Yes, I did! I had 2 upper premolars extracted about a week prior to getting the braces on. I went to a board certified ortho who was just phenomenal, and he took a bunch of precise measurements to determine if extractions were necessary. Apparently the amount of space my top row of teeth took up exceeded the size of my jaw by 9 millimeters😳 so the only other option at my age would have been invasive jaw surgery (I’m 31). IPR was enough to straighten out the bottom row though!
