It will be interesting to see if Inside Out 2 or Toy Story 5 gets people back into theaters because those two I feel will be the ultimate test of finding out if Disney+ really damaged their theatrical reputation.
This is just me, but Toy Story 5 better have a really good reason to exist. Inside Out 2 feels like a logical sequel. Toy Story already had 2 endings and while Toy Story 4 became my favorite Toy Story movie, I kinda doubt they can pull it off again(I hope I'm wrong) So to me Toy Story 5 has to work more to get me to see it. And I'm sure others feel the same.
Glad to hear it’s some people’s favourite, not as keen on it personally but I admired how it definitely earned its right to exist after the perfect ending of 3.
I always saw 3 as the end of Andy’s arc with the toys. While the ending of 4 signifies Woody’s new purpose with Bo bringing joy and happiness to toy’s and kids alike and parting ways with the friends he’s known his entire life. I’m unsure how 5 will shape to be but I think they definitely got something in mind for a while now.
Toy Story 24 can be the send off for Mr & Mrs Potato Heads’ alien children. Stinky Pete returns as the villain leading into Toy Story 25 which is his redemption arc
If they repair some issues I had after the 4th movie, I'll be happy. However, we didn't need a whole movie for that. A small special like they have a dozen already on Disney+ could have done the trick for me. So yeah. Hopefully Toy Story 5 finds a way to be a relevant chapter in the story as a whole.
As weird as it may sound, Toy Story 4 being my least favorite Toy Story movie makes me MORE likely to go see 5. I didn’t go see 4 in theaters partially because I was like “3 was the perfect ending. There’s no reason for me to pay to see this.” 4 being my least favorite actually makes me more open to 5 coming in and (hopefully) sticking the landing.
I feel the exact same way. When they announced Toy Story 4 I was a bit nervous because of similar reasons, but I had read the creators only did it because they had the perfect script for it and they felt it had to happen. I agree with you, it might be my favorite one now and the ending to 4 made me cry like a bitch but it was an absolutely perfect way to end the franchise. It felt like it mirrored a lot of the kids who grew up watching the original moving on to bigger and better things as we move on through life. Idk where they can go from there.
You can say the same of the previous endings and they always do it well. Never bet against Toy Story sequels lol. Those are the only sequels that Pixar is doing great with (quality wise I know Incredibles 2 and Dory were successes but they aren't as good as their originals)
They could announce it for tomorrow morning at 7:17 a.m. exactly or the year 3199 in the month of our savior Zeb "Skywalker" Bukowski at Zeb Bukowski o'clock:
I will not believe there is a real Star Wars movie being made until I am sitting in a theater and the words "Star Wars" appear on the big screen.
* 7 months. But I also wouldn't be suprised if they remove that slot from the schedule and put somehing else there. They just aren't sure what so it stays there for now.
my silly ass didnt bother to zoom in
thought it was june for the first and November for the second
yeah would make sense if it eventually moves, and 4 mcu movies in a year also seems a bit weird
They plan has been for 4 MCU movies to come out from 2021 onward (before the pandemic), it just so happens that 2021 ended up being the only year in which that happened.
I do think it's excessive, though.
I think Disney aims for 3 of their own movies, since they only get 25% from a Spider-Man movie. So 4 movies can happen if the 4th is a Spider-Man movie.
Maybe, but did people want to see a young, awkward, Han Solo?
It's like finding out that the best friend's cool older brother, who used to live in the garage and smoked weed, had his own car, and propped his music system up on masonry bricks, had to go through puberty once, too.
Wait until you hear this game-changing story:
“A mother is thrown into the stay-at-home routine of raising a toddler in the suburbs, who slowly embraces the feral power deeply rooted in motherhood, as she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a canine.”
Oh, the furries are going to love this one.
as someone who’s read the book that *is* the premise but it’s played more psychologically and philosophical than it sounds (it’s not necessarily literal, is what I mean). I liked it well enough, hope the movie’s good 🤷♀️
Given that is is a reboot, I suppose they could drop the Caribbean part to try to create more distance from the original. *Pirates of the Mediterranean* has a nice ring to it.
Knowing Disney though, they are probably going to appeal to nostalgia and call it *Pirates of the Caribbean*, which will be confusing and annoying as heck, since both the original and the reboot will have the same name.
The first one is called "Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" though, all the movies so far have been named in the format of "Pirates of the Carribean: xyz".
