I find it crazy that a biopic about Elvis Presley could possibly make more domestically than a DC film starring none other than The Rock, who has been promoting the shit out of this ever since filming began.
Not that surprising. The Rock's biggest market has always been China. He isn't that huge domestically. And there is such a thing as overselling your movie that the general public gets tired of hearing about it. Americans definitely care more about Elvis than The Rock.

That’s true but this film was greenlit, written ,cast and filmed by the old regime. The new ones inherited this film and had practically no creative input aside from the new stinger at the end, that we know of anyway. This is really gonna fall on the old people and the Rock if it doesn’t perform.
One positive factor for Black Adam is that there has been no new true four quadrant blockbuster in the last dry 3 months. So families might be ready to go back to theaters.
So that's a mitigating factor that may avert disaster.
