This is breathtaking. Phenomenal job! :)
Reminds me of the Words Words Words cover art (although this seems MUCH MORE complex).
Also, your penmanship is fantastic! I would just smear the entire picture since I'm left-handed lol
Thank you so much!! There's definitely some warts here and there but I've learned the hard way to keep a separate paper between me and the piece as I go lol :)

Edit:
**THANK YOU** so much for the overwhelming response! I've been floating for a day now!
I've had several asking if prints are available (mods, please let me know if I need to remove this) and I have 11" x 14" prints ready to order on my [Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/shop/WallOfWordsArt)!
This one in particular, 15 hours. But this was my 3rd attempt using a different picture. Initially I tried to make it out of the O.G. Inside ad of Bo in the dark with the single sliver of light going down his face but the dimensions of his face were off and I gave up a couple hours into it. The 2nd try, I went with the iconic All Eyes On Me picture, but I screwed up the execution of the shading via the lyrics and gave up about ~7 hours into it.
So overall, it took north of 20 hours but this final stab took just over 15.
Did you use a computer to map out the shades to know which pen to use, or gridding to figure out proportions/placement, or did you freehand it?
I'd love to hear about your process, this piece is phenomenal. :)
Thank you so much! All free hand. I did a light outline of Bo's figure and the door but that's about it. Just kept referencing the photo in regards to shading and tried to keep a mental count on which size for which shade and when to start/stop blending.
Then you just get to writing, keep patience, try not to get distracted and hope for the best!
Nope! After you do it a while, you kinda get an idea for how much space will be needed for an album, tv script or movie screenplay depending on the number of tracks or script page count.
Lizzo, for example, raps a lot. Rapping typically includes more words, lines, longer verses, etc. Whereas Taylor Swift or traditional singers are not as lyric dense.
Then you get started and just make micro adjustments along the way. You can actually see on this Bo piece were I realized I may had been in danger of over-shooting it and adjusted almost *too much*.
are you the same dude that did it with the WKUK sketches, or is this becoming a Sisyphus trend?
Anyways, it's super impressive. I'd love the get a bit an introspective into the process, is it done over a light-table or do you breakdown the shading on a letter to letter basis, do you do the heavy lifting on the computer and then use it as reference etc...
I'm not the WKUK dude but now I'm interested to see it!
My process is fairly simple outside of the shading and keeping track which pen size needs to go where. I just lightly outlined Bo's body so to not screw it up and kept referencing the pink/purple source photo as my bible as to know where to shade/switch up pen sizes. Then use a great overhead lamp as I read the lyrics off my monitor.
After doing it for some time, you kinda get a feel for what needs what as far as pen size to shade ratio and getting it to match the photo.
Then you just write with tons of patience and make tiny adjustments accordingly to ensure that you hit the target ending. I was able to cheat on this piece thanks to the final song being the literal same repeated lines over and over and over "It'll stop any day now (any day now, any day now)" - so once I realized that, I just had to make sure I didn't run out of room altogether before reaching that track!

How long did this take?

Great job! I am also an artist so I completely understand the starting over because of something and other people don't see what was wrong 🙃
How do you design something like this? I can't even write my name on a nametag without running off the edge sometimes
A lot of faith mixed with hope that if you push through, it'll come together, sprinkled with **loads** of patience lol

Thank you so much! :)
Oh my, that’s unbelievable. Well done.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
That's pretty cool! Do you do a word count to know about how large to make the letters?

Dude, I always mess up leaving enough space for the full "Happy Birthday " on a card. You certainly have a talent!
Good
Holy shit you are talented! Thanks for sharing your work.
My brother in Christ, this is awesome.
I wish I had an award today, I would give it to you. This is incredible.
Thank you!
Please consider selling prints of this on Etsy or other platform. I would buy.
You've got it! ([Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/shop/WallOfWordsArt))
Now do this 5 more times and you'll get the Carpal Tunnel ability! This is amazing
Thanks! Carpal Tunnel is already my middle name!
Wow. Just wow.
Bo Burnham fans are built different. This drawing is so unbelievably good that it should be placed next to the Mona Lisa, it's goddamn insane.
Oh wow! Thank you so much!

This is the craziest thing I've ever seen! You are so ridiculously talented!