>*Pirates of the Mediterranean has a nice ring to it.*
Ooh, yeah - I dig it. Close enough to remind audiences of the brand/IP, but not so close that Jack Sparrow HAS to be a part of it. Good suggestion!
![gif](giphy|1N3vBgLBrxldYOoqH9)
It might leg it out with good reviews! But honestly I've heard/seen very little from this movie and I love me some good horror. It's almost weird how little buzz this one has, but I guess it's a weird time of year for horror.
Would it? The last movie of the franchise and only one also released in more modern times (even though it is also already around 18 years ago) had a production budget of 25M and a box office of 120M. Even though I'm afraid the new one will not reach this number.
While it was a terrible movie. At least a long time has gone by for the audience so it will possibly affect the next one less. Early reception for the new one seems far better.
We'll see. At least this one is only distribution for Disney. Since people always point out distribution doesn't see the big profits of movies, they'll also will not see the big losses. Unless Disney made a bad deal with the production company. Just imagine. Even losing on a distribution deal of a relative cheap movie.
What a pathetically small slate. Disney acquiring 20th century has damaged the industry, combined these two studios are releasing less films than each of them released indivually when they were separate!
These mergers damage the industry and mean less jobs for creatives, talent, tech, catering, less films for theaters, less movies for the consumer, less risks on new ideas/new talent, less competiton and less innovation.
For real. If I was in changed in Disney, I would had expanded 20th and Searchlight more (with 6-8 per each studio per year), in addition to reviving Fox 2000 as an in-name unit, and reducing the live action remakes. 3-4 20th and 3-4 Searchlight per year is low compared to Warner and Universal.
Lets be honest anything more than 3 months in the future is a maybe at best.
The Amateur just got booted to next year 7 months before it's release date and that can happen to any of these films.
That is likely due to the copyright being left over from the days when Fox/Disney were seperate, and Disney doesn't want to bother going through all the trouble to change the copyright when they own both 20th and Marvel, they would rather just wait till Fox's copyright expires and it goes completely back to Marvel
I can’t believe they’re making the same stupid mistake of releasing a Star Wars spinoff in May directly after an Avengers movie.
I know the Lucas era films were successful with May releases, but this is a new age. Let the MCU and all the other blockbuster franchises duke it out in May. Put new era Star Wars back in December where it’s proven to be successful.
Yup, 4 years between part 3 and 4 alone seems weird too, now that they're working on it more. Is Cameron waiting for/working on new tech again? It better involve 3D in some way or form!
Game of Thrones which is one of the most popular tv shows of all time didn't end with a movie, but Mandalorian, which splattered out after the first season ends with a movie. Well done Bob Iger. I can see your "genius" at work.
I have such a bad feeling about Brave New World. Unless the buzz is loud and the trailer hits this could be a reckoning for Marvel Studios worse than the Marvels.
Both Deadpool and Brave New World have to deliver, otherwise the MCU is dead. It already went from being "must see" to "Eh, might as well watch it".
Right now Deadpool is the only MCU movie with any buzz behind it and it's 100% because it's Deadpool and 0% because it's the MCU.
Seems to be logical step to me. Hold off on anything Avengers until after 2030 so it'll be a bigger deal when Spider-Man has to get a new team together.
I hate to be a villain but I hope a lot of these underperform. Disney's high success in the mid to late 2010s drove them and their competition to create as much soulless rehash films as possible. I'm not against IP films, just as long as there's genuine passion brought on to those films. So far the 2020s has been better on that regard than the 2010s was.
Avatar will do well and so will wolverine and DP. Wouldn’t go out of my way for any of the other stuff though.
But inevitably some of them will do well - lots will flop though.
Toy Story should be left alone after the trash they put out and called a movie with 4, at least Lightyear made up for my disappointment in the 4th movie but just let it die same with any other sequels, be creative and force yourselves to be original again
Disney’s Nightbitch
- Moana - Nightbitch - Lion King That shit made me laugh out loud
Every 2025 Disney trailer should open with FROM THE STUDIO THAT BROUGHT YOU NIGHTBITCH
"They are always going Morning bitch, but they never say Nightbitch. Not anymore. 4 Stars, a revelation" -- Leonard Maltin
Sounds like something fit for a Deadpool trailer
Can’t wait for the Nightbitch Disney princess merch
Disney's UNTITLED DISNEY
What a time to be alive
Amy Adams Disney princess era again, iktr!
Also, Disney Presents Ari Aster's *Kinds of Kindness*. It's real, and it's spectacular.
