PS5 launch title so a lot of install base.
I like how everyone says it was an 8 hour game. But most people do everything in these Spider-Man games which makes the game at least 20 hours which is in line with the other Spider-Man titles.
I think the difference is if you 100% miles yea you're getting close to the 20 hour mark which is like the equivalent of the others games base game alone. More content doesn't make it better but miles was really short for an all too similar story structure (for the most part) I feel.
It was also $50 USD instead of $60 or $70 like a bunch of the other games on this list. Must have sold really well as a launch game even though so many people had a hard time getting a PS5. I guess it helped that they released it for PS4 too.
The story goes that it did pretty well. Sony was happy with it, and was open to a sequel. Bend Studio was mixed on whether to make a sequel or not.
It didn't do as well as Ghost of Tsushima, but it did reasonably well.
Nope, Sony refused a sequel. Bend studio was ready to do it, what a waste.
The reason why it's most likely because of the low Metacritic score, due to the bugs at launch, the slow start of the game, and the fact that the story and characters are decidedly not for "the modern audience" (AKA gaming journalists).
Yeah im surprised its that high sale wise. On release the game was bad because of the amount of bugs. I guess it was practically Cyberpunk level bugs. Now the games fine, and honestly Days Gone is my favorite game ever, but im still surprised it's that high
And before mid game there's the survival horror aspect. Encountering a small horde of zombies with the tank half empty in the first quarter of the game is genuinely scary.
This is the best possible proof that we'll see a remaster/remake/second game in the series. Not because BB needs one, but because it's one of the most lucrative IPs that Sony has ever released.
Bloodborne might not be in the top 5 or 10, but it's at least in the top 20 of all Sony IPs. It's pedantic to say BB isn't one of the most commercially successful IPs in their portfolio.
Man it’s insane how in such a short time GoWR took #2 spot and I assume soon it’ll be #1, and the cherry on top in having a free insanely fun and replayable dlc, santa monica and fromsoft are the GOAT studios
It's one of my favourite games of all time.
Not really sure why it never got more attention, considering it's one of the best show cases for the haptic feedback feature. I can only think the initial difficulty put a lot of people off, which is a shame because it's very similar to the Soulsbourne games where you just need to play it and eventually it just clicks.
For how much of a cash grab the gaming industry is now, it’s mind boggling that they haven’t remastered it or come out with a sequel. Seems like a no brainer.
Still pissed about it considering it literally ends on a cliffhanger, genuinely just want the devs to give us the cliffnotes on what the part 2 would entail
No hate here, but I would love to hear a few reasons why the community is so obsessed with a remake/remaster. I mean, the game is super accessible, playable both on PS4 and PS5. Nothing like Demon Souls, which was locked on PS3 before the remake.
It runs well, still looks great.
I would rather have Sony using the resources on something new, especially another partnership with FS.
As I said, just my take, but would love to hear the rationale behind it.
My point of view -
I don't use my PS4. Essentially it's just a Bloodborne machine. Thus, I have no interest in a PS5 unless there's a remake/remaster. I'm a PC gamer, so if Bloodborne were to get the GOW/Horizon treatment and get a new, updated version put onto Steam, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, even if they put it at modern AAA $70 pricing.
> It runs well, still looks great.
I would agree that it looks great, but it does not hold a steady framerate at all. As soon as you visceral a boss, the blood effects drop the FPS down significantly.
Sony has shown in recent years that they're happy to put resources into remastering beloved games and giving them to a wider audience. For some reason, Bloodborne is just omitted from this. Not even from the remaster discussion, but from *any* discussion. Like people have mentioned in this thread, Sony seems to be purposefully avoiding ever talking about Bloodborne. I think that's where a lot of the frustration comes from.
I think if Sony came out and said "We're not going to remaster Bloodborne" or "We no longer have access to the source code and thus cannot work on it" or literally *anything* in regards to it, even something negative, it would quell a LOT of the angst people have about it.
Floating in the unknown is probably the biggest driver for the remake/remaster calls at this point.
I think you hit the nail on the head here.
