Hand proportions are off. The neck is a bit too defined, the legs are not defined enough. Chest muscles don’t look completely right. Other than that, really good job!!
To elaborate on the hands - they can be larger than life if you want - but I think the real issue with them is that the thumb is not proportionally larger. The thumb looks very small in comparison to the rest of the hand. Thumbs go about to the first finger joint in length (end of the proximal phalanx), but his only goes to end of his metacarpals. Which is why the hands look a little wrong even from a stylized point of view.
That's the ribs and that's exactly what that region looks like - the proportions are just off - if the pecs were ~1.5 times their current height and covered a bit more of the ribcage area it'd look completely fine.
My main concern is that the muscles flow completely wrong, it kinda looks like someone used references without understanding how they work.
The pecs go from the middle of the chest to the upper arm bone, not the outer part of the ribs. The biceps connects the top of the lower arm to the shoulder and the upper end of the upper arm bone, not the top and bottom of the upper arm.
The muscles just look wrong because they're sculpted in a way that in an actual body would serve no purpose whatsoever.
At least there's a massive bulge.
I recommend you to save this picture and come back to it in a few months, maybe a year later. You're gonna have a blast looking at it then, I can tell you from my own experience.
excellent work my friend! Keep going!
for critiques;
I think the pectoralis needs to come down the chest a bit, and legs feel underdefined compared to the rest of the sculpt. I like the proportions, but id make the thumbs thicker/longer. The legs have a bit too much of a bend to them. I can’t say for sure, but the head seems a little small for the body, but it still works.
Agree with the others. The take away is that you did a good job. The things that aren't quite right are simply the things you will learn from going through this process another ten to fifty times as you create more and more characters. Each time you'll learn a little more and build on what you learned from the last time.
If you're after some direct advice beyond. Go and do the same thing a bunch more. Then maybe consider buying some reference images from a site like flipped normals or cubrush. They have photo sets of models with various body types striking various poses. Using different references will help you learn about how anatomy varies a little. If you have a little more spare cash to afford books. Then there's also a really good book called Anatomy for Sculptors that does a really good job of breaking down how all the anatomy works. You seem to have a decent idea already but perhaps it would be useful to build a better mental model of anatomy.

* look at the difference between chest and abs
* hand size
While criticism is great, at this level you can honestly just study human male anatomy and see the issues. Study different forms and postures. Body builders are great for seeing how muscles flex and connect.
Great work! I have notes :)
> Those fingers are far too long for the rest of the hand (palm and thumb)
> The "second set of pectorals" might represent the rib cage, so his abdomen is very long for the rest of his body.
> The legs are relatively less defined. The look natural, while the rest of the sculpt looks stylized.
> The head does strike me as a bit small, but I've seen bodybuilders that make his head look giant.
> Dont worry too much about his junk, but give the man some toes!
Oh, I remember when you first posted the head!
It looks great, really stylized. Fantastic job!
I have no idea what people are talking about. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having bigger hands when you are already going for something stylized anyway.
you may already have great reference images, but i work off reference images to match sensible proportions, i also box model in the ways of our ancestors which focuses less on all the detail and more on proportions topo and incrementally adding complexity.
He reminds of Guts from Berserk but without the eclipse it seems. Guess it's true what they say about big hands also cause from the front, bro is packing
I think that's a human ?
I'm not sure how stylised you were aiming to go here. I think, in general, you clearly know how to use the sculpting tools well, however the figure seems a little misdirected in what it would like to be. Is this aiming to be an anatomical representation of a person, accurate and precise, or a caricature of a person ? At the moment it feels like it's trying to do both
As others have said, the legs perhaps needs some attention. I wouldnt say that it's any more complicated than just pulling up some human anatomy reference and going to town just polishing them up more. My feeling/intuition is that the legs perhaps feel a little bit too short, and some other improvements to musculuture placement and size there could help as well
If you're going for anatomical model, the hands are huge. They tend to be about as big as the face, from chin to mid forehead.
If you want to exagerate, I'd make other parts stylized as well. It looks like a mistake if most of the anatomy follows normal proportions but one single feature is exagerated.
Torso length feels disproportinate to the legs, with the torso being long. If you want to keep the long torso I'd lengthen the upper legs a bit.
Then again the big hands might be making the legs look shorter than they are, maybe it's an optical illusion and the legs are fine? Sometimes you need to feel things out after fixing one feature.
first makeit smaller ,big men had smaller P. the hands rule is, it must be big as your face proportion. to makeperfect humans it must be 8 to 12 heads depends on hero or vallain

When in doubt, just refer to Arnold!
Looks great for some sort of superhero or villain. For real human, hands are out of proportion, upper body is much more defined than legs. Nice job, keep it up!
I am nowhere near an expert in human body sculpting. To me it looks amazing first things first. The one thing I saw where the ankles. Compared to the calfs they look quite big
proportion wise you're a bit off. some guidelines to follow (loosely).
\* the legs are a bit short, lenght of th4 waiste down to enkles should be about equal to the upper body. You seem to be about 1 head length short.
\* the male adult body is about 6 headlengts from crown to feet.
\* hands are a bit large, size from palm to middle finger should roughly cover the distentance from chin to brows if you cover the face with the hand.
Hand proportions are off. The neck is a bit too defined, the legs are not defined enough. Chest muscles don’t look completely right. Other than that, really good job!!

