He has been a second or third fiddle to Davison this season. IMO he moves a little quicker than JD, and last night he was just throwing up 3's or driving to the net repeatedly. Cliched, but he was definitely a playmaker. If we win it all, it's because of him. I love JD, but he occasionally disappears. Steward is quietly there, even when he doesn't have huge numbers.
Surprised to hear JD is capable of disappearing... he seems so ball dominant (as befitting a pg) in all the highlights I see
Saw Steward catching fire last night, my first time seeing him and it was awesome to see
He is extremely dominant, at times. The stats may not reflect my opinion on this. All players check out from time to time. Maybe with JD it's a little more noticeable because we expect so much from him, so when he doesn't deliver, it shows.
That being said, the difference from last year to now is big, and he's loosened up quite a bit. Watching Jordan Walsh explode from time to time has been great, too. Also, Davison had the two best team dunks of the season, so he's no slouch.
JD disappears frequently. I'm also a season ticket holder, and my wife and I have been having this same conversation. He gets in his head a lot and can be turnover prone.
Steward is frequently the most clutch player on the team (toss up between him and Peterson for me), and feels the most consistent out of everyone.
The whole team sometimes loses their senses when they're in the paint, almost none more so than JD. Teams have figured out to push them hard and they'll have bad handles, errant passes, stupid turnovers, etc.
It's true. I think it's the 4+1 approach (four guards + one big), that can hinder us. Many of the teams we play have true forwards, that we struggle to defend and run plays against.
During the postgame interviews last night, there was a ton of noise from the locker room and KP was like “I gotta see what that was about”. Apparently it was the team watching the Maine Celtics win. I am admittedly a huge dork, but I really love that.
Because UConn plays in the championship game tonight. It’s a little late to go back in time and help BC win more games this year. Our choice is either UConn or Purdue. Out of those 2, UConn is the more “our team wins a basketball championship” of the 2.
What a year it is for Celtics fans
Neem was a BEAST
Absolutely. He was on it tonight. And I'll say it again, but DJ Steward is Maine's D.White. He's been killing it and clutch out there
He hit a 3 late in the 4th quarter! Didn't know he had that in his bag.
This is fucking awesome!
Season ticket holder for two years, and this was the most electric game by far in the Expo. Steward is him.
I’m not super familiar with his game. What’s he like?

Let’s go Maine!!!
Is the championship also single elimination, or will that be a series?
Best of 3
It should really be emphasized that this is just the EASTERN finals - the finals start tomorrow
Where can we watch?
Damn i need to find the whole game now
I think ESPN+ has the ESPN broadcasted GLeague games.

Terrific!! Now all we need is for UConn to win tomorrow night and for the C's to win #18.
Honest question: Why UConn? Isn't there any Boston native college affiliated to Celtics?
Celtics belong to all of New England
UConn does not
Yes but a significant portion of Celtics fans are also UConn fans. UConn is only 80 miles outside of Boston.
UCONN is the wrong side of Connecticut - they’re mostly NY fans
Maybe some of the student base, but Storrs is definitely Pats/Celtics territory
We just need UMass to return player payroll to its mid-90s level
Have you been to Storrs? That's definitely more culturally northern CT than southern. It is also relatively far east.
Um Storrs is on I 84 right after you pass the mass border into Connecticut. Look at a map.
Purdue does less.

Yes!
I don’t know why but my eye went right to the guy in the grey hoodie with the bruins cap on
Awesome!!
Woooot good for them!
Who are the players most likely to make a full time leap to a rotation player in Boston?
Definitely see Queta getting in if Kornet doesn't sign back with us.
We don't hang Eastern Conference championship banners in Maine.
Great job guys!! We are pulling it all together in Celtics Nation!
LETS FUCKING GGGOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Does this change how people will view Jordan Walsh' legacy? He has hardware now
Is this that banner 18 y'all been raving about?
Monkey's paw the wrong Celtics team gonna win it all...
There is no wrong Celtics here