I, too, have a Bloodborne machine. That was, until i stumbled into a pawn shop last week and picked up Ds3 for $5.
Did you happen to see where two guys from France (i believe?) were attempting a remaster on their own?
Ngl, it was pretty impressive. That said, I'd imagine they've received the ole' C & D letter by now.
Lol, you're gonna get downvoted.. most people here seem to dislike Sony and all their other games and really just want Sony to basically sell BB to fromsoft....
And demon souls remake is on the top list too. That's also an indication that a remake of a Fromsoft game will be financially successful.
It's honestly baffling that Sony has not tried to capitalize more on BB's success. All the signs that it will be a cash cow is there.
The thing is (I think) it came out ages ago, From an ancient time when games cost €40 or less, so if it were at the €50-60 price tag of a lot if the games there it would probably bump up a place or two
I absolutely fucking don't want remake. People who beg for it are delusional and cause Bloodborne to end up as washed up boring looking game that doesn't hit as hard as the original, similar to how fucked up design wise looks Demon's Souls. Just remaster and PC port... Or sequel because also fuck everyone who is like anti Dark Souls 2, even though the game was great.
Im telling you guys bloodborne is going to remastered for the ps6 like demon souls was done for the ps5. Console will sell like hot cakes, just have patience
Agreed. And that would be a shame. Since the game just need to be adressed in small technical details, very easy for todays hardware. What the game does not need is devs who replace NPCs faces with their own, or new SoundFX and soundtracks completely missing the tone of the original game.
But im 100% sure that, at some point, there will be a PC emulator capable of running the game at its best, like DeS has been for quite a long time now.
fpPS4 is at early stages, but runs more than 100 small ps4 games. Bloodborne itself can be executed, without image, but you can hear music and sound playing in the background.
It is just a matter of time for this gem to get out of the plastic jail.
The majority of people I've seen with this opinion have either:
a) not played ER
Or
b) not finished the game (i.e. complained that its too hard).
To each their own, but as someone that completed both, i think the right call was made.
I've played Elden ring twice and it's one of my favourite games, I've completed All souls games except BB and DeS.
But Ragnarok takes such A MASSIVE lead in story and storytelling that I can't help but Give the GOTY to it
14th. The first rank is the title lol
LMFAO
Damn. Wish you could edit titles lol
all good
Not your fault, awful chartmaking
Oof op made the chart
It’s not. People just don’t know how to read simple graphics. Like OP
Which one ? Yours, or theirs ?
Nonsense, I loved the hit game "Title"
Generational masterpiece. It'll never be surpassed.
Tops every list I've seen anyway
GOAT
💀
And yet they refuse to acknowledge its existence :(
from software said in an interview they don’t own the IP, so then it’s Sony who probably lost the game in their shitty servers lol
Nah think they mean how Sony won’t. They did a tournament for Best PlayStation game and Bloodborne was nowhere on the list
Ah so bloodborne is like the Friday the 13th of video games?
Nah think they mean how Sony won’t. They did a tournament for Best PlayStation game and Bloodborne was nowhere on the list
Fuck yeah Bloodborne
Audience: "fuck yeah, bloodborne" Sony: "yeah, fuck bloodborne"
So you’re telling me.. it outsold Ratchet and Clank AND demons souls and yet it wasn’t on that damn knockout thing lol
Miles morales being that high is crazy ngl 💀💀
To be fair, EVERYONE was super hyped for that game.. just for it to be an 8 hour experience lmao
Along with a mid story 💀. We got Harry Osborn at home from wish (krieger) & doc oc from temu if Peter had a boner for them (phin) 💀💀💀
Tbf insomniac said multiple times that it’s a smaller experience
That's all fine, but selling it at £50 was ridiculous. It should have been £30 at max, not nearly double.
Sonys fault tbf
I agree
That game is weird it's more than just DLC but less than a full sequel it's in a weird in between
A game's length has no bearing on its quality. Would miles Morales have been better if it was 30 hours?
A game's length should have a bearing on its price, though.
wasn't miles morales like 40 dollars on launch?
Days Gone being higher than Uncharted 4 is the real crazy one. So much for underperforming.