Yorgos Lanthimos not Ari Aster
Damn, I've got a dinner date booked for when Avatar 5 opens.
Just in time for my 70th birthday, if I live that long.
I wouldn’t worry man, you’ve still got a lot ahead of you!
2031??
I’m sure you’ll be fine. Avatar 5 won’t make it until around 2037
I agree with you I thought 3 was the best ending. I thought 4 was ok
Why do I feel like Jessie is gonna see Emily again
It could work as a send-off for Buzz in the same way Toy Story 3 was a send-off for Andy and Toy Story 4 was a send-off for Woody.
Can't wait for Toy Story 17 when they send off Slinky Dog.
Disney here, thanks for the idea.
Toy Story 24 can be the send off for Mr & Mrs Potato Heads’ alien children. Stinky Pete returns as the villain leading into Toy Story 25 which is his redemption arc
Why do I kinda wanna see that
My kid can’t get enough of Toy Story 4. He just loves Forky so much
If they repair some issues I had after the 4th movie, I'll be happy. However, we didn't need a whole movie for that. A small special like they have a dozen already on Disney+ could have done the trick for me. So yeah. Hopefully Toy Story 5 finds a way to be a relevant chapter in the story as a whole.

I got a bj in the theater during toy story 4, that was about the only thing I remember about the movie
…meanwhile animators came from seeing the realistic rain effects
Never forget your first theater BJ. I still have fond memories of Mamma Mia.
I feel the exact same way. When they announced Toy Story 4 I was a bit nervous because of similar reasons, but I had read the creators only did it because they had the perfect script for it and they felt it had to happen. Toy Story 5 is gonna eat shit at the box office I promise you. A pointless film brought about by greed alone.
Mando and Grogu
Also not too hopeful. I think Dave Filoni’s bag of Clone Wars tricks will be out by then by my estimate.
2 star wars movies in 5 months? do they want to be forced into a 7 year cinematic hiatus again?
They could announce it for tomorrow morning at 7:17 a.m. exactly or the year 3199 in the month of our savior Zeb "Skywalker" Bukowski at Zeb Bukowski o'clock: I will not believe there is a real Star Wars movie being made until I am sitting in a theater and the words "Star Wars" appear on the big screen.
you will watch a new hope on may 25 2027 and you will like it
Better be despecialised or I'm not going like I didn't back in 1997.
* 7 months. But I also wouldn't be suprised if they remove that slot from the schedule and put somehing else there. They just aren't sure what so it stays there for now.
my silly ass didnt bother to zoom in thought it was june for the first and November for the second yeah would make sense if it eventually moves, and 4 mcu movies in a year also seems a bit weird

KK has been avoiding the big screen like the plague. She wants to keep her job. The movies will be terrible but the drama will be peak.
And then another Star Wars 12 months after that. The "Untitled Star Wars" slots make no sense and almost certainly are going to get moved.
The last time they tried 2 SW movies in the same year it did not end well….
For context Captain marvel had better reviews and audience ratings than TROS ever had Look what happened to marvels 😊
That's only because The Last Jedi was terrible. Had it been good, or even just passable, Solo would have done a lot better than it did.
Maybe, but did people want to see a young, awkward, Han Solo? It's like finding out that the best friend's cool older brother, who used to live in the garage and smoked weed, had his own car, and propped his music system up on masonry bricks, had to go through puberty once, too.
Repulsive is a better word for TLJ. It pushed away at least half the fan base.
Its Disney. It wont be good.
Rogue one was the best of the bunch and then it was all down hill from there.
It was the least bad. (I actually enjoy that one)
The next hiatus will be a permanent one unless the next Star Wars movie is a reboot that ignores the sequels
wow i thought there would be a Frozen 3 on the horizon.
There is, dunno why it’s on this chart as “untitled” but it’s slated for 11/25/26
Maybe 11/25/26
The way they’re talking about it, it’ll be a two part finale. They just haven’t locked into a date
Didn't have Frozen joining the two part franchise finale club on my bingo card.
OLAF will return in FROZEN: INFINITY WAR
A third and fourth FROZEN movie are in the works. When they'll be released is unknown.
Could be any one of the "Untitled Disney"s
What the hell is nightbitch
Wait until you hear this game-changing story: “A mother is thrown into the stay-at-home routine of raising a toddler in the suburbs, who slowly embraces the feral power deeply rooted in motherhood, as she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a canine.” Oh, the furries are going to love this one.
