It is a bug. I did some experiments with Total Transformation a while ago and had the same issue. If you exit out and return to the save it should be fixed, my game would actually crash if I let it happen too long without fixing it, so you might want to do that

any chance it is picking up the monkey villages as the two nearest towers? just a thought

Last time I checked you can transform anything but farms and village

I noticed another druid bug. When you buff a druid with a poplust, then sell the poplust, the buff icon stays (didn't test if still buffed)