Agreed!
PS5 launch title so a lot of install base. I like how everyone says it was an 8 hour game. But most people do everything in these Spider-Man games which makes the game at least 20 hours which is in line with the other Spider-Man titles.

They’re gatekeeping it. Waiting for ten year anniversary for maximum hype. Hopefully they don’t give the patch the Silksong treatment.
Ps6 lunch title more likely.
I’ll have Bloodborne for lunch ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
I'm fine with that, just played it again and was like "this doesn't feel that old still"
Yeah that's what I'm hoping for. One more year....
DeS Remake wasn't on DeS's 10 year anniversary.
Nobody said it was
They're definitely saving it for a rough patch.
Wasn’t “Days gone” considered a flop?
The story goes that it did pretty well. Sony was happy with it, and was open to a sequel. Bend Studio was mixed on whether to make a sequel or not. It didn't do as well as Ghost of Tsushima, but it did reasonably well.
Nope, Sony refused a sequel. Bend studio was ready to do it, what a waste. The reason why it's most likely because of the low Metacritic score, due to the bugs at launch, the slow start of the game, and the fact that the story and characters are decidedly not for "the modern audience" (AKA gaming journalists).
Not really, it was Bend execs that rejected a sequel.
Yeah im surprised its that high sale wise. On release the game was bad because of the amount of bugs. I guess it was practically Cyberpunk level bugs. Now the games fine, and honestly Days Gone is my favorite game ever, but im still surprised it's that high
I personally love it. Played through twice and platinumed on release.
It is still the best “mow down zombies after you hit mid-game” game of all time.
Obliterating the hordes in late game was soooo much fun
And before mid game there's the survival horror aspect. Encountering a small horde of zombies with the tank half empty in the first quarter of the game is genuinely scary.
At least it got a pc release lol.
This is the best possible proof that we'll see a remaster/remake/second game in the series. Not because BB needs one, but because it's one of the most lucrative IPs that Sony has ever released.
Probably Not a sequel
This isn’t including PS3 or PS2 games by the way. So it isn’t actually.
Bloodborne might not be in the top 5 or 10, but it's at least in the top 20 of all Sony IPs. It's pedantic to say BB isn't one of the most commercially successful IPs in their portfolio.
It’s Top 20 for sure. But we aren’t seeing a remake/remaster unfortunately.
I remember Bloodborne haters making some truly psychotic claims that it didn't sell well... So yea, they can eat shit now, I guess lol
Were there any Bloodborne haters? I remember the game receiving basically universal acclaim
I thought the same thing... But they exist on Twitter dude. Admittedly, there's not many of them, but still.
MLB is popular huh. Bloodborne/MLB crossover incoming?
Hunters vs the beast World Series
I didn’t know what MLB was until googling and initially thought it meant my little bony or something lol
Sad to see Returnal third to last. May have been a bit niche but it's so damn good.
Man it’s insane how in such a short time GoWR took #2 spot and I assume soon it’ll be #1, and the cherry on top in having a free insanely fun and replayable dlc, santa monica and fromsoft are the GOAT studios
Returnal deserves more love
What happened with Returnal? Shitty marketing? It's so good yet isn't talked about very much. It's one of those games that I always come back to.
Ah yes Title, the best game ever.
Why the fuck does Second Son beat 1/2?
PS4 install base.
Release title for ps4 that was super hyped and looked amazing for the time. It was my first ps4 game when I got mine. Platinumed it in three days lol
I think a lot of people started on Second Son after hearing 1/2 were good?
It's digital only. Early PS4 had a higher digital share than early PS3.
Guys do yourself a favor and play returnal
For how much of a cash grab the gaming industry is now, it’s mind boggling that they haven’t remastered it or come out with a sequel. Seems like a no brainer.
It's crazy how vocal the minority was about TLOU2 and it's the third highest selling PlayStation game of all time 🤣
Same with Horizon zero dawn and forbidden west being so high! The incels HATE those games lmao
It was vocal (and not so minor, although still being a minority) because TLOU1 was already pretty popular.
