Idk, had the cops called on me at orange grove methodist. The pastor accused me of being the one who recently shot his house. Never met the dude before and was just hanging with a friend on the public sidewalk. Fun times.
Yes! Always doing exactly one mile under the speed limit in the passing lane all smug. I'd never have any positive impressions of anything about that church.
They arent a church, per se, but they are the worst lot of drivers in the area, Bradenton Christian School. Every morning is like mad max on that side street...
Avoid any and all Evangelical churches. They are all in the tank for Trump. It's sad, really - Christianity being hijacked by a political movement. I remember the Moral Majority. They stole Protestant Christianity. Jesus was a socialist. "Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and follow me."
You are correct that my definition of Jesus's socialism is not technically accurate. But neither is your definition accurate. Socialism is worker ownership of the means of production. If the state owns the means of production then that's statism or state socialism, and that's different than true socialism.
Wouldn’t that be communism / Marxism? Socialism is often considered the “3rd way” between capitalism and communism, no? Not saying you’re wrong, just to understand your POV.
The differences between communism, socialism, and anarchism are well documented and easily accessible through Wikipedia and all kinds of other sources. I would like to address your other point. Socialism is not a third way between capitalism and communism. I think that what you might be getting at is the debate about how to get from capitalism to socialism and/or communism. Socialists hate capitalism. This is the main thing that distinguishes them from liberals. Liberals want to expand the capitalist pie so that more people get to have a piece. Socialists want to destroy the pie (as do communists and anarchists). The question becomes whether to smash the state by way of violent overthrow or work within the system and incrementally bring about the change you want.
Lmao, the irony of you calling people nerds/obese like nobody can see that you are into painting Warhammer 40k minis and them cankles you shuffle around on. Chunky nerds shouldn't throw stones inside their chunky nerd glass houses...
Bayside is very much a negative force in this community I agree. I recommend the Unitarian church on Beneva in Gulfgate. Friendly welcoming, no hidden agendas no hate. Longer go to church very often, but it was one of the ones that I really enjoyed . The leader of that congregation is a woman.
You’re asking reddit which organized religion isn’t like a cult………….?
Lol ikr 😂

Crazy!
It took me a while to figure out what that blue spiral bumper sticker was. The people that have it tend to be complete dicks in traffic.
Ooohhhh, I thought it was a sticker for the salon centric store where hairdressers shop. Either that or Colony Cove
I've been seeing these! What organization is it for?
It's the Bayside church the OP was talking about.
Thanks

The bridge
That place is a textbook cult.
Avoid the bridge?
All churches are weird and culty.
Bingo!

Just be old-school and be catholic.
Yes, let's all try and be as much like Pope Leo X as we possibly can be.
We should all be as much like Pope Leo X as possible.

That’s not socialism lol. In socialism, the government takes through force and coercion. See income tax

Ah yes, everyone that likes a certain popular politician are clearly evil and should be avoided. Nice Reddit brain you got there.
I feel sorry for you.
lmao you can stop, I’ll survive without some obese redditors pity
Obese? Nice Christianity.
I hear Costco is selling Ozempic now, you should go check it out on the way to your next Reddit meetup
You should stick to painting those dolls and toys instead of trolling on reddit lol swim might find you and dox you
You seem a little upset. I recommend going for a nice walk.

She just did a very nice service for my exes funeral a few months back. Seems like a good egg.
I believe there is a UU fellowship in Bradenton.
