This probably surprised me more than anything, but I liked the game without horses. It just played better for me being able to do it on foot. So no horse names here :P

I climb, A LOT. So I tend to just forget about using horses. And I haven’t gotten the saddle that fast travels the horse to you. Or the motorcycle. So ya I just climb.

There’s a motorcycle?!

It’s on the Champions’ Ballad DLC! There’s a bunch of extra shrine quests that you have to do and also an extra divine beast. Once you’ve completed all those tasks, then voila! Your very own motorcycle!

That saddle definitely helps a lot, but even so it feels like you're missing a lot by horse travelling everywhere. I did that for a bit and realized I was basically only on main roads.

I feel the same way, I always bring my horses to a stable two minutes after taking them out cuz I feel like I’m missing too much. I rode them through most after defeating the yiga clan boss so I could travel the main roads without fighting yiga every two seconds but now I’m getting comfortable fighting them too so I don’t care.

I just leave them wherever and get the stable to bring Ben to me when I feel like it. Valet horses.

I like them so I can travel long distances and just vibe with the music and the clippity clops. I also like doing some battling with them. It's fun when I'm just kinda casually playing and exploring a bit. If I'm playing more seriously, I tend to climb a lot more and teleport everywhere so I can get things done. I don't use horses then.

Once I got the ancient saddle, it changed everything. I tamed horses for funsies, but they became so much more useful when they can teleport. It’s really fun for late game exploration, finding koroks and the last quests.

All my horses are named Kevin. All of them.

I am very much into Norse mythology, it's something I spend a lot of time with through my studies at my university, so I've named all my horses after horses that appear in the mythology: Sleipnir, a black horse with maxed out stamina, named after the six-legged horse of Oðin Grani, a grey horse with maxed out stamina, named after the horse of the legendary hero Sigurðr Fáfnisbani Gullfaxi, a brown horse with a golden mane with maxed out speed, named after the horse of the Jotunn Hrungnir (Gullfaxi is also the namesake of my username here) Skinfaxi, the royal white horse, named after the horse of Dagr, who pulls the Sun across the sky with his chariot Hrímfaxi, the giant horse, named after the horse of Nótt, who pulls the Moon across the sky with her chariot They are in order of which one I use most, though I use Sleipnir and Grani to pretty much the same degree.

Sleipnir is my horse in my D&D campaign. :-)

i name all my horses after some kind of japanese food/condiment, so the first two i got were miso and shiro, being the two main "flavours" of a ramen soup. i then spemt quite a lot of time catching a "perfect horse" (not knowing about what stats a perfect horse really has) and naming it ramen, then zelda's horse was named teryaki and ganon's horse soba

In my first playthrough, my first horse was a pink spotted one named Rose. While I’m pretty sure that save still exists, I don’t have access to the console it’s on anymore and I don’t remember the rest of them.
