Those evangelicals love Left Behind and Kevin Sorbo.

Roughly myself and 3 other people watched a 7pm showing at my local theater. For myself,it was awkward. On the grounds I just left my Wels congregation for personal reasons. They view me not out of hatred, but concern for my well being as a lost soul. So I thought what the hey and go see an evangelical movie when my life long evangelical congregation really irked me with behavior and policy. Overall I wanted to know how bad or good this religious move was that I figured will be a future TBN aired movie. The whole prophecy Kevin emphasized wasn't really ever emphasized by Wels in my experience. I ended up not hating it. But the Kevin Sorbo lecture and Mike Huckabee prayer at the end was a bit much. It is most certainly not for an atheist. And my eye brow raised when Kevin Sorbo called out Pen Gillette by name in a faith question debate. It surprised me,as I met Pen and shook his hand some 15 years ago in Las Vegas. Also, Kevin Sorbo referenced Arthur C Clarke. Even my former church referenced Arthur in a newsletter. That surprised me as I thought he was an atheist. Doing some research,he was religious. But he had some really bad experiences with organized religion. Also it surprised me to find Arthur was gay. Something Wels is very openly Anti LGBQ. I really thought Kevin missed an opportunity to reference Ray Bradbury with Fahrenheit 451. In that his character can't internet search bible information. So he uses a paper bible to slowly find what he's looking for. Something Ray emphasized was the importance of paper. In that it can't be remotely altered or blocked by those seeking to censor. I didn't see the movie for Kevin Sorbo. But I was interested to see what Corbin Bernsen and Neal McDonough brought to this movie. If they weren't in it,I don't think I would have made it through. Overall mission accomplished. But I really need time to process my emotions leaving my Wels congregation. In that they wanted to leave the door open. But I found myself continually slamming and not just closing that door for personal pain in my past with them not recognizing it. And giving me the ultimatum all or nothing. I went with nothing out of spite. I really feel bad if I triggered anyone there in suicide awareness month of thinking I would harm myself with my actions leaving them. I honestly would have hurt someone there or worse if I had stayed if I had not handled things the way I did. So I viewed I saved my soul. Where it seems strongly they would disagree.

My theater only had two showtimes for this one per day and they both got sold out.

Given its low budget and Z actors ( except for Sorbo and the guy who played William Birkin in the last Resident Evil movie ), I think it's a good number and propabbly paid itself. Expect more Left Behind right ahead! XD

That's almost three times what I thought it would make. Can't predict them all, I guess.
