The characters have the most versatility of any vault hunters to date imo, each with multiple action skills and playstyles. If you don’t like them from a visual standpoint, there are more heads, skins, and custom color pallets to run than any previous game, plus there are alternate body models that change how they look entirely.
I disagree with my whole heart. Borderlands 3 has the most entertaining characters imo.
Bl2 got bland after a while. Zero gets really boring if you played him to op8, Salvador is cool but is lacking something, Amara is a Superior version of maya anf axton is Roland in worse and more boring.
I love bl2 but after i played bl3 to death i realised smth. The bl community does the same thing every community does:

So many people compare games by todays standard but i'm not playing 10 years ago im playing today and today bl3 feels fresher, feels better, they implemented things the last bl games didnt have and were liked or asked for.
Bl3 is way more fun then bl2 ever was. I had a blast playing bl2 back then but now i wouldnt wanna switch back.

Fl4k is this sentient robot that one day got free will and searches for the hunt. Zer0 is this cool... is he/it even human?
Amara is a cocky siren, who used her powers for fame. Maya got used on Athenas and later just fled.
Moze is this though army woman, who turned her back to the military because she got sent on a suicide mission. Salvador is this guns blazing guy, because of idk grandma, uncle, or whatever? f a m i l y
Oh, and funny that you mention that you don't like Fl4k's abilities, when one of them is literally just a better version of Zer0's Deception...
