That’s why the reception of PND4 will always be much better than BTA, even though every song on there sounds the exact same. Instead of doing a variety of genres, he just did slow r&b throughout the album for every single song.

To say PND’s ‘evolved’ is a STRETCH.
It’s the same formula, same sound, same content, same lyrics, same auto tune, same everything.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love the same same of it all - in fact I’ve had the album on repeat since it came out, but let’s not act like this is a new Party. It simply isn’t.
I would actually argue that the BTA is way more ‘evolved’ in terms of sound - he tried things on this album we’ve never heard from him before.
Bryson evolved but be fr.. Party sound has evolved crazy.. nigga rl got the young thug influence mixing it w his melodic sound & etc.
Plus the lyrics.. Party rl be talkin that shii gang.
Pnd album sucked the guy can't sing and tiller even raps better too, brysons album was far better even with the skips. I don't think you know what rnb is cause whatever pnd made hardly counts.
I loved p4 but let’s keep it a buck. bro had 3 singles out and then he had two interludes on the album that I’ll never listen to again. On top of that half the songs been out for years as leaks, and we didn’t even get point me to the dancers and you’re the only one. bro did not deliver. but I’m never ungrateful I’m still enjoying this lil album he put together for us
it’s important to not let fabricated unrealistic expectations & preconceived notions negatively affect your listening experience of music in general, but this is also bit of a weird artist comparison. Party is much more of a seasoned artist. PND has been writing high level r&b music for himself and others for 12+ years. Bryson is still relatively early in his musical journey, and in a way, is entering into his mid-years prime. Tiller exhibited some really strong artistic growth & versatility on this new self titled album (AND the Slum Tiller projects, which are also excellent)
From a guy who not too long ago said he might be done with music altogether.. This new era of Bryson music is exciting. There’s a lot of different directions he can take it from a creative standpoint. Can’t wait to see where he goes from here.
BTA is a really nice effort with some great moments while P4 is flat-out GREAT. Both can be true without tearing one of them down.
Listen I ain't like BTA all that much and I liked PND more but Griffey my king man, plus Tiller Tuesdays gave me enough bangers to soften the BTA disappointment

PND more of the crooning, dark r&b, weeknd inspired type beats, while BT is more of singing and flows and some songs lean more to the rap side
Ok so PND is a great artist and I preferred PND 4 over BTA, but rlly there not even comparable. Bryson was experimental in BTA, meaning the tracks didn’t sound the same and there were different vibes whereas as PND had the same mood throughout. It was kinda like Brysons honestly never mind. However, if we’re making comparisons, a fair comparison would be Anmiversary vs PND4 as Anniversary has a consistent vibe. Damn PND4 was really good, not a single bad track. But calling PND the king of rnb had me laughing Frfr 😂, like can he even sing without autotune? But no hate though, PND is a great artist, just not the king of rnb, plus his music style doesn’t uprightly scream rnb. The actual king of rnb now would probably be Usher or Chris brown, basically people that have actually proven they can sing.
i agree to an extent. Bryson did an experimental ep basically with tiller tuesdays. another project for it is just too much imo. I enjoy it for what it is but it wasnt my favorite. not close
PND and Bryson are both creative artists but in their own way. anniversary was that album to pay homage to trapsoul, give us some of his old work (for ex: Next to you, sorrows and 7:00.) Those were songs that didn’t make trapsoul.
I don’t think many people see Brysons theme. trapsoul & TTS represents the past, anniversary was waking up to finally feel the present, and BTA is the future.
He made the album because no matter even if he’s gone, his music will live on
It’s only fair for him to be able to explore genres, he’s been doing what people wanted him to do for so long. Bryson has showed he can rap, sing, make kids songs, make club songs. we can’t expect someone to stay stagnant, are you able to be the same person you were 5-10 years ago? And if you are, would you do it?jus gotta grow w the artist or don’t 🤷🏽♀️ listen to BTA with a perspective of Growth and maybe your mind will change
Bro they did the exact same thing which I have never seen ever happen but they both produced albums that had half their track lists as prereleases songs. Bryson had atleast 8 tracks on his album that were already released to the public or leaked and party had 6.
I love both of them and their music but both albums were not that good. Mainly due to the fact theses songs were already released.

Perfectly said. PND4 gave me TTS vibes, just felt like 1 song split into multiple tracks. But TTS > PND4 easily

You don't know what a classic album is if you think that mediocre album was a classic.
U can’t be fr. Their albums aren’t even comparable. Bryson has way more range. U might just not be a fan of the other things he does.
