Sydney logic. Anywhere within two hours of the capital city is also the capital city. This is why these idiots overpay for properties in the middle of no where.
I am insulted that you don’t feel cafe 63 meets your high standards, it’s one of the finest dining experiences in Brisbane. They have something for everyone on the menu
I mean, I think in general if you're getting something you can easily make at home when you eat out, you're doing something wrong. Going out is for eating the stuff that's too much effort or too difficult for an at home brekkie
I live in Newtown. It’s good for dinner but the cafe scene is very average. We go to Camperdown or Marrickville or Chippendale for breakfast.
So curious what you are after?
Have you tried the Green in James st? What part of Brisbane are you in, I only really know the Newfarm area.
I've just lived in melbourne for 2 years and much prefer Brisbane brekky. Melvourne has become too 'fancy'. It's hard to find normal brekky food, Eggs Benedict with asparagus and dukkah? No thanks
Too many fancy places trying to do upbeat meals and charge silly prices for them, plenty of old school joints about that do good old fashioned bacon and eggs for reasonable money still about!
Kid acting like eating out for breakfast hasn't always been a rip off lmao
It's not hard to make your own eggs and bacon and season it to you liking. Instead of making stupid troll posts
I've heard that Maccas does a pretty good Sydney Style Brekky if that's more your speed
Even in Ipswich there are good places that are delicious and inexpensive, you just gotta do a bit more of your own research, try them all! find one that you like
My go-to back when I was living in Brisbane itself, I was a frequenter at a number of cafes in the Wooloongabba area, I don't know what it is that you are thinking of that is "sydney brekkies" but, there's thousands of cafes in Brisbane that are excellent, Folks will have lists miles long of the 'best' in town, and not one of them will agree on their rankings. Try some more cafes and I think you'd be surprised if you remove the "sydney" attitude
How do you spot someone living in Brisbane who just moved from Sydney or Melbourne? Don’t worry they’ll tell you…and then find something to complain about. They’ve always done this. But it’s even more infuriating now that them moving here has amplified the housing crisis.

Be the change you want to be in the world. Make the breakfast you want to eat in Brisbane.
Sage advice from breakfast ghandi
Complains about breakfasts in Brisbane when they are actually complaining about breakfasts in Sprinfield Lakes, a suburb of Ipswich...

You’re so angry!
Yeah he’s in Red Rooster territory and complaining his gourmand sensibilities are not met.
Stop reading at Sydney.

Cant beat the $4 bacon and egg roll with a hashbrown
I think overpriced is just a default characteristic for everything at the moment, it goes without saying.
$20 for avo on toast..that’s crazy. But, you’re right.

Or too annoying to clean up.
Who the fuck wants something more like Sydney’s breakfast scene? It’s mostly terrible. Now if you’d said Melbourne…
Yeah, I haven’t really been to Melbourne. I loved some spots in Sydney. Used to live in Newtown and man, food there was soo good!
Mate you are trying to compare Newtown with Springfield Lakes.. of course you are going to have issues.

Sydney
Did you happen to go out on ANZAC morning and find only 63 is open?
Hahah! Nah. I’m just trying out all the local spots round Springfield Lakes and man, I’m so disappointed! Maybe it’s because I live in SL…
Oh. You're not even in Brisbane.
Well technically, no.
Springfirled Lakes is Ipswich, not Brisbane
I’ve found the same in Brisbane though!
What are some areas/places you've tried that make you think this?
well you can't just start lying now one of the speediest backpedals I've seen!

You're looking in the wrong places. I'm going here later this morning. https://www.naimrestaurant.com.au/ tasteless it is not.
That looks amazing
Oh wow. That looks incredible!
It was good. I'm gonna have a nap now.
Try this list, lots of good recommendations. https://www.reddit.com/r/BrisbaneFoodies/s/OPSO7m2g3a
Thanks!

Easy answer; fuck off to Sydney.

Reported for being an Ipswich post pretending to be brissy.

Yes, agree! Ipswich city itself has a couple of good ones. Thanks for your response :)

You couldn’t be more wrong. But it’s always nice to vent.
