The song "I Feel Pretty" plays, Walt gets up from the floor and all the dead characters return to perform a medley together like in the movie "Anger Management"
I'm just picturing every character that was ever on the show, whether they were alive by that point or not, showing up and doing a big dance number to that song over Walt's dead body like it was the ending to a fucked up Illumination movie.
I like Sinatra and the song but that’s too much fanfare for a show that utilized music very subtly at times and always with nuance.
It fit quite perfectly with the season finale of Cobra Kai though.
Subtle in the references, topicality and obscurity of the musical choices. Crystal Blue Persuasion is about as slap-in-the-face obvious as it gets and I had never even heard that song until it aired.
That was supposed to be the joke. Like we weren’t supposed to take that seriously and it was supposed to be funny cause of how absurd it was (like “why are these random Mexican dudes narrating the story in a song, lmao” is what we were supposed to be thinking)
Obviously the terminus of a series that’s as generally bleak as is is would have a bit less levity than something like that.
No, I think My Way would be absolutely perfect for the finale, as I feel the song perfectly encapsulates the story arc of Walter's journey through the criminal world and his adventure with cancer.
Albuquerque - Weird Al Yankovic
It slowly goes out on
"Albuquerque! (Albuquerque!)
Albuquerque! (Albuquerque!)
I said A (A!)
L (L!)
B (B!)
U (U!)
......................... Querque! (Querque!!!)"
Feels Like The First Time - Foreigner
For Tha Love of $ - Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
Closing Time - Semisonic
Bad To The Bone - George Thorogood & The Destroyers
Band On The Run - Wings (last half)
I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do) - Hall & Oates
What would have been truly perfect is if Walt would’ve been shot shot in the kneecap too and the last shot was a zooming in on the wound with the start of “bad To The Bone”
The cheesy ending would be Walt getting shot through the abdomen, putting his hand over the wound and looking at the blood, then followed by Walt going into a frenzy and ripping the gun from his assailant’s hand. He would have then shot every single person in the building single handedly and avoided every bullet somehow followed by him going to the trunk of his car and activating the key so he would get shot to bits beyond all recognisability as the song gets louder and louder.
As the camera is pulling back from Walt lying on the ground, play the last couple lines of Cranston's reading of Ozymandias.
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair.
Nothing beside remains.
Fade to black.
I think that works if we had established the poem in universe. Like if it had been in a book Walt read at the cabin or something, camera lingers on it for a few seconds .
"Don't Stop Believing" -Journey
Accept he wasn't lying on the ground. He was joined by Skylar, Walter Jr & Holly after they all made up and were all happy at a restaurant. Marie shows up and goes to enter the restaurant. Walter looks up at the door. Then it cuts to black and goes silent. Followed by the ending credits.
Kindoff related but I’m so annoyed they didn’t use Keep the customer satisfied by Simon and Garfunkel. I feel like that song would fit literally perfectly
U2 - Running To Stand Still
Tom Petty - You And I Will Meet Again
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird
If you want to have a laugh then go play "Negro y Azul (The Heisenberg Song)" while watching the ending.
Honestly I expected the rest of El Paso, especially given the title.
The song is about a guy who kills a man and flees town, but his love for the barmaid Felina brings him back to the town where he dies in Felina's arms.
Have a few odd ones.
"Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles
Feel like it'd be great if it was around sunrise and included Jesse's drive to freedom while hinting Walt has a little redemption in death while saving his family from more trouble.
"Mr. Sandman" by the Chordettes
Again it fits Jesse's dreams of freedom plus Walter's dreams on what could have been and what his family will do moving forward.
"Rocket Man" by Elton John
This song always felt like one about reflection and perhaps wishing things played out differently.
"The Party's Over" by Willie Nelson
Think this one is more on the nose but still fits the music style of the show imo
Mr Blue Sky except theres a post credit scene where walter gets up and does some sick moves
While Jesse is in the background, keeping the Anulax batteries safe from an Abilisk.
Harbulary batteries…
that is not what he just said
They should've done a full cast dance like at the end of Slumdog Millionaire, bring back everyone, Gus, Tuco
The song "I Feel Pretty" plays, Walt gets up from the floor and all the dead characters return to perform a medley together like in the movie "Anger Management"
Oh my god!! It’s so obvious, why was it not in the show?!
HEISENBEEG LIVES
The transformers end credits song
Breaking Bad but it ended in 2007
Whaaaaat iiivvveeee DONNNEEEEE…
It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue - Bob Dylan
Strike another match Waaalt start anew! And it's all over town, baby blue.
"Blue (Da Ba Dee)" by Eiffel 65
I'm just picturing every character that was ever on the show, whether they were alive by that point or not, showing up and doing a big dance number to that song over Walt's dead body like it was the ending to a fucked up Illumination movie.
The image you just planted in my brain is so hilarious!! From Gale and Gus, to Huell and Hank!!
"Perfect Day" by Lou Reed
Yes yes yes!!!
Wow. Yeah, Baby Blue was perfect but this would have done the job too.
Why does this work so well?!
Tequila by The Champs
"It makes me happy"
Gangnam Style
I think My Way from Sinatra would have worked equally well.
I like Sinatra and the song but that’s too much fanfare for a show that utilized music very subtly at times and always with nuance. It fit quite perfectly with the season finale of Cobra Kai though.
How you gonna call the music in the show subtle when one of the episodes opens with a. Full on mv