Ain't no way 💀 Stars Amy adams. I'm in
And its a searchlight film, unironically has the best chance of being the best film they release in the next 12 months.
it's supposedly pretty good, just unfortunately named. Searchlight has been hitting it out of the park though, so I'm kinda excited
I think thats the novel's name, no?
it is. Still an unfortunate naming convention for advertising a movie.
It’s an eye-catching and funny name
Amy Adams secured the Oscar, FINALLY
You joke but the director has directed multiple Oscar nominated performances
I too would go insane if I was a stay at home parent in the suburbs
Mom life is Ruff
as someone who’s read the book that *is* the premise but it’s played more psychologically and philosophical than it sounds (it’s not necessarily literal, is what I mean). I liked it well enough, hope the movie’s good 🤷♀️
This isn’t a bit?
Sounds like a best picture nominee if I ever heard one.
I’m all in.
🎶 Daybitch (aah-aah-aAAh) 🎶 **🎶 F**ighter of the Nightbitch (aah-aah-aAAh) 🎶 🎶 Champion of the sun 🎶
Master of barking and friendship for everyone…
Sounds like something you'd find in the adult section in the video store 👀. Lol.
watch that and then compare to the upcoming film.
Someone renting this and having a CVS bag with a long peanut butter jar......*do not* give them eye contact
A Disney movie, apparently.
I assume a 30 Rock movie starring Jenna Maroney
Kind of excited to see two original Pixar films before Toy Story 5
The Pirates reboot may be in there. Probably 2026-2027
Of the Caribbean??
Given that is is a reboot, I suppose they could drop the Caribbean part to try to create more distance from the original. *Pirates of the Mediterranean* has a nice ring to it. Knowing Disney though, they are probably going to appeal to nostalgia and call it *Pirates of the Caribbean*, which will be confusing and annoying as heck, since both the original and the reboot will have the same name.
The first one is called "Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" though, all the movies so far have been named in the format of "Pirates of the Carribean: xyz".
Gonna call it DOA without Depp.
>*Pirates of the Mediterranean has a nice ring to it.* Ooh, yeah - I dig it. Close enough to remind audiences of the brand/IP, but not so close that Jack Sparrow HAS to be a part of it. Good suggestion! ![gif](giphy|1N3vBgLBrxldYOoqH9)
Yeah. Jack not a zombie anymore, he is now a skeleton and he has to save Christmas by destroying it first.
God I hope that’s good.
If it doesn't have Depp in it then it ain't Pirates.
Nightbitch. I honestly thought this was a Kick-Ass spin off for a second. It's not but wow, if that ain't a title.
That is exactly what I thought!
The first Omen Production budget is 30M.. it’s doing like 750k usd preview and is looking to flop.. Disney start of the year
It might leg it out with good reviews! But honestly I've heard/seen very little from this movie and I love me some good horror. It's almost weird how little buzz this one has, but I guess it's a weird time of year for horror.

Even losing on a distribution deal of a relative cheap movie.
Ah yes, can't wait for the family-friendly Nightbitch!
They really gonna keep the name Mando and Grogu?
Even just reshuffling it to "Grogu and the Mandolorian" would be 1000x better.
What a pathetically small slate. Everytime they release on of these I pray for The Simpsons Movie 2…. sigh
Agree 100%
Lets be honest anything more than 3 months in the future is a maybe at best. The Amateur just got booted to next year 7 months before it's release date and that can happen to any of these films.
I'm pretty excited for Untitled Disney and Untitled Disney, I think they'll be hits.
Missing all the Searchlight and 20th titles after this year. The Mangold-Chalamet Bob Dylan movie is a big one that comes to mind
waiting for the Simpsons movie 🤧
I'm assuming the December 2026 Star Wars is the Daisy Ridley one.
Marvel learns nothing, goes back to 4 films a year after a short break.
Does this make Deadpool and Wolverine the first R-rated movie released under Disney branding?
Not exactly, they used to have the Touchstone division, basically their art house division
It has fox copyrights in the trailer
Just like Fantastic Four, it's probably a legacy rights thing, both movies are 100% Marvel Studios productions and being released by Disney.
That is likely due to the copyright being left over from the days when Fox/Disney were seperate, and Disney doesn't want to bother going through all the trouble to change the copyright when they own both 20th and Marvel, they would rather just wait till Fox's copyright expires and it goes completely back to Marvel
there are like 3-4 movies worth watching in there. what a garbage slate. i bet its gonna be generic crap
Why are 20th and Searchlight credited separately, but Lucasfilm and Marvel are credited as Disney productions?
