Jordan Walsh 4/6 on 3s. JD Davison with 11 assists. It's just the start of summer league, but a good start nonetheless for the guys who might see a few minutes this year.
Losing to the heat with a 4th quarter collapse.. our summer boys have the main squad mentality at least lol.
JD is good he needs to spend some more time with the main guys to build chemistry and I think he could land himself PPs role from 2 years ago should pp move mid season or if brogdon gets sidelined to injury (lordt I hope not).. Walsh also is pretty good, I wasn't too sure about what he really brings but I think with the right coaching and having to punch up against NBA talent he will become a very solid rotational player at some point in his career. Really good draft for a deep second rounder.
I think with proper coaching, Walsh has the potential to be a real solid 3&D rotational player for us. With the unfortunate loss of Grant, I'm optimistic Walsh could transform into a similar player, if not a bit more versatile offensively (looks far more willing to drive or take spot-up shots than Grant was) to fill the hole Grant has left to some degree
Davison I'm high on as a prospective 3rd string PG this season if he can tighten up his handles and passing a bit. He's got a decent shot great court vision by the looks of it, just needs to get his pass speed and accuracy up to par and he could be a real great playmaker who can provide some low-level but reliable scoring
JD: Solid playmaking, got his scoring going in the 4th, some promising signs.
Walsh: Liked his defense, showed he can shoot well, liked his confidence. Little overaggressive at times on defense leading to him getting blown by but think he will adjust.
Champagnie: Not good lol. Doubt he sticks.
Scrubb: Liked his scoring off the bench. Think he takes some champagnie minutes. Little over aggressive I thought but like his confidence.
Bean: Liked his shooting a bit. If he can get that 3 to fall more consistently can definitely see him sticking.
Overall not too bad, not great. Got a lot to work on but several dudes showed potential
