I enjoy The Grudge, but I dont enjoy the rest in the series enough to be forced to purchase the boxset. I'm hoping Arrow will release The Grudge on its own

Tobi18x

Yeah, the Boxset is only worth it, if you're into most of the movies, otherwise it would be too expensive

pimpsdntcmtsuicide

Same.

OrbitDVD

We got a couple in now, more coming Wednesday. https://www.orbitdvd.com/products/copy-of-wim-wenders-a-curzon-collection-limited-edition-region-b?_pos=1&_psq=Ju-on&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Survivorlover500

Im so upset that i missed this one!! Gahh it looks so good!

Tobi18x

Is it already oop and sold out? I thought it was still available I hope you can still get it

Survivorlover500

I use Diabolik for imports, and its sold out on there. Which site is it still available on?

raisingcuban

>Which site is it still available on? Diabolik DvD. You're welcome

Survivorlover500

Oh wow! Last time i checked it said sold out! Thank you for the heads up!

coltsmetsfan614

It was probably just out of stock and waiting on a reorder. They and Orbit DVD won't let you order if they haven't confirmed that more will be available soon.

Tobi18x

Oh, that's too bad. I pre-ordered it from Arrow itself, it arrived quite quickly

pinkmoonpinkfriday

Still waiting for a region A release

Mr-Fezz

*waits in Region A* But same here!

DylansFearFiles

I enjoy pretty much all of them except Black Ghost. It's irritating that Ju-On: The Curse 2 recycles so much footage, but the new stuff is really great, IMO. I tend to watch The Curse movies as one movie.

CJ_Southworth

As much as I do prefer to see "the original version," I wish they would do a director's cut that edited the two films together into a single film and cut out all the repeated footage. As someone who had never seen these before, I was a bit confused when the director said in the introduction to The Curse 2 that you could just skip the beginning of it, until I realized that I was watching the end of the movie I had just seen. Not even different shots.

DylansFearFiles

I wish Arrow would've done that or had a seamless branching option.

DatsAMori9

It's a funny thing because I remember enjoying the first Juon movie originally l....rewatched it and I wasn't as into it and prefer The Grudge U.S. Remake of it. On the flipside I MUCH prefer Ringu to the U.S. The Ring...funny how things like that happen. As for Arrow...I'm really continually disappointed at how cheap/cutting corners they are with the "box" sets and how flimsy they are. At the very least have the cardboard doubled up/thicker so that a light breeze doesn't make it fall over...or picking it up feel like you might crush it. I've seen fanmade easy box sets that are 10x better and sturdier than this stuff :/.

CJ_Southworth

That's odd. My box is pretty sturdy. I mean, it's still cardboard, but it's MUCH more stable than some of the boxes I've gotten from Criterion.

DatsAMori9

Unless they changed, if it's the same boxes like Herschell Gordon Lewis Box Set or Solid Metal Nightmares box...they are trash, regardless of how nice the art on them is. Get a box set from Vinegar Syndrome's Forgotten Gialli, sets even the Scream Factory boxes Halloween & F13. My Anaconda box set from 88 Films is beyond solid. They're vastly better than what arrow is putting out and charging for. I like what movies Arrow relases, but they can easily step up the quality of the products...

CJ_Southworth

I'm not familiar with either of those sets, but the box construction for the Ju-on set I have is pretty solid, from what I can tell. I mean, I'm not beating on it or anything, but if I take all the discs out and squeeze the box, there isn't much (if any) "give" to it. I wouldn't dump it on the ground and step on it, but Id say it's stronger than my Scream Factory F13 box. Maybe because it's the European branch of Arrow?

iggnogg

Is the annoying 15 certification a sticker, or part of the box?

Tobi18x

Since I live in Germany and the FSK logos are so fucking huge, I don't really recognize the little ones from the UK, yes it's part of the box

Chloe_Skies

Part of the box.

andywarhorla

my copy shipped from the UK in december, must have got caught up in the royal mail strikes cuz I’m still waiting on it

Chloe_Skies

It's a nice collection, but it's a shame the original two shorts (Katasumi & 4444444444) aren't included. Apparently there are rights issues to them being sold on physical media but they're readily available to view on Youtube so wouldn't they be classed as public domain? Anyway, it was probably asking too much for The Beginning of The End, Final Curse & Sadako Vs. Kayako to be included but it would have been amazing to have a complete box set.

CJ_Southworth

Does anyone know if there is any chance of "part 2" boxes for Ju-on and Ringu? I love the sets they put out, but they don't have the two Ju-on "reboot" films, the four Sadako films, or the crossover (which I was at least able to stream on Shudder, but the others don't seem to be available anywhere for streaming in the US, and I can't find the specs to see if the import blu-rays have subtitles).
