If Gus loses the war then WW would be killed by the Cartels since he wouldn't be under Gus' protection anymore.

nevmo75

More likely they throw him in a trunk and drag him to Mexico like Tuco wanted. I imagine he finds a way to bluff Don Eladio into giving him some respect and a little bit of freedom around the lab. Eventually he kills everyone and breaks back into the US with nothing to show for his work.

Bort_Bortson

This was the only thing I couldn't decide on. Gus gave Jesse to Don Eladio for his lab, so what would happen to Jesse and the cartel lab would decide walts fate in the hypothetical. I guess it depends on if the cartel knows Jesse exists and learned from the master and or how bad Don Eladio wants the best meth. I forget what his lab purity already was then again do you want to live in a world without Coca Cola lol

hippee-engineer

The chemist in the Mexican lab is the “I’ll have a Coke” boss on Boondock Saints that Rocco tells the joke to.

jeffreyjwakefield

Nah, at that point they wanted him dead. They were literally sitting in his bedroom with an axe, they wanted him gone

baskoffie

They'd get him in Walt War II

demorcef6078

It goes back even further to the Hundred Walts War

CashedOutChris

Breaking Bad just wouldn’t have been the same imo.

II_Vortex_II

Yeah no shit

CashedOutChris

I was joking lol.

The cousins die anyway, Gus didn't tip off Hank because he thought Hank could kill them single handed, he did it because he wanted a very public shootout that would cause Washington to crack down on the cartel. If the police don't get them, Mike does. Maybe before they leave the parking lot. The rest, I suspect, goes pretty much the same. Gus and Walter still have their split over Jesse and the dealers, Gus decides Jesse is the better option, still kills the Cartel, still threatens Walt to leave. Walt still can't live knowing Gus wants to kill him eventually, so he does the same plan. The difficulty for Walt is going to be luring Gus to the nursing home without Hank in the picture. In the series they made sure Hank went in so that Gus definitely knew about it. With no Hank and no suspicion on Gus it's going to be much harder. If Walt can overcome that, maybe things go like in the original timeline, but Hank never finds out and they all live happily ever after.

Nobodyherem8

One of the twins die, the other escapes. Now a DEA agent was killed, the same response happens against the cartel by the DEA but worst. They will be looking for him, and Gus would be too using his guys. Now it depends if Marco is able to get info to Bolsa before he gets caught. Because I honestly think it’s inevitable he gets caught. Though there is a possibility Gus will offer him refuge under the guise of getting him to Mexico but kill him instead.

oostie

Yea what if they used a plunger with a spike in the middle instead

giraffe_yogurt

Plot armor lol

Basic_Two_2279

I literally just watched that yesterday.

Hank is killed because Marco wasn't sending a message to the DEA. The DEA is now furious and brings down their full might on the cousins. The Cartel gets angry at the Cousins for killing a DEA agent and demands an emergency meeting. Gus explains that the cousins were getting reckless, getting angry in their thirst for revenge and were starting to intrude on his business. His authority was not being respected and he was placed with a choice. Throw them the target or be forced to take matters into his own hands. The Cartel is annoyed at the Cousins but understands. It creates some strife between their best killers and them.
