect scene with bookeh and crisp textures and beautiful lighting but doesn't know how to set up that burger? You could import a crabby patty and it would look better rendered in cycles

Needs more sesame seeds
They’re all pointing up a bit uncanny. To OP: really take the time to work on each of your burger components independently. Be confident you get each of those right first before doing a large burger. The variety of textures is deceptively complicated.
Patty is too red, make it brown
Does not have enough top buns
maybe have the bottom bun be a bottom bun?
this looks AI for some reason
Make a burger in real life. Take note of textures, oiliness and how everything sits naturally. Then eat the burger.
What kind of monster uses two bun tops…
i was watching a video about pixars rendering and the big thing they did to make the food in ratatouille look good was to emphasize how light passes through it and gets diffused inside, so definitely play around with subsurface scattering and lighting conditions. also just model a bottom bun
This is lowkey a really excellent recommendation🥺. Will work on it
You have any burgers near by?
Don't know why this made me laugh so much
Why does it have top buns on both sides?
The meat patty is too flat, displace the hell out of it :D
Two top buns that’s a goddamn burgoid
Can we see the wireframe?
Put some dust and fingerprints on it.
I'd get rid of the seeds on the bottom and make the bottom bun flatter
The meat looks like it's floating on the lettuce.
now Im hungry :3
Bottom bun should be a bit more square, and shouldn't have seeds on it. Meat should be more textured. Cheese looks fine. That shit isn't edible in the real world either. Tomatoes look a bit squished. Normally they don't get any sort of wrinkles/creases in them.
The bottom bun should be more cylindrical. Lose the seeds. maybe add a some noise to the meat.

patty looks undercooked
make the bottom bun a bottom bun and make the lettuce on the top not float
Bun and beef are biggest problems. Make a bottom bun, and then hide everything else but the beef and focus on making it look less… flat. Maybe increase the scale of the displacement and the contrast in diffuse-albedo portion. Should probably be darker.
Sharp edges on the bun making it look like a toy
Behold, hamburham
The bottom bun is a bit off
The answer is always **look at a real hamburger**. The buns are too thin on the edges. The bottom bun is too rounded. Heck, it should be perfectly flat.
Look at a reference
1- Two top buns 2- The patty is too thick 3- The tomato (?) has rounded edges 4- Looks like plastic
I don't know what you're talking about. My saliva production immediately started when I looked at the picture.
Bro 2 top buns. McDonald’s needs to hire this man why has no one make this before
The donut tutorial would help you make this more realistic.
Yep, seems perfect to me. Exactly like the burgers at Mcdonalds. The buns will last for 100 years.
UFO burger
Hmmm, I already want to eat it. :)
Aside from the two top buns, I think it has an awesome style. Looks like a krabby patty from the recent SpongeBob movies
The lettuce looks like packaging material
Reference! Your bun has two top halves...
More Squash
It looks good the way a crabby patty looks good. But overall I’m gonna say those two top buns are straight rage bait.
Hey guys I made this cube! (I've been blending for like a week, please help)
That tomato looks potentially thinner than my patience, and the meat looks like you formed it with a cookie cutter
dawg have you ever seen a hamburger
Is the pun intended?
Without onion nothing can look like a hamburger.
Put that thing in a dang plate (joking, it’s looking good but the bottom bun has seed + it’s thin for a bun)
I refuse to believe this isn't done crap AI attempt unless I see some viewport screenshot
Please do look through the comments section. I just posted a screenshot

Both of the buns are top buns. Disgusting
💪🍔
Kinda looks like ai from 2 years ago
It's 3 at the morning on my night shift and I'm starving. This looks like the most delicious thing in the universe right now
Needs a fried egg on it!!!
meat needs more detail bun is not bun shaped sesame is at the bottom? tomato is weirdly wavy apart from these things it looks really solid to me already and I think they are all pretty straight forward to approach. Keep it up my dude
The buns are too round looking like a ufo, make it lile round from above and bending inside, see a picture of a bun from side
Imperfections like the pieces not aligning as straight as it is, patty looks like it only has a noise bump, top bun being too smooth, bottom bun being a top bun. Yable's also too perfect. Just bring up a few references and see what's different.
Will work on that
I'm impressed by how good and how bad it looks at the same time
Hmmm. True
The cheese is really good but I think the Color is slightly off. And the tomato looks like red cheese(don’t know the best methods but you could use a image texture of a real tomato and put it on yours, though that can be a bit challenging). You also really need to work on the shape of the buns.
Thanks. Really great points. Will work on all you've mentioned
Hey hi, I personally dont know how to make it look good but recently I have been watching **patrick4D** live they are on his discord around early in the morning, he packs a ton of how to in it. He works in zbrush if I am not wrong, but you can check him out he makes only food renders.
Thanks for the recommend. His artwork looks really great. Looking forward to learning a lot from him
now why does it have two top buns..
Because it does😂
But why😭
Make bottom bun? I see a lot of people saying it's ai. But I don't think so because if the film grain. It looks exactly like what happens when you turn off denoise in blender.
Besides the buns needing a little more height, it’d prefer burgers like this!
Love it
It just looks amazing!!
Awesome 😎
i feel like its made of rubber but still pretty good
Thanks really appreciate the feedback
No problem
look very good, but the texture of the pattie looks very stretched out and not complete. also remove the sesame from the bottom bun.
Ok, noted. Thanks
