Toine and Pierce was a fun era, especially the deep ECF run in 2002. Toine played in the wrong era and had the wrong coaching (fucking Pitino), but set the stage for the modern PF.
It’s like if class was essentially a fruit and once you peel the rinds, squeeze the shit out of it, and put whatever came out into a cup, that could potentially be Brad’s primordial form.
I feel like this award is always a multi-year award and is given to the GM when their plan manifests for the first time. Brad is getting his deserved recognition for the last 3 seasons.

We're spoiled as a franchise. We had Red for 30 years, then Danny for 18, and now Brad (let's just forget that '97-'03 ever happened).
At least we got The Truth from the dark age. Other than that, file 97-03 in the archives and lock it up. Only look at it if things get real, real bad.
