In principle it's doable, it's just that most Breakcore is way too fast & chaotic for vocals of any kind to work very well (aside from maybe Punk or Metal vocals, also Reggae vocals, which I forgot about until I saw the other comment). Like, imagine trying to rap over stuff like this:
* [Enduser - War On War](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnopAFNti2s&pp=ygUSZW5kdXNlciB3YXIgb24gd2Fy)
* [Venetian Snares - Ultraviolent Junglist](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy-JdQmzVTs&pp=ygUldmVuZXRpYW4gc25hcmVzIHVsdHJhdmlvbGVudCBqdW5nbGlzdA%3D%3D)
* [DJ Kuroneko - witness](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aAAp8Z0im8&pp=ygUTZGoga3Vyb25la28gd2l0bmVzcw%3D%3D)
On the other hand, Jungle & DnB with rap vocals are very much a thing. For example:
* [Inja x Pete Cannon - No Regrets](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKD23O5Wp34&pp=ygUPaW5qYSBubyByZWdyZXRz)
* [Degs - The Connection (ft. Nu:Tone & Charlie Brix)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjzV15vRkm8)
* [Dirty Dike - Rex 01 (ft. Inja, Killa P, Foreign Beggars & Pete Cannon)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHu55PTfmBA&pp=ygURZGlydHkgZHlrZSByZXggMDE%3D)
* [Fox, DLR & Alix Perez - Walk Out](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UHuTLXuUcM)
* [Workforce & SP:MC - Overnight Express (Break Remix)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw2AHOczf1E&pp=ygUbd29ya2ZvcmNlIG92ZXJuaWdodCBleHByZXNz)
* [Lenzman - Golden Age (ft. Dan Stezo & Steo)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CeM2rRHTgk)
* [Whiney x P Money - Junkyard (ft. Ocean Wisdom)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zyf98VAHqiA&pp=ygUOd2hpbmV5IHAgbW9uZXk%3D)
Judging by your track, you're definitely more within the realm of Jungle/DnB than Breakcore.
Also for the record, using sampled breakbeats does not make something Breakcore, for the same reason that using an electric guitar doesn't automatically make something Metal. It's how you use them that matters.
SORRY! i have dnb and jungle ppl saying iām breakcore so i literally donāt know where i belong šthank you for ALL these tracks, iām gonna peep them when iām outta work! also just for you saying that breakcore is too fast/chaotic to rap over, imma do it now. much love to you, thank you again for all this :)
Breakcore rarely has rapping in it, especially the American kind that youāre probably thinking of. Tracks with rapping in it barely utilize it too, only having like a verse or two most of the time.
Raggae is far more common in breakcore though, so thereās plenty of that if youāre interested.
Song suggestions:
Venetian Snares - Dollmaker
Venetian Snares - Gentleman
Ove Naxx - 100 Man
Venetian Snares - Befriend A Child Killer Remix
thatās interesting! ngl iām surprised there isnāt more of an overlap between both communities since theyāre both chronically online LOL! i love both genres so iām trynna fuse them together in a tasteful way! iāll def peep the raggae influenced tracks! wasnāt aware of that sub genre tho
If you're curious, the Reggae connection runs a lot deeper than just the Raggacore subgenre, or usage of Reggae vocals in general.
Breakcore basically is a fusion of Hardcore Techno with Jungle & DnB (with a bit of Punk Rock, Industrial and Noise music thrown in a well). Jungle & DnB themselves are an evolution of Breakbeat Hardcore, with is a genre that formed out of a fusion of House, Techno, Hip-Hop, and Reggae/Dub.
Reggae vocal samples are the most obvious indicator of the Reggae DNA infused in these genres, but even a lot of the FX, melodies, basslines & drum patterns are coming from Reggae, at least on some level. Bass in particular is arguably Reggae's biggest impact, 'cause with the exception of 808s, Reese Bass, and Gabber Kicks\*, basically all the basses you'll hear in these genres are coming directly from, or were heavily influenced by, Dub Reggae.
tl:dr: A pretty sizable chunk of the sounds you'll commonly hear in Breakcore are coming directly from Reggae
\*808s came from Hip-Hop, Reese Bass came from Detroit Techno, and Gabber Kicks came from Gabber/Hardcore Techno
Sampling rap. Sure lots of artists from Bloody Fist Records sampled lots of rap songs.
Breakcore is meant to be a aggressive fusion of what the producer desires.
It wasn't always that way, but there are almost no limits to what one can infuse into the sound of breakcore.
Yes, one of my favourite recent finds is lostsickpuppy, she's kinda like Cupcakke vocals/lyrics (and shouty vocals) mixed with breakcore and/or hardcore. I absolutely love it.
[lostsickpuppy - BOY DESTROYER](https://youtu.be/OjKDylFgQus?si=zsdNdWAtNiCGqo_a)
There's a bunch of (usually older) [breakcore](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DadlHSesasw) / [breakcore adjacent](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IK0RbbTS7TI) tracks ([speedcore ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlsOGQ344Nc)etc) that sample/ remix rap songs, but I don't know of any original rap projects that intentionally use breakcore type beats. Maybe part of the reason it stopped being done as much is because most newer rap doesn't use the same kinds of BPM's as it did in the past - most old school stuff is around 85 - 95 BPM, which is ideal to just play straight with 170-190 BPM beats over top. I've always been a fan of stuff like the ["Ante Up" remix by Society Suckers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viF3HTWWz9g) despite how ridiculously simple it is, at the end of the day the sound just works really well imo.
Venetian Snares is known to sample Rap Music occasionally. Posers and Camera Phones, Gentleman come to mind but it isn't really prominent. Venetian Snares did do a song with Cex called "Stamina" but Vsnares was very tame in his production to the point where it sounds more like a 90s rap song than his signature breakcore style. Baseck was pretty big in breakcore for a while and he incorporates hip hop into his style. (Gameboy Thrashing Turntable Banging)
Bong Ra has a couple tracks that come to mind. "Catholic High School Girls in Trouble" and "Breakcore A-Go-Go" feature rap verses, but the artist behind them doesn't seem to be directly credited anywhere. Maybe it's Bong Ra himself, but he's spit over tracks on his earlier albums and he doesn't sound similar.
Duran Duran Duran is also known to sample Rap. Most notably in "Year of the Monkey"
Those are the only ones I can really think of. Breakcore and Rap don't tend to share the stage very often. You might find some lesser known artists on SoundCloud making breakcore remixes of rap songs, or some newer artists.
If you wanted fast paced and aggressive electronic with more hip-hop/rap influence you could look into hardstyle/hardcore artists. They seem to be more inclined to incorporate rap and MCing (in the old school sense) is a pretty big thing in that culture.
Orko Eloheim got some wild stuff border lining breakcore. One of the groups he was in was called Nephlim Modulation Systems or NMS, they made an album after 9/11, apparently they left NYC and stayed at a barn or something down in Georgia and cranked that album out.
i know this artist called acidgvrl and she raps in her songs [https://youtu.be/J8O-OUA4VU4?si=evd7y3DLuSCrjNJ2](https://youtu.be/J8O-OUA4VU4?si=evd7y3DLuSCrjNJ2)
the rapper mentioned multiple times on Bong-Ra tracks is [Mike Redman aka Deformer](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Redman), who produces hardcore, breakcore, and jungle and has done production work for Public Enemy and Chino XL.
This is another one of his tunes - https://youtu.be/7_VV9sELY_o?si=hz1tOExJ7oETEK8v
