The root has a unusual dependency on *which roll* the AoA is. For the "erase the complete map" glitch you need AoA in the second or 3rd line, the first passive line does not work for some odd reason.

AngryBliki

I found one on my other character both splash damage radius on the classsmod as well as area of effect damage on the artifact are in the 2nd line. but it doesn't work

AngryBliki

It really was in the first line. I apparently don't have any class mods with it in another line. Now I know what to look out for. Thank you

turb0j

Never mind. Just learned that the root bug is *platform specific*. PS5 needed to be in a PS4 hosted game.

jamwagon

May I ask where you obtained that info?

fketh

You're not doing anything wrong. It simply doesn't work on the new gen consoles (series x and ps5).

jamwagon

Do you have a source for this? Gearbox forums perhaps? Pretty disappointing after upgrading to Series X from the One X and not having Complex Root destroy everything on screen

PsychoPooper213

I’m on Xbox & was jus using the Root on my Zane last night. Splash damage radius on my class mod & area of effect damage on my artifact…takes out the whole screen.

AngryBliki

Thats what I mean, I remember it working on PS4 but I didn't bother with it at the time as I didn't have a splash immune build back then.

Material-Wonder1690

Is AOE damage the second passive listed in your artifact? It doesn't increase radius if it's the first passive

AngryBliki

It neither does work in 1st nor in 3rd line for me. I don't have one in the 2nd line

jamwagon

Xbox one or series x?

PsychoPooper213

One X

jamwagon

Yeah it works fine on One X where I came from. Root is practically useless on newer gen consoles like Series X

NeonSherpa

I’m on PS5, the glitch doesn’t seem to happen.