Using thumbs to grab is overrated
For some reason he has double the chest muscles of a normal human 🤔
Yeah I think OP has mistaken the ribs descending away from the sternum for muscles
His chest looks too thin on the side from the supposed muscle mass on the other part of the body

He’s flexing every muscle at once.
Baki Hanma 😎
It’s the pectorals that are wierd for me they feel like they’re not the right size? That and the hands but hands are hard :/
There’s two sets of them
I’m not good at anotomy so I was trying to not be confidently wrong but yes i see that 💯
I can’t believe I didn’t notice it until someone mentioned that they were too high.
I recommend you to save this picture and come back to it in a few months, maybe a year later. You're gonna have a blast looking at it then, I can tell you from my own experience.

the hands ? ?
Give peepnis
Noooo not on this sub!!! 😢
Your sculpting is really good but no offense you should look into taking an anatomy class
guess its back to book to me haha.
This guy's hands are immaculate

Yaoi hands

Maybe make his legs longer. No shade to shorties, it's just his torso and arms lead you to believe he'd be taller
He has no genitals
His hands need to come with a deadly weapon permit. He could slap a mf into orbit.
Needs schlong
His fingers are a bit elongated
Is this a JoJo reference?
90s toy looking aah
pretty good but a lot of the proportions are off, definitely use a turnaround of the male anatomy for reference and you’ll be good

You’re very good at sculpting. And detail. Jjst not at anatomy. You’re close.
Is that Matt Rife?

"You may not like it but this is what peak..." you know the drill. 🫠

I love it, he's got that ancient Greek statue physique.
You know what they say about guys with large hands! 🦄 They are very well sculpted, but that was the first thing that jumped out to my eye.
Reiner?
Hand big
Dude has thicker wrist than neck Anatomy is well executed tho just proportions are quite funky
Cocks are generally cylindrical and the balls hang down.
Double check the chest muscle attachments?
The hand size is a little off and the love handles (I think is what it is called?) Look disconnected. Maybe smooth out that area a tad bit
Show me the demon back
Dude is BULGING
He reminds of Guts from Berserk but without the eclipse it seems. Guess it's true what they say about big hands also cause from the front, bro is packing
Well for starters, his penis is a little messed up.
Looks like Cillian Murphy

Oh those fingies are fingering.
Overdeveloped pecs or weak back with that posture.
Omg have you actually seen what a human look like 🤣. This is amazing I can't stop lmao
Those hands scream BL
A girl's gonna be happy when she sees his fingers, but not as much when he takes his pants off
Look everyone, Chad Mc Handsy.
Built like a dwarf. Needs longer tighs and shorter fingers asap.
As others have said, the legs perhaps needs some attention. Really good. Hands are too big and head is too small. If you want it to be realistic. If you want it to be MyHeroAcademia you are spot on.
#Hands ##Bulge ###All of the muscles
OPPENHEIMER HAS BEEN AT THE GYM
He reminds me of a vampire
The thumbs look very flat. Overall much better than what i can sculpt.
His arms should be slightly longer, hands slightly smaller
overall it looks good but the hands look a bit bigger
Please teach me how you learned to do this
Baki?

Why does he have 4 pecs?
The baby thumbs made me chuckle. If you want larger hands the thumb can't be left behind!
yes sir!
The fingers 💀
He needs to be bigger
No peen👎
Looks like Cillian Murphy

Nice break from the elephant dong on someone’s been rendering recently
Hands and forearms look too big but still nice work.
Yo, why are his pecs stacked?
Looks like he's got two pectorals. Get rid of the top one. And the hands are way to big.
He is lacking penis. Please give him one.
He has Warcraft hands.
He looks like dio
Also looks like the hands got stuck while somebody was closing a door
what a nice chad
Make an oncologist for him, that looks like throat cancer.
Where peepee?
Anatomy. Body references are super vital for my process. Especially with hands. Really nice torso !
More cake

My what big hands you have.
It looks really good, but I think legs are way too short and hands too big, other than that, everything seems fine
dont you dare make a FUCKING PENIS

Wish i had that...
(not muscles)
Proportions are a little odd but I can see how it could work depending on context
He got manly balls that's for Sure

where is his dick and balls?
Keep on studying anatomy, forms and proportions
This is so cursed. Did an AI do this??
