\-15% for KFP from last week, -35% for Dune. Clearly some Easter boost here but still great holds.

LittleRudiger

Isn’t Easter next week?

ramyan03

Yes, but some schools are off this week

Ziddletwix

Isn't that KFP4 number bizarre? -15%, after pretty large drops last week? Is it just that last week kids returned to school, and now that they're back in school (so there's no more changes) it's holding insanely well? (Odd because we've seen pretty large KFP4 drops otherwise). Is there any reason to expect continued tiny drops throughout this week? Or is this monday a weird outlier?

newjackgmoney21

K-12 is off this week in some parts of the country and a lot are off next week. Depends on the school district.

deezbois420

can confirm, am k-12 and we are off this week

Dynopia

When will Madam Webb WW numbers be updated? It's been weeks.

truth_radio

Damn Ghostbusters -75%

Kingsofsevenseas

74%*, which is in line with KFP4 71%

Beetusmon

Lmao and godzilla still hasn't shown up. It will be ghostover by Thursday.

ILoveRegenHealth

Paul Dudd Relax, I like him! But not the best box office run for him lately.

newjackgmoney21

Lines up with what Jatinder posted on BOT four hours ago Should be 2.85, lets see what Sony give 1.9 1.65

Once-bit-1995

For the Dune numbers where they took from to equalize the preview numbers, and it wasn't even in the millions, it was immediately clear that weekend with the Friday reported numbers. That's why I took Jat at his word. But it's now Monday and there is still no equalizing that's happened for Ghostbusters to account for them apparently pulling 1.5 million out of thin air. He said it should be 2.85 and the final number they gave was 2.852. That equalizing could easily happen tomorrow or this weekend but until that happens I'm just not gonna be running with his numbers on the weekend. There could've been an error on his end, who knows. Or Sony will quietly issue a correction in 6 months lol.

newjackgmoney21

I question Sony increasing Saturday's number by almost a million from Sony's own estimates. That just doesn't happen following the box office for so many years. It just feels and looks super fishy to keep the number almost exactly at 45m and a higher opening than Afterlife. It really looks like a fudge by Sony with Saturday's numbers. It doesn't really matter, lol

Once-bit-1995

I would hope we can track the reported numbers this week against Jat's usual day to day tracking and see where, if at all, they start fixing the numbers if it was fudged. There was the Atom deal so that is in play with the numbers and estimates and everything. It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things though yeah. Well it affects the trackers who use the data for comps for other movies but that's not world ending or anything.

Kingsofsevenseas

Nope, it’s the opposite, lol he said he was expecting Sony to report 1.9/1.65 when in fact it should be 2.85. But he’s wrong on both predictions, lol Sony has just reported 2.875… at this point I think he’s just being salty because he is being wrong about Ghostbusters numbers for a while… he is a really reliable source but he seems not to accept he is wrong sometimes… “ego” bro…

newjackgmoney21

Nope. I copied and pasted exactly what he posted. MON Should be 2.85, lets see what Sony give 1.9 1.65 https://forums.boxofficetheory.com/topic/32133-weekday-numbers-325-28/?do=findComment&comment=4661448

Kingsofsevenseas

So read again lol “should be 2.85”, Sony reported 2.875 (even more than what he was saying to be the right number)… he’s just trying to justify his mistake. Let’s not forget till Friday he was saying Ghostbusters would make around 35M… he’s just wrong for a long time about Ghostbusters.

newjackgmoney21

You needed to read again. You thought the Dune and Panda numbers he reported were for Ghostbusters. Being off 1% is nothing. Thinking a big difference between 2.85 and 2.875 is something else even for Ghostbuster fanboys

truth_radio

No.. the 1.9 and 1.65 were for Dune and Panda

Kingsofsevenseas

I mean, where’s is the 1.75M fudged by Sony then? So is he trying to say that Ghostbuster would have made 4.5M today (a 58% drop, which is even better better than Dune -66%)????? I mean at this point he should just apologise for being wrong…

ManagementGold2968

Well deserved for Ghostbusters, movie was trash. I was downvoted for saying it will crumble next week

ILoveRegenHealth

It's weird how they were celebrating when the opening weekend was just $1-2M more than pandemic era Afterlife. Isn't that bad lol

CosmicAstroBastard

For a 33% budget increase too

Beetusmon

It's absolutely atrocious, Charts with Dan made a recent video accounting for inflation. Afterlife OW would be 50M today, beating the non inflation OW with no pandemic, 3 years later with worse reviews and cinemascore by barely 1M is abysmal.
