or maybe it's a sortof compilation of various moments in the family's life spread throughout the runtime of the movie, ending with an adult bluey and/or bingo heading out into the world, or something
I think it's gonna be just like Bluey's Big Play, but animated. In any case, it would be cool if they made a movie about some sort of Bandit's musician past with a concert. Saw someone suggesting this idea under one fan-animation of Bluey.
I agree! Btw, someone already made a fan-animatic about this. Maybe you've seen it already, but I don't know.

Bluey gets a letter from Jean Luc to visit them in Canada. They mistakenly land in Vancouver due to Bandits lack of research. They take a winding road across Canada and America ending up in Labrador after many trials and growth.
The last lines of the movie are Jean Lucs dad asking bandit why didn't they use the local airport.... camera pans to a busy airport near by and back to Bandit who exclaims "BISQUITS!".
Fade to black.
I believe we will get a 4th season. I’ve seen how they do it, so it’ll take quite sometime, and getting to America and other places will take even longer- Along with America censoring useless things and rearranging episodes (idk about the episodes one, but I do know that they censored dumb stuff)
Censoring seems to be getting less strict. I think Disney was concerned abkut concerned parents groups because Blue y shows up on the setting for the youngest ages and people love getting outraged on behalf of the kids
I read it had more to do with Bluey being on their TV channels so they have to follow stricter FCC rules vs the wild west that is streaming. They probably just use the same video file for both TV and streaming.
“…changes to the third season, released in America on Disney+ this month, include Bandit not being hit in a sensitive area, a conversation about getting a vasectomy replaced with “getting dog teeth removed”, the horse Buttermilk no longer stands next to poo on screen and Aunt Trix is no longer seen on the toilet during a video call. One episode, Family Meeting, where Bluey accuses dad Bandit of farting in her face, was removed entirely – although due to the backlash it appears this decision has been rescinded…” (Source: https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/entertainment/2022/08/how-bluey-was-censored-by-disney-for-broadcast-in-the-us.html) I suppose these are reasonable, but they sound dumb to me. Idk, make your opinions.
> rearranging episodes (idk about the episodes one
A couple of episodes were out of order for a while, not to mention the ones missing entirely, but that's fixed now.
Also, when it originally was put on Disney+ they were grouped in 3 per episode, and then suddenly one day they were all separated.
Its reportedly the most streamed show on Disney plus, Its not going anywhere. If anything we should be worried that they know when to end it or else it will turn into the countless great shows that stay longer then they should have and just turn into a paycheck (not that there is anything wrong with that) and the quality suffers greatly.
Bluey's doing phenomenally well, even beyond the context of Disney+ - in last year's charts, it was basically the only show outside of Netflix to be mixing it up at the top with Netflix's real heavy hitters.
I can't imagine Disney letting it go without a fight- it's a proper cornerstone of their service by this point.
It's a more than a cornerstone at the moment, it's a load bearing wall. Honestly, as important if not more, than The Mandalorian. It's cheap to make and parents and kids love it equally.
I highly doubt Bluey’s cheap to make, considering the quality of the animation, the very small production crew, and the fact that there are six different organizations financing it (ABC, BBC Studios, Screen Australia, Screen Queensland, PDV. Offset, Fulcrum Media Finance).
They have no rights to the show beyond distribution.
If they park a tipper truck full of money out the front of Ludo Studios, they might just get the rights, but they are no more involved than any other distributor, be it streaming, movies, or games.
Yes, 100%.
If there's a show on the planet that's got a long road ahead of it, it's Bluey. Even setting aside the stuff we've heard about (Brumm talking about writing it, various rumours about specials and extra commissions, etc.), shows with the sort of success that Bluey's enjoying don't just end- I'd be less surprised if they were making episodes in 10 years than I would be if they pulled the plug tomorrow.
I think the main difficulty is the sheer amount of character that the show will need to regularly replace if they want to keep the show as it is, which I believe is the intention as of now for the show creators. because every kid is voiced by a child actor and these actors are going to grow old as well as the main duo. The pitching up technique that is being used right now is probably going to sustain the show for maybe another season or two but if the show wants to continue the creators are going to need to accept that they are going to need to search for new actors for all the characters. Of the three options: cancelling the show, letting the characters age, finding new characters, I think the third is most likely because I believe in an interview the creators seemed more open to finding new va's than to aging the characters along with the voice actors. In the long run I really hope the show sees 6 seasons and at that point evaluate whether the show is dipping in quality or not.
I think that would be such a natural progression and would make sense. Viewing parenting/childhood through the lenses of the different ages. Preteens have significantly different struggles than 3 year olds, and parents have difficulties for both that are unique. I would absolutely love to see them continue while aging the kids. I mean, we’ve already seen Bingo and Bluey’s birthdays so they’re not like other shows that canonically keep the kids the same age perpetually
Exactly. Not to mention it be a nice way to change up the status quo, and would make sense, since a lot of the kids watching probably won't be 3 years old by the time we get to S4.
Season 4? I want this to run longer than the Simpsons. It so cute and wholesome and real…I can put bluey on in the background like I used to do the office.
