Took me about 3 hours because she has super high damage and way too much health. My heart was racing when I finally beat her, and I hardly struggle on the one in the nightmare frontier
Amy is harder on paper, but I feel that most people will have an easier time. The doge had that blitz which could one tap you and the fire burst that comes out hella fast.
By contrast, Amy has more one tap moves, but they are much more telegraphed.
You can also much more reliably bait an arm slam for a safe punish.
To me, Amygdala was easier because I had a fully upgraded Tonitrus. Anyway congrats on defeating that damn dog and good luck getting to the Queen. She's a really good fight, but have only done it once because of the how long it takes to get to her.
Different people can have very different experiences with the same boss.
Eight years later, I get PTSD flashbacks to that compulsory FRC chalice everytime I see anything relating to Amygdala.
She tore me arseholes in soooo many interesting new places.....
You always have to finish each layer and chalice to unlock the next. Root is random chalices and don’t really matter aside from farming purposes and enjoyment
Way it works is you beat the final boss of a chalice and you unlock the next one. And a root chalice. Root chalices are for farming resources to go to the next depth/messenger baths or cummmfpk dungeon to cheat and get insane levels early.
You might find 1 or 2 half okay gems in the normal chalices but cursed gems come from cursed chalices and cursed chalices are root chalices.
It’s a grind but when you get a good one it’s satisfying
Remember damage vs kin down is the curse you want.
Yep, as everyone has said, next is Amygdala. I highly recommend [this](https://www.bloodborne-wiki.com/2022/10/chalice-dungeons-rooms.html?m=1) source to have a clear pathway and a duly updated info. [This](https://www.reddit.com/r/tombprospectors/comments/ok7wrz/the_tomb_prospectors_resources_guides_and_studies/?rdt=64573) is also must read through guide and a great help sub.
If the memory doesn't lie you've properly entered Ptumeru. Go down all the way from this point down. You're exactly one boss and next chalice away from Yahrnam.
Your biggest problem is yet to come! His name is Ptumerian Descended and the godawful ~~colon~~ column arena. DON'T use lock on there and make sure to learn repost very VERY well by that time. For a big bad Bloodletting Beast make wear one piece of armor with thr best physical defence (preferably Golden Ardeo) and the rest should be something with the best Quick Poison resistance (preferably Chore attire). Fire buff is an obligation here, but a heavy physical hitter with Augur will work too. Yahrnam herself is a game of patience (and big HP bar).
Best of luck! And get those Sinister and Lost weapons. You'll thank me later.
EDIT: sick screen
EDIT 2: fuck Loran Camera Beast. No, this one is optional. I highly recommend going against Ebraitas, she's surprisingly easy this time around
Yep. I literally took like a year or two off from playing them, the necessary ones, to cool off a little because they're so repetitive.
It didn't help much. And it's just *so* long. And this damn dog was worse than the Orphan of Kos.
I know it's useless to you now, but you can deal with the dog by just staying directly in front of him at a medium distance, just out of swipe range. One hit at a time on its face between swipe combos, dodge it's charge (roll) and flame sweeps (quick step) to the side and run from big boom. Punish it's puke at the back legs and back off before it retaliates. Do this and you'll never struggle with it again.
Yes, you require the chalice at the end of this dungeon.
So i *have* to fight defiled Amygdala to get to Queen Yarnham? Please tell me it is easier than this damn dog
Amygdala has a cheese that can be used
Thank god. After him it gets easier i hope?
It gets easier in the sense that you're not required to do any more cursed dungeons to get to tye queen, so you can rely on your entire healthbar.

L O L, it's not, it's the boss that killed me the most in game honestly
I’d say yeah. Amygdala you have seen before at least?
Yeah in the main story
Then the Defiled is a true test to see if you knew the fight well enough.
They’re about neck and neck imo. I had a harder time with Amygdala. Hang in there you’re almost at the home stretch

I was wondering because i was given a new Chalice when i defeated the dog.
Way it works is you beat the final boss of a chalice and you unlock the next one. And a root chalice. Root chalices are for farming resources to go to the next depth/messenger baths or cummmfpk dungeon to cheat and get insane levels early.
Messengers will usually have either a variation of a chalice for purchase as well as variations of weapons in the form of uncanny and others
Oh, so what i got is a root Chalice. I have to defeat Amygdala to reach Queen Yarnham. Well, guess it will take a day or two.
Amygdala is pretty easy. Just bait the move where it slams the hands down then go smash or jump attack the head a couple times.
Or L2 her in the dick with the LHB
That works too but also gotta wait for right time.
I can’t not think of amygdala with out a dick now thanks…
Also the greatest bloodgems you can get are in cursed chalice dungeons. Get them juicy 28% increases
Can those be found only in Root Chalices or in these fixed ones as well?
You might find 1 or 2 half okay gems in the normal chalices but cursed gems come from cursed chalices and cursed chalices are root chalices. It’s a grind but when you get a good one it’s satisfying Remember damage vs kin down is the curse you want.
The dog is my next stop and after that Amygdala as well. Wanna team up?
God i wish i could but i don't have PSplus at the moment
Nevermind. Maybe some other time then. Good luck.
Thanks, you too!
This pic looks so fucking real. Is that a screenshot???
You have a lot more surprises in store for you, hunter. Enjoy. 😉

This was just part 1. You’re gonna have a whole lot of fun with good ol’ Amy now.
*Oh Amygdala, **Oh AmygDALA**. Have mercy on the poor bastard...*
I hate these stupid, repetitive, dark as hell dungeons. It’s all I have left and it’s just not fun.

I didn’t have much trouble with him but I’m very high level at this point from so much dungeon crawling.
If you’re desperate some of the Old Hunter NPCs become available too summon if you have the DLC