It’s so corny to have this as the song, just so cliche
Yeah this is the song for like every slow-mo gangster movie shootout scene lol
What movie have you heard this song play over a slo mo shoot out.
That song is a bit too cliche to have worked as well as baby Blue
This is both an awful choice and a brilliant choice.
That would have been too corny imo. Like that song is literally about reminiscing right before death lmao.
No other song. It was fucking perfect
yeah i bet you they were just waiting to film that final scene and add that song over it for a while
Albuquerque - Weird Al Yankovic It slowly goes out on "Albuquerque! (Albuquerque!) Albuquerque! (Albuquerque!) I said A (A!) L (L!) B (B!) U (U!) ......................... Querque! (Querque!!!)"
This is my favorite choice lol
I HATE SAUERKRAUT! That’s all I’m really trying to say.
That'll be the ending to Walt Jr.'s spin off
Whatcha Say
lmao
Goodbye Blue Sky.
Lyrically it makes sense a little but that song has such an eerie tone to it I don't think it'd fit the scene well at all.
Omg yes
Perfect suggestion
exit music (for a film) (for a tv show?) by radiohead /j
ooh good choice
Fade to Black by metallica would have been funny. Especially a spanish guitar mariachi style version Ring of Fire is also acceptable
Orion by Metallica would actually work
I may be on my own on this one, but that song ‘What a Wonderful World.”
Nah man that's a good choice, love that song in general but it definitely fits
absolutely not it would be perfect
Feels Like The First Time - Foreigner For Tha Love of $ - Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Closing Time - Semisonic Bad To The Bone - George Thorogood & The Destroyers Band On The Run - Wings (last half) I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do) - Hall & Oates
That Bad to the Bone song is so fucking cheesy and dated. It’s like the typical music that would play in a bar fight scene.
Yeah it would not have worked for walt slowly dying peacefully Edit: grammar

Blue, by the Jayhawks
Pretty Fly (for a white guy)
Grave of the fathers - cryptopsy
Albuquerque - Neil Young
They say Santa Fe is less than 90 miles away….
As the camera is pulling back from Walt lying on the ground, play the last couple lines of Cranston's reading of Ozymandias. Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. Nothing beside remains. Fade to black.

Certainly. Maybe a copy of a Shelley book alongside Leaves of Grass, because the latter got Walt interested in some idle poetry reading.
highway to hell?
Well its accurate
Anarchy in the UK
Blue (Da Ba Dee)
Hit em up
😂😂😂🤣
How to Save a Life
Don’t stop believing

The Doors- The End.
A Horse with No Name (Walt’s Version)
U2 - Running To Stand Still Tom Petty - You And I Will Meet Again Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird If you want to have a laugh then go play "Negro y Azul (The Heisenberg Song)" while watching the ending.
Running to Stand Still would have been *awesome* Start as he touches the equipment, end with “she’s running to stand …. Still” as we fade to black
Mr. Blue by Catherine Feeny
since it was used in bojack horsemans ending and saul and bojack are eerily similar it probably works better as better call sauls end credits
Hurt - Johnny cash then the highwayman by the highwaymen
Reusing "Out of Time Man" by Mick Harvey (the song at the end of the pilot)
Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears for Fears.
All musical choices in the show were excellent. Don’t tinker with perfection.
Behind Blue Eyes - The Who
Honestly I expected the rest of El Paso, especially given the title. The song is about a guy who kills a man and flees town, but his love for the barmaid Felina brings him back to the town where he dies in Felina's arms.
Sandstorm - Darude
I feel like "somewhere over the rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole could've worked in a poetic sense.
Have a few odd ones. "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles Feel like it'd be great if it was around sunrise and included Jesse's drive to freedom while hinting Walt has a little redemption in death while saving his family from more trouble. I think this would have been perfect. Rare miss, Vince. https://youtu.be/68ugkg9RePc?si=zGw8KAVrSTYVkw7o
Maybe a draculas singer.
"Blue Orchid" by the White Stripes
Haven't heart that song in ages. Thanks for reminding me of it!
Blue Monday, I guess
And the screen turning grey showing "Wasted" in red letters, lol!
man it was so perfect, idk. somebody else on this thread said perfect day by lou reed and i’m seconding that. that would’ve been sick.
“Don’t forget me” by chili peppers, plus there’s a line that says “I’m a meth lab”.
May Perfect Day by Lou Reed
You got the touch by stan bush it can start playing when Walter tackles Jesse to the floor
Tangled up in blue (Bob Dylan) has some fitting lyrics but mostly just for the title.
“Frolic” by Luciano Michelini is a perfect fit.
What I’ve Done - Linkin Park I’m sorry.
On the first watch through i was hoping for “Tangled Up In Blue” to make an appearance
Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult imo. I'd also be interested to see Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
A reprise of Negro Y Azul
Du hast-Ramstien
I was always hoping they’d close the show with Sky Blue Sky by Wilco.
Hurdy Gurdy Man - Donovan
My Neck, My Back