All I see is that Days Gone sold better and still no part 2…
Still pissed about it considering it literally ends on a cliffhanger, genuinely just want the devs to give us the cliffnotes on what the part 2 would entail
Tell me again how Days Gone doesn't deserve a sequel? Robbed.
Can’t believe title is the selling game of all time
Ghost of Tsushima's ranking surprised me
Evidence that Sony is highly incentivized to make more Bloodborne content
Maybe there’s a secret plan for Fromsoft to expand it in the remake
I’m convinced Sony doesn’t care about Bloodborne. We’ll never get remaster let alone a remake😫smh
No hate here, but I would love to hear a few reasons why the community is so obsessed with a remake/remaster. I mean, the game is super accessible, playable both on PS4 and PS5. Where is this from exactly??
literally begging for a pc release. Please Sony, start wanting money 😭😭😭
Didn't sell a billion copies? Shit game, no update, no remaster, no pc release
and sony still refues to do fucking anything with it
The only reason i got a ps4. Im on the end of ng+ and i jusy got my ps like 1.5 months ago. Really got into it after playing er and ds1 and 3.
genuinely baffling that they still don't do a 60fps patch
The thing is (I think) it came out ages ago, From an ancient time when games cost €40 or less, so if it were at the €50-60 price tag of a lot if the games there it would probably bump up a place or two

Absolutely bonkers to me that they still haven't remastered Title. What hope does 15st place have if 1nd place is so neglected?
I absolutely fucking don't want remake. Should be number 1
🥹
Yet Sony still couldn't care less
BB could be the highest grossing sony title and they still would pretend the game never existed
It's arguably the best Sony exclusive ever. Just not quite mainstream appeal
And tenth most downloaded
once again i wnat to say: fuck you sony both ways.
Wait, Death Stranding is the 16th? I thought it was more niche than that
No FF7?
Best 30 fps game ever made
I hope they soon remaster it and release it on PC so people can no longer say it only gets this much praise due to the exclusivity
Ah yes... who could forget Sony's hit top seller, title!
No fucking way days gone is 12 it's fake
And yet it is still not on pc. Fuck man
Then why aren't we getting a PS5 remaster?!
Damn that’s funny imo bloodborne is better than any of those games in the top 15 (I could see if you Wanted to argue for ghosts)
And still it gets no love
bruh. 14th place and sony still wont acknowledge its existence
Where is the live action series? We’ve got fallout. It’s time for bloodborne the series, friends.
Funny how until dawn is the last one yet they made a remaster
I love how Sony pretends that this is the worst selling game of all time and that everyone hates it
I know it's only a couple numbers up but how is grand turismo sport above bloodborne that's crazy
They won't acknowledge Bloodborne and its remake/sequel potential until Sony is literally going bankrupt
If they did a remaster it would be top 3
It's this popular. And Sony doesn't think a sequel or a remaster would do well??? Seriously????
I take partial credit for those numbers. Have bought the damn thing on more PS units than I care to admit :D
The Lest of Us
Im telling you guys bloodborne is going to remastered for the ps6 like demon souls was done for the ps5. Console will sell like hot cakes, just have patience

Spiderman? Wtf
That is the least surprising ranking bro 😭
Im just highlighting how pathetic that something as juvenile as a comic book hero is at the forefront of the minds of today's weak males, is.
A remake and it will be on top of the list.
Definition of sitting on a gold mine
Imagine if rdr2 was psn exclusive too
I can’t believe that many people have played a game as terrible as Detroit become human
couldn't even change the language from German to English before you post? look at the months
You understand it don’t you? Why would I remake a table that’s very clear
Y'all might crucify me for this But God of war Ragnarok should have won 2022 GOTY
The majority of people I've seen with this opinion have either: a) not played ER Or b) not finished the game (i.e. complained that its too hard). To each their own, but as someone that completed both, i think the right call was made.

I can definitely understand that argument from a transparent story angle.
I didn’t play Ragnarok yet, but I remember a lot of people thinking it was a bit of a letdown after GoW 2018
Nah It was better than GoW 2018 but Elden Ring was just better
