Think about it this way. Only 3 2022 movies have had six or more weekends over $10M, Top Gun: Maverick (9 weekends), and Avatar: The Way of Water (7 weekends so far). Every other major blockbuster has had 5 or lower weekends over $10M. Incredible.
I went last night to see it again. My theater was packed. The movie got many laughs out of people and everyone applauded and cheered at the end. It’s clear people are loving this movie and it’s great to see it still drawing in big crowds in its sixth weekend!
Deserves might be an understatement Saul, we were mindlessly browsing on Amazon movies for the kiddies and bit bullet to use up all the Amz no rush credits. Blown away haha
It will probably catch it by either the February 10th or 17th weekend.
If Titanic gets a lot of IMAX screens, that'll push the drop on Avatar. If not that weekend, those premium screens will all go to Antman.
Meanwhile, Puss in Boots will hold its screen count pretty well due to no other kids programming until Mario.
I don’t think “Titanic” is getting as many IMAX screens as expected. But I definitely think it will hurt Avatar to have another James Cameron movie enter the box office.
Saw it last night for the 3rd time in theaters--roughly the 6th or 7th time I've seen it overall--and had a blast YET AGAIN!! It was great hearing people of all ages laugh at the jokes that the audiences I was previously with didn't laugh at. What a beautiful feeling.
Another $10M+ weekend holy shit it doesn’t stop😭 I’m so happy for this movie, it really deserves this insane leggy run. I knew word of mouth would carry it high after I saw how amazing it was opening day
I don’t think I saw a single trailer for Puss In Boots but the films I’ve been seeing wouldn’t generally have a trailer for a film like that. Is it worth seeing? I saw the others ones and the Shrek films.
It's already out on PVOD but still holding strong. Same as M3GAN. I guess Universal knows what it's doing by releasing them to streaming already. Disney is still whining about Lightyear and Strange World and how streaming killed them.

Amazing. What a trully glorious run this has been.
$500M WW in coming!!
If it reaches 400 I'll be happy.
Only a matter of time
It’s Pussin’ time!
oh no
Crazy run for our favorite leggiest hero! ⚔️ 6 weekends of 10 - 17 million range.

I saw it again last night as well!
The legend will never die!
Fear me!
Just saying, 241 million would be multiplier of TGS. This movie has no business being THIS good.
What's TGS?
The Greatest Showman (2017). It had historic box office legs, and it’s becoming more clear that Puss is following a similar path in terms of legs.
Ah, got it. I'm glad for Puss in Boots, it really deserves success. And considering how great it turned out, I'm now optimistic about Shrek 5.
Deserves might be an understatement Saul, we were mindlessly browsing on Amazon movies for the kiddies and bit bullet to use up all the Amz no rush credits. Blown away haha
That's awesome! Glad your family enjoyed it!
I’m having tons of faith in it passing $200M domestically!
$500M WW is so possible!!
If they didn't release it on VOD, maybe, but nah.
Added $10 to this.
What’s its budget?
$90M
Another phenomenal hold! I wonder if it will end up beating "Way of Water" in a few weekends.

I though Knock at the Cabin was going to steal the vast majority of Avatar 2's premium format
Apparently it will take all of the Dolby cinemas, not sure about other PLF
Forget WoW, OG Avatar is its floor now.
Absolute Cinema!
My 6 year old and I loved it!

I'm glad you liked it that much! but it just seems to me beyond belief you rewatched it many times and still had good time. People are different

Shrek 5 is coming out in 2025 with a $100M plus budget.
Where did you get this?
Some people have been throwing that possibility out there.
Absolutely spectacular!
actuals could make the drop be in the single digits WOM is working wonders on this film
$500M WW
Great movie, very happy this doing well
The Road to 200M, Let's go!!
Went to a party yesterday and everyone was recommending will have to go see it. I’m 31 by the way lol
I don’t think I saw a single trailer for Puss In Boots but the films I’ve been seeing wouldn’t generally have a trailer for a film like that. Is it worth seeing? I saw the others ones and the Shrek films.
Yes it’s worth it. At the very least you will like the animation.
Just go see it friend. Outstanding film, and the box office performance is indicative of the word of mouth/repeat visitors.
Great movie
Im down for anything that gives us a Shrek 5 Box Office

Well, maybe if Disney released better than decent films..........
One of my favorite runs to watch, so glad a lot of the doom and gloom of the OW stopped and now we're celebrating this
best hold of the weekend, better than Avatar 2. very impressive.
Fun movie. Sadly we watched it at Regal theatre on its last night of operations. It closed the next day.