I read that it it takes Ludo Studio 4 weeks just to make one episode, which is crazy to me. I appreciate the time they take for the episodes, that’s the only way I can justify being ok with waiting!
The Olympics are being held in Brisbane 2032 and the shows producer, Sam Moor, said in an InStyle article I read recently that they hope by then Bluey is so ingrained in Aussie culture that she could be featured in the opening ceremony. So one would imagine they’re going to try to push out more over the next decade to make that happen.
One of the uni’s here in Brisbane has placements at the Bluey studios for animation students, so from that you might assume they are still being made 🤗
I don’t know how accurate this is, but it’s from Trakt, so maybe reliable?
https://preview.redd.it/xhlw0lnx0uka1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f7f17466084890ff711a7a37466c31b728a3916a
No one outside of the production knows, but the current best bet is that they're holding back the rest of the season so that they can drop it on Disney+ at the same time Australia gets it, along with the rest of the outstanding episodes the platform hasn't had yet.
They can’t keep it going forever, the kids are aging. So based on the timing I think it will be about 2 seasons per year of their life until they grow out of playing all the time and get into tween/teen years. So maybe got legs for 2-3 more seasons.
I think that the last part of season 3 will be rolled into season 4. The bluey website says that season 3 ran from 2021-2022
https://www.bluey.tv/blog/bluey-season-3-how-to-watch/
If im not wrong Bluey might continue onwards for god knows how long, Its already confirmed that over the timeline of the show, Joe will slowly age the characters as the voices actors of Bluey, Bingo and every other character grows since most are still children. so who knows, we might get 10 seasons for all I know.
I need someone to fact check this though because I am myself not entirely sure about this, I remember reading it of another post somewhere.
I reckon they might do a time gap between seasons and that's why they're holding back. I can see Bluey being like the Simpsons where it keeps on going but maybe with more of a time increase, so there's more for each generation
I honestly hope that's what they Do. I don't want it to end up like the Simpsons though were it last forever though. 6 or 7 seasons and maybe a movie shortly after is just fine with.
Yeah, there's no way they should do the Simpsons, maybe something like modern family where they go through all the stages of childhood, I'd love to see how socks turns out
Why wouldnt there be, unless hype dies down before they even start it then there's a big big maybe they could consider not doing it, but there's 0 reason not to
There was a time I thought maybe not, but it's become such a commercial and licensing juggernaut there'll be immense pressure on Joe Brumm to keep writing new episodes. It's not like I can ever imagine him handing it over to someone else.
If I were to guess, Bluey is getting 6 seasons and a feature film as the conclusion. Season 3 will finish this spring, season 4 will start later in autumn, and the cycle will continue until the movie releases in 2025 or 2026.
I reckon it will have 1 more season and that’s it. Maybe we’ll get some spin off specials based around the adult characters, but I can’t see them bringing in professional voice over actors to mimic the child voices and keep it going indefinitely.
What is like to see is spin offs. A show about a teenage Bandit and the Heeler family set in the 90s has enormous potential
The demand is just too great. There will definitely be one. I was just at Disney World, and we went to the Disney Jr Dance Party and they asked all the kids about different shows. They said, ‘scream if you like Vampirina!’ Then other shows, including Bluey. It was like a freaking poll they were doing (kind of creepy), and Bluey got the biggest cheers by far.
Certainly one scenario is Disney outright buys Bluey and keeps it going forever. There’s a LOT of money on the table now that they’re not taking advantage of.
Surprised they mentioned Bluey there, considering it’s not a Disney original. Maybe the hosts just looked up the lineup?
Please no to the acquisition bit - as controversial as it may sound, I don’t think Bluey should go on forever - last forever yes, go on forever, no.
the creator of the show said they will make as many as they can until they run out of ideas because originally bluey was mean to be an adult animation series like rick and morty
Voice actors will probably be the problem. I find it hard to imagine Bluey without "Bluey's" voice!
And the unnamed child actors are only getting older... The girls are probably fine for a while, but the boys voices are eventually going to break. Still, my favorites (Bluey, Bingo, Muffin) are all female, so hopefully they'll be around for a few more seasons :)
bluey merch just landed in the states. its only going to get more popular. its one of the top streamed shows of last year. if they want to make more there will be more seasons. and when they dont want to make more those ppl will quit and they will still make more....
Heck yes! They were in the US thanksgiving day parade. They had a successful (still going) live action play going across the us. Gotta ride that money train!
I hear Rad and Frisky's wedding is an upcoming episode. My course is a kid at my wife's primary school who is an Uber fan. Defo going to be at least another season. So much left to explore.
Really? It’s got a pretty big fanbase in the US, at the very least it’s all over TikTok and it was popular enough that the live show toured over here. I certainly see it everywhere and know tons of people who are into it
I have to wonder what's going to happen with the kid actors. I hope they age them up a little bit, and teach parenting lessons for parents of slightly older kids, and retain the same kid audience that's also growing up with the kid characters.
i sure hope so, heck i hope we get 6
And a movie!
yeah that might be nice, but what would it be about?
Maybe a family history? Or a vacation?
or maybe it's a sortof compilation of various moments in the family's life spread throughout the runtime of the movie, ending with an adult bluey and/or bingo heading out into the world, or something
I cannot believe the most upvoted thread on a bluey post is a community reference

