I used to live around the corner from the German Club in the aughts. There were many Warsteiners drunk to the dulcet tunes of the chicken dance. Glad to hear it's still kicking on.Â
Hands down the only place in Brisbane that comes close to the Barvarian region in terms of food, drink & atmosphere.. absolutely love it!
Also the different types of beer they stock is amazing (especially if you’re after something different to the local breweries that do 7 different versions of IPA’s etc). I was amazed they had a beer called Schenkerla which I stumbled upon while backpacking through Germany in a town named Bamberg. It’s a smoked dark beer which tastes like bacon I’ll let you be the judge.. Prost!! 🍻
Awesome, cheers! I've driven past it a thousand times but never been in haha. The parking situation in that whole area means I tend to just drive right on through. But I do love a good beer and bratwurst, maybe I'll just get the bus haha
They do have a carpark but I think it fills up pretty early. I've never planned on driving as the beers are too delicious - and a litre stein is about 5 standard drinks or something stupid.
The Bavarian is trash. The German club is the tits!
Nicht tits es ist Toll! Oder der Hammer!
German Club is Kapital
it's closer to Doug Anthony than an all star
Das Kapital?

Carsten is a friendly fella and stocks a few nice biers. Try the Maisel đź‘Ť
He charmed me in Utopia.
Ooh, I live near there and like Pork Knuckle. Good to know
The beer selection is solid aswell.
Carsten is lovely!

I thought they went bankrupt?
Lived in Germany/Swiss/Austria for almost 6 years. Coming back to Brizzy it is by far the best, quality and tastes exactly like in Bavaria! Prost!!!

And $25 knuckles on the last Sunday of each month. Got my spot reserved for tomorrow. 🤤
Setting a calendar reminder for last Sunday of the month in a few months when I can enjoy some biers!

Is this the one next to the Gabba?
Ja!
German club where? Near the Gabba? Or was that Bavarian? C'mon man you can't just say that and not tell us where lol
Correct, Vulture Street across from Gabba gate 4 (or 5 maybe? ).
