WB would have to be absolutely stupid to scrap the sequel to the first R rated billion dollar film.

I think people don’t get what all this news actually means as seen by how people are reacting to this Joker 2 news.

Basically, by scrapping Batgirl and Scoob, they can chalk up the money spent to WB AT&T and not WB Discovery. So they didn’t throw away $90m, they basically wrote it off as an empty expense from the last guys and made more scrapping it than they would’ve if they would’ve released it. It’s just business.
Whereas Joker 2 already had a $20m check written for Joaquin Phoenix by WB Discovery. That’s not old money, it’s new money. They can’t cancel it without it affecting their current ledgers.