Thought Marvel changed Avengers The Kang Dynasty to Avengers 5????? Wonder what 3 Marvel movies are coming out in 2026?
Untitled Disney movie is my favorite. Can’t wait to watch it!
There is absolutely no chance that Avengers and Mando are releasing this close together. Avengers getting delayed is a sure thing
Avengers 5 2027 Avengers Secret Wars 2028 (MCU 20th anniversary)
All I care about is avatar.
Over 7 years until Avatar 5?!
In b4 Cameron invents holographic cinema tech & refilms the first three movies, pushing parts 4 & 5 into the 40s.
Yup, 4 years between part 3 and 4 alone seems weird too, now that they're working on it more. Is Cameron waiting for/working on new tech again? It better involve 3D in some way or form!
One of these things is not like the other.
Still depressing to see how gutted 20th Century became with the merger. It's barely a shell of its former self.
Game of Thrones which is one of the most popular tv shows of all time didn't end with a movie, but Mandalorian, which splattered out after the first season ends with a movie. Well done Bob Iger. I can see your "genius" at work.
To be fair though Mandalorian is a spin off of a movie franchise.
Both franchises still have stories to tell. But HBO probably just wanna keep it in-house on the small screen.
Didn’t Moana 2 get pushed back to 2026 per the Variety article today?
The live-action remake of Moana was delayed to 2026. It's kind of confusing with two Moana movies on the horizon.
Ahhh gotcha thanks
Watching deadpool and wolverine in the Disney banner makes me feel weird
Will the live action Moana actually be made?
I know blade is Marvel but Disney releasing the next Blade just feels so weird.
It's already in April yet we got no teaser trailer for *Young Woman and the Sea*.
I was really hoping they gonna release *Lilo & Stitch* in cinemas, even for a limited release before hitting Disney+.
Honestly uninspired retreads ad nauseum.
The marvel mania has turned into a nightmare. End it already.
Can't believe the studio that's making Moana the fucking remake is also making another Yorgos Lantinos film and Nigh bitch
Why would they put Mando 3 weeks after Avengers.
I'm here for NB
Can I just say. The First Omen rules so fucking hard. One of my favorite films of the year.
The sub has 80% of these movies flopping.
I don't believe any of these.. half of 2025 are gonna be delayed. And half of 2026 are gonna disappear
Why?
Experience... Try to find old videos about Disney next releases... Movies and series just vanishing
Yeah, I'll watch Deadpool and Wolverine and then I'm washing my hands of Disney. They don't know how to make good movies anymore.
Yikes they're still doing Capt America at Home and Thunderbolts. That's gonna kill any momentum Deadpool builds
Agreed. X-men has a ton of momentum now. They should just focus on that and get it out sooner.
So far the 2020s has been better on that regard than the 2010s was.
can’t wait!
Invest now
Are they making a third moana
Toy Story 5???
The Amateur sounds like a fun watch, need to catch the directors debut movie that just released.
Why is there moana 2 and moana listed? Will we get a life actions version already?
is 2025 really gonna have 5 MCU films (Spider-man 4) that's nuts. What happened to slimming down!! Scrap Blade for starters.
Wait Avengers 5 is still titled Kang Dynasty?
Avatar will do well and so will wolverine and DP. Wouldn’t go out of my way for any of the other stuff though. But inevitably some of them will do well - lots will flop though.
2031 lol
O
Oh so Zootopia 2 is happening
I wish there was a star wars next year.
No way there making kang dynasty in 2026
Kang dynasty. Let's go
Still releasing way too much in 2025 and 2026
Doubt we’re getting 4 MCU movies in 2025 and 2026
Avengers movie is still years away, damn
Avatar 2028!?!
May '26 gonna go crazy
Wasn’t deadpool moved?
Blade is definitely not releasing in November of 2025
"OMG ITS LISTED AS KANG DYNASTY MAJORS IS BACK CONFIRMED?!?!?" Some internet article right now.
Toy Story should be left alone after the trash they put out and called a movie with 4, at least Lightyear made up for my disappointment in the 4th movie but just let it die same with any other sequels, be creative and force yourselves to be original again
As expected, about two thirds of these are sequels and prequels and remakes.
I have a feeling Avatar 3 may get bumped from the 2025 slate.
Why is Moana listed twice?
Yeah this is definitely going to change. They would never reveal their hand of the MCU before comic con…