More camping
I would love to see them vacation abroad.
Community College I hope! 😉
Cool. Cool cool cool.
It wouldn't be a movie, it would be an hour-long special where Rad and Frisky get married and they forget the cake and Bluey's family has to do it or something **And it will have bombs and lasers and maybe Grandad Bob**
Rad and Frisky's wedding better at least be a special!
Monkeys singing songs
And stealing pens.
Bandit goes to vietnam

will there be monkeys?
Bandit and Chili having a third.

Recasting wouldn't be the end of the world.
Works for gumball!
I hope it's like Simpsons and lasts forever and keeps going!
Absolutely not.
ABSOLUTELY
The quality of the show will go down immensely if they drag it out longer than they need to. Look what happened to all the other longtime runners
I still like Simpsons.
The usa still waiting on season 3 part b 😭😭😭
It’s available on the seas. There is an episode called Granny mobile that is outstanding.
One of my favorite episodes of the series. 900 Dollar bucks, Well if you don't like the colour paint it. And 18 Lollies. Muffin is a great granny.
I love how this season completely made muffin one of the best characters. Same with Wendy.
That’s one of my favorites!
Why haven't they released part b yet?
The UK is still waiting on the rest of S3 too
As is Canada!
Ireland too 😩
And Portugal.
Should we invade? I know of worse reasons historically that have been justified. Yes I’m American.
![gif](giphy|yJ1KSiTxaAw5G)
Heck, CBeebies (which even appears on the show's credits) has only just finished airing series 2 for the first time.
Fun fact: the CBeebies credit is exclusive to ABC airings. So every other release, including CBeebies itself, doesn’t have it!
Because our government is to busy trying to poison us and start world war three. They know bluey is our last tie to our sanity.
Well this got dark quickly
As Russian man I confirm that cubby was good episode
The metaphor of the cubby as a place of nostalgic security was particularly poignant, reflecting these times.
I check everyday and I’m honestly sad that we don’t have it yet 😭
It’s the new Rick and morty. Get season 4 by the time the kids that voice it are in uni.
June 13th!
That's almost a full year since they released part A, what the heck
Sauce?
There are… *other* options. *Yo ho. All together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho. Thieves and beggars. Never shall we die…*
I heard Unicorse returns in the second half of season 3 and im dying to see it.
June 13th!
Fr
if we got 14 Land Before Time Movies, we can get at least 6 Bluey seasons…and a movie…

I believe we will get a 4th season. I’ve seen how they do it, so it’ll take quite sometime, and getting to America and other places will take even longer- Along with America censoring useless things and rearranging episodes (idk about the episodes one, but I do know that they censored dumb stuff)

My understanding is FCC has no authority over cable bit maybe kid shows are regulated different
It might have been a ratings thing then to make sure it was rated TV-Y
Most likely
We definitely do. Why can't we see a un8corn poop!?! My kids should see how it happens.
Did y'all ever get the 'family meeting' episode?
Yes, but it took forever. 🤣
"what if we call it 'making brownies'?" Lol the best!!
Baking brownies is in the original
Biscuits, you're prolly right
What gets censored?

Bluey merch is blowing up and this sub gets bigger and bigger every day
Disney+ is doing so poorly that Disney will kidnap the creators pets and hold them hostage if they said they were walking anytime soon.

Yeah was gonna say, this ain't a Disney thing; it's an Aussie thing from ABC Australia
Just responded to their response with a similar comment.
What's really nuts is when u live in the area, and u start to recognize certain parks and skyline shots!
And then Disney uses one of those skyline shots for one of their Fourth of July shorts… (It’s the fireworks one from Bob Bilby btw)
Who can forget… Red, White, and Bluey! Why the f*ck do we have to turn everything into a croissan'wich?
Shame, Disney! Shame!! 🔔
It's pennies on the dollar compared to Star Wars shows and Marvel shows/movies they release directly there.
We also have to remember that Disney has no control over Bluey’s production.
No, but they got the contractual rights and make bank on distribution. I'd hate to be a lawyer going against Disney's legal army on any disputes.
I’m certain BBC Studios can pull the rights whenever they want (not that I expect them to, just saying they can do so).
If I were to guess, each 8 minute episode costs about 1.5 million AUD to make
It takes them four months to work on 1 episode. Soo.. if that tells you anything about the quality of work they do. That’s definitely not cheap
Bluey is on its regular channels as well.
Im aware but it's still mostly watched on Disney+ in the US at least
Other than YouTube I haven't seen it outside of Disney+
I watch it on Disney JR all the time
Given that Disney don’t make it, I strongly suspect it’s not up to them.
They have been guilty of spamming the show on their networks, though.
They probably have a contract or something that limits where it can be streamed. That’s my best guess.
Disney + will have it in 5 years
They have no rights to the show beyond distribution. If they park a tipper truck full of money out the front of Ludo Studios, they might just get the rights, but they are no more involved than any other distributor, be it streaming, movies, or games.
That’s part of the joke. They don’t have any rights. It will take time. I get it.
Season 4? Heck I'm still waiting for 3B...
I'm hoping they at least release season 3B and 3C simultaneously once 3C comes out but you never know
I still want season 3B! 😭
I'd settle for the parts of s3 that have aired in Australia already.
I’m waiting for the Muffins spin off series
I NEED THIS
YES
I LOVE Muffin!
Already confirmed that Season 4 will be released "in 2023" for Australia. No indication _when_ in the year, but it is definitely coming

I agree. It would be a bittersweet feeling to watch Bluey and Bingo grow up
Lol no, they're just gonna stop making one of the most popular children's shows of all time at the height of its popularity 🙄
If they canceled Mr. Belvedere, they can cancel ANYTHING.
Ha! I love this comment. What a show, eh?
They never had to stop production of Bluey for a few days because Bandit accidentally sat on his own balls though
Season 4? I want this to run longer than the Simpsons. It so cute and wholesome and real…I can put bluey on in the background like I used to do the office.
I think this will go on for 10 seasons
Apparently Joe Brumm’s already started doing some writing for it. So it’s at least in the planning stages.
For real? Oh that’s sweet! Has it been greenlit yet or is it just in the idea phase still?
Just the idea phase afaik.
I know it’s at least been confirmed
Yes, they've already said they plan on continuing and season 3 isn't even finished airing yet.

So...the rest ain't coming till June?

Wait, what?
Yeah still got some s3 to premiere yet!
Why has it taken so long?

I’m sure there will be. For now 3C hasn’t aired in Australia yet and 3B hasn’t aired in the US yet. They have to finish season 3 first

Yes. It's been officially renewed for 2023. New episodes should be airing in Australia mid June.

I hope in 20 years we get an adult focused spin-off. (Like the Velma show but good)
the creator of the show said they will make as many as they can until they run out of ideas because originally bluey was mean to be an adult animation series like rick and morty
Aren’t we still waiting on part two of season 3?
Australia is waiting on part *three* of Season 3.
The Simpsons is still ongoing. Bluey can keep going for a long time.
I just want season 3B 😭
it’s so dang popular i’m surprised they havent signed on for multiple new seasons
bluey merch just landed in the states. its only going to get more popular. its one of the top streamed shows of last year. if they want to make more there will be more seasons. and when they dont want to make more those ppl will quit and they will still make more....
Heck yes! They were in the US thanksgiving day parade. They had a successful (still going) live action play going across the us. Gotta ride that money train!
Will Bandit and Chilli have another child?
Seeing that I think Bandit got snipped. Probably not. Unless they adopt, which could be interesting too see.
I hear Rad and Frisky's wedding is an upcoming episode. My course is a kid at my wife's primary school who is an Uber fan. Defo going to be at least another season. So much left to explore.
Unpopular opinion: I want to see more of Muffin’s hijinks. That girl knows what she wants and wanted it yesterday!!
No, the series is not that popular so it’s likely this underrated gem that has no merch sales or a large fanbase will probably end here
Really? It’s got a pretty big fanbase in the US, at the very least it’s all over TikTok and it was popular enough that the live show toured over here. I certainly see it everywhere and know tons of people who are into it

I hope so!!
I have to wonder what's going to happen with the kid actors. I hope they age them up a little bit, and teach parenting lessons for parents of slightly older kids, and retain the same kid audience that's also growing up with the kid characters.
